  • When doing an alternate engine conversion\swap often the gearbox will be changed too. More modern gearboxes have a hydraulic clutch and so will need to convert or swap pedals to suit a hydraulic Master Slave cylinder setup. This is how we built ours DIY.
*UPDATE.. It squeaks! lol something has started squeeking so going to have to look into that it's annoying ha ha. Also the small 10mm change in arm length has definitely made the clutch heavier, so if something that concerns you maybe worth avoiding. However I'm getting full clutch activation and gear change is a dream compared with the previous version. considering a servo assist, but that's something for a a future vid 😊👍*

I have a plan for another setup modifying the pedals, but going to leave it unless causes any trouble again. Tx for watching :) PS: Sorry for the delay responding. A bunch of comments didn't show or reply on my phone, wasn't till I logged into the PC I could see it! Weird!

That's brilliant Al. I'm going have to go hydraulic on mine at some point, and this is a really neat way of doing it. Thanks for making the vid 👍

I reckon this conversion is easier than trying to hook a new clutch cable on🤣

Excellent work. I can appreciate the innovation and alternative thinking and fabricating to get the job done. Very cool car by the way. Your explanations are quite thorough, sir. Thank you very much.😃🐝🌈🌈🌈⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

BTW I'm thinking of redoing them. Got a great idea for modding the pedals, moving the brake master sideways and fitting the clutch alongside it. Might be a while till get round to this tho 😅👍

It's just a short length of box section, from memory about 1'' square to lift it up a bit. I'm actually thinking of modding the pedals and relocating it next to the brake master. This would be a better option and save the complication of this build. Something for the future tho as working well atm. 😊👍
