Hey there. I listened to your comments and I can relate to them . I did make a major decision to retire when I was in a very positive space in one way but personally in a heart wrenching one. My husband of 42wonderful years was critically ill and needed me as never before in this way. The POWER of that LOVE really made the design It took me by my hand and showed me the way.Nothing else at that time mattered. I felt POWERFUL in knowing. He passed shortly after ,now 8 years later and NO regrets. Thank you for sharing. We truly are never alone in this challenging existence. Amaste❤❤

...in this amazing video, there are six, not five - situations when to stay silent! ...and I added a seventh.
1 - When your judgment is clouded
2 - When your words will be hurtful
    3 - When your opinion doesn't matter
4 - When you don't have enough evidence
5 - When asked not to speak
6 - When you don't have anything to say
...and I will add a seventh - 7: When your action will speak louder than your voice!

I actually really like the advice in this video (even if it might not be from Einstein.) Talking about your problems openly and finances and I would include expenses and purchases as well prove harmful for you. The more people know about you the more they can use against you. Tell only people close to you. The reality is that most people are either selfish or badly motivated. People say talking about their problems is healthy but in reality I believe it makes you weaker and more fragile.

I can understand number 3. People will often ask for your opinion on certain things, but then when you give them your opinion, they always shoot it down. Well, then why ask for someone's opinion? This has happened to me several times, so I just stay silent and do not say anything. But,... they are more pissed because you don't have nothing to say, only to get turned down, so what do you do ?
Stay silent. And if they want to get rid of you, then so be it.

Someone can ask for your opinion that doesn't mean they are going to abide by it. You never know where inspiration will come from. It is usually good to get input from several ppl, all of whom are likely to have different opinions. Nobody should be offended by this. You might dismiss someone's opinion bc you've already tried that idea and it didn't work, or the idea might not be one you could pull off successfully.
It is not good to stay silent if you do have an opinion bc it might help your friend. What is very wrong to do is argue for your opinion or be disparaging of someone bc they choose not to use your idea. If the problem is at work you may be familiar w it, but if it is personal, you very likely don't have all the facts so it is poor judgment to insist that your opinion is correct and a waste of time to argue for it.

@Paul Frost I think that some people can sense in you when you have positive power in the mind, and they know that when you speak, the words you say can affect some people in a good direction, or simply your words or opinions are far more better than those who always think that their way is better and they need to have the last word, or opinion no matter what the conversation is about. So, I figured to stay silent, and let those who always want to run their mouths all the time, eventually tell on themselves and ultimately,.. make themselves look stupid. 😁

That's so me!!! I recognized myself in some of these wise advices. And God knows I regretted my foolish words afterward. Even if you didn't want to hurt other people, your words will have the same effect on these persons. Always take the time to think carefully about what you will tell to other people. Once your words are freed, it's pointless to try to catch them! 🤐

I remember yrs. ago the company I worked for had a highly paid consultant participate in a sales meeting.
The day worn on and time was now short so the VP in the meeting asked that he to cover the last pt. in his book which he felt was important to us.
The consultant got agitated and stated he does not do shortcuts.
I would have insisted he procced as requested, he is being paid for our needs..... but not this VP.
He said nothing and just allowed the guy to follow his own format.
Afterward, I asked the VP "How come you did not insist that he cover what was requested? You just remained silent."
His reply to me was: "Oh, I did not remain silent. I simply told him the other three scheduled sessions were no longer needed."
He said nothing in front of the sales group. He did not have to prove he was the boss. This was evidence.

Honest person's silence is taken as a big mistake or crime at times.
In offices and outside, we find people who just wait for you to talk or silence you to degrade you.
In tt case one is confused, whether Silence is golden or being Frank and honest is right.
Later, those same people say, "Why didn't you speak that time? Now it's too late. We would have supported you."
That's why Silence is not beneficial.....I've seen in my family and in neighborhood.....who silently waited for good days or right time to come died of Heart Attacks. While people like me who give Tit for Tat are still living.
    This is life.
Agree or don't agree....it's bitter but true. 🤔🙏

Good advice. #2 about being harsh. Hmm. My neighbor has been told again and again to not come over at certain hours, (I'm severely disabled) but she did. Anyway, with an impulse. last night she comes over while I am watching a sermon. "My hair is done. Did I cover up the gray?" I say, "There are 7 more minutes." Now, I am being filled with the holy spirit and she interrupts for the 2nd time for us to go outside with 2 minutes left.....Yes, there are situations where others need to hear the truth, harsh as it may be. I lit into her. "Your thoughtlessness is astounding!" And I brought up where she called another friend while she knew she was in a medical treatment. Silence. It is Biblical. Even idiots have wisdom when they're silent. But there are times you have to protect yourself. Some people act like selfish children, testing to see just how much or how far they can push you or just how much they can get away with, or whatever. What is selfishness and what is the spirit of sabotage? And how much better are we here in the Prozac age? I told her we're all accountable. She deserved worse.
