Hi there loving your videos,I was wondering if you could advise me on what driveshafts I would need for my 1990 ef hatchback, I am have fitted a b16a2 vtec engine but am experiencing a lot of vibration with the ek4 shaft I have fitted, any help would be appreciated. Many thanks Neil.
Depends on your intermediate shaft. Either DA or DC Integra usually. Unless yours is using the original part then I'm unsure which axles to use with those for the driver side.
Finally able to watch the who video! Lol. Glad you got the conversion done. Worth the reliability to get rid of those vents. Really looking forward to seeing the process you do on the dash! I haven't flocked because of the exact issues you mentioned. Can't clean em which makes it a rough option.
Still enjoy watching all the Pioneers in the Honda game throwing up content wish we could have heard a little VTEC at the end definitely good content though
You'll still have AC. It just won't supply the far side over there. The center and right vents will get all of the airflow and shouldn't be any issue for an AC equipped ac.
I have a yellow 1989 Honda crx si! Mid 90’s we pulled out stock si power plant swapped black cover ZC DOHC and now, I reinstalled stock si power plant @ 3,000 rpm bogged out
Yes you did it! I've been running my hydro converted pedal assembly for almost a year now and my D series hydro trans shifts a lot easier since going full hydro. But I've found that the EF clutch pedal just doesn't have the right throw, so the leverage is never quite right. My plan is to fabricate the firewall of my EF to fit an EG clutch pedal assembly. Seems easy enough to do, but I'll have to delete the brake booster, luckily they sell brake booster plate for $50 on ebay! Hoping I get it done soon!
I did this with ek master and slave with - 4 hose, only a HD clutch or stage 2 as you Americans call it and the pedal is so extremely hard it's impossible to push in
I’m having a lot of trouble getting the slave to return , it extends so far that my clutch never meets the flywheeel, I’ve adjusted the pedal up and down and can’t seam to get it to let the clutch down
I’m half way through the video right now. I wanted to ask before I forget. But does your buddy have more of those brackets for sale? I’m super interested
Is the eg cmc is bigger them em1 ??? I did this on my ef with a em1 cmc i cant put it on gears while is running New clutch new trans i bleed that cmc but no luck
So this bracket is supposed to work in my 1988 crx? Im going to use the b16 transmission. Do you think the eg master cilinder still works fine for my b series transmission?
what would i look for when trying to buy the cmc and slave from autozone, can i get a parts number,i have a 89 ef sedan that im trying to convert to hydro and having trouble finding parts and u please help🙏
Not at all. I have a heavier 1.5 Competitive Clutch. I think it kept stretching the cable and wouldn't allow the car to go into gear smoothly and I hated grinding this S80 R trans.
Makes me wonder how LHT did his? Oh. On another note. If you haven't yet. Since it's a track car. And if you haven't done it yet. You should try to delete your steering column lock. For safety purposes.
@@GarageBuiltHondas not exactly sure how LHT did it. In his recent series, the crx he was working on, he put a hydraulic clutch in it. But he never did say what he used for the pedal assembly. But he probably has a write up somewhere. And the jdi setup sounds nice. But I've heard mixed reviews. Something with the boards shorting out and stuff. But their main relay replacement, now that's something worth buying
how is the pedal feel? I have the original hush kit that mounts to the U part of the clutch pedal and it has some slop and is super stiff with a stage 3 action clutch. the new one im making is super similar to that bracket.
I have a Competition Clutch 1.5 which is heavier and I think what was causing the cable to stretch. The pedal feel is awesome, feels like I'm driving an EG/DC now with how easily it engaged the clutch.
I haven't read these "comments" you're talking about. As long as a hydro setup is braced properly there shouldn't be any issue with heavier clutches as the CMC is still able to push the fluid with no movement in the CMC.

Cómo puedo conseguir la pieza esa del clutch
@GarageBuiltHondas is there any place to get that bracket. I really need one bad.
Awesome! This conversion really saves on the pedal assemblies. I had like 3 EF/CRX assemblies break with the cable/hydro bracket.
Thanks for that info. This feels good so far. Excited to get some feedback from the racetrack.
Been looking for an alternative now that hush doesnt offer their kit anymore. Great video!
That’s funny this pops when I’m finishing my ef build and I’m currently trying to get the innovative kit setup.
Always enjoy watching all of your uploads. Good camera work.
Oh wow! Trevor is forever saying I should hydro-covert my EF!
Looks like a nice piece. I installed the Hush Performance full hydro conversion on my 1989 CRX. Used to be a manual.
👍

I remember watching Youngstatic make his own bracket. I was going to attempt it but found out about the vent delete. I gotta have my AC. 😂

Killer Job Dude great video Jon. Keep up the good work

Awesome!
Mine seems great, the CMC piston is pushed in all the way and I had great feel even with a little heavier 1.5 Competition Clutch.
Looks like a solid conversion. I wish there was an easy way to keep all the vents and bolt in a hydraulic conversion.
Agreed man. Something extensive with fab work done to the clutch pedal may work. Would be cool to see.
Did you have issues bleeding the clutch
Hydro clutches are a little weird already but no, it went smoothly on this setup.
I did this with ek master and slave with - 4 hose, only a HD clutch or stage 2 as you Americans call it and the pedal is so extremely hard it's impossible to push in
Mine is stiffer than what the setup is intended for but not difficult by any means.
I’m having a lot of trouble getting the slave to return , it extends so far that my clutch never meets the flywheeel, I’ve adjusted the pedal up and down and can’t seam to get it to let the clutch down

You can contact him on Instagram. @1tealrex
Thank you very much!!
What throttle cable are you using ,mine is to short one way and to long another ,it will bind when full throttle and cause stuck acceleration ☠️
88-91 Civic/CRX Si on a B swap.
Is the eg cmc is bigger them em1 ???
I did this on my ef with a em1 cmc i cant put it on gears while is running
New clutch new trans i bleed that cmc but no luck
It might be since it was a B series engine in the EM1.
you can buy the correct length clutch hose from rywire if needed
👍
So this bracket is supposed to work in my 1988 crx? Im going to use the b16 transmission. Do you think the eg master cilinder still works fine for my b series transmission?
Haha perfect timing. I just mocked up a bracket for a new setup! Need to find a OEM master to finish it up though
I'm using an AutoZone CMC.
@@GarageBuiltHondas i might go that route as well.
There is plenty of videos on how to restore/rewrap a dash and it will come out much better.
It's a track car. Not wanting to restore it. Just want it functional and a little better looking.
what would i look for when trying to buy the cmc and slave from autozone, can i get a parts number,i have a 89 ef sedan that im trying to convert to hydro and having trouble finding parts and u please help🙏
Which conversion bracket are you using?
i dont have that yet either,im trying to use the link u posted from the guy that fabricates them
Are you on Instagram?
yea i sent him a message yesterday
if i were to get that bracket what would the part numbers be on the cmc and slave
The feel of the hasport one that bad??
Not at all. I have a heavier 1.5 Competitive Clutch. I think it kept stretching the cable and wouldn't allow the car to go into gear smoothly and I hated grinding this S80 R trans.
link for the bracket ?

Oh. On another note. If you haven't yet. Since it's a track car. And if you haven't done it yet. You should try to delete your steering column lock. For safety purposes.
Me too. Maybe use a Hush kit of something similar?
That's a good idea. I wanted the JDI push start anyway and it does that so that'd be cool.
@@GarageBuiltHondas not exactly sure how LHT did it. In his recent series, the crx he was working on, he put a hydraulic clutch in it. But he never did say what he used for the pedal assembly. But he probably has a write up somewhere.

I had the JDI in my EK and didn't have an issue with it. I'd still give them a shot. I do want that relay setup though.
How do you mount the slave onto the trans itself?
All Honda B series slaves are mounted using 2 bolts.
Dumb question but did you swap the trans to a hydro Trans? Or is this just to kinda replace the cable? So confused

Been reading comments so is this bad to use if you have a “ more then stock “ clutch? Or is that other conversions

@@GarageBuiltHondas okay awesome that what I was logically thinking I read somthing Seth said somthing bout it maybe I didn’t read it properly
Any chance you have an ac compressor for a 91ef ?
I don't. You're better off buying a brand new one. I wouldn't trust an old one.
@17.17 what shifter is this?
and what cable using for?
ruclips.net/video/I2r1DJOlcfg/видео.html
Cable?
Bro, Ive been researching this lately. Just picked up an ef. Is your guy willing to sell the bracket? Will buy one asap
I left his IG link as the pinned comment.
@@GarageBuiltHondas Thanks. I message him. Appreciate it
will that b series cable kit fit on a k24?
What cable kit?
You said you got the slave cylinder from autozone ? What year/model is it off of ?
You'll buy the one needed for whichever transmission you're using.
@@GarageBuiltHondas it's an s80 , I got it from hmotor I think it's civic type r trans it has jfd stamped on it I believe
All hydro b are interchangeable
