Don't forget to make Dua for Palestine insha Allah
This is the first time I've come across this brother but he seems like a real one. Very down to earth alhamdullilah. Great interview
Please bring on shaykh Ashiq
Please bring on ustadh Asim Khan!! he started his hifz whilst working full time and was still completing it whilst he had kids Allahumma Barik Lahu. he didn't go to madrassah as a child but is now an ustadh and hafiz and author, doing amazing work for the Ummah. May Allah accept all his good deeds.
Is this the guy who abused and married a 12 year old?
This is my favourite episode of Freshly Grounded of all time.
1:17:37 he is so right! I went to Dubai for a family wedding, ended up staying with the in-laws (ie the not-my-family side). We stayed in some high fancy tower in the middle of the city. Our hosts continually badmouthed the staff, made fun of them, laughed at their disadvantages. Being from Australia, we greet everyone with “hows it going”, and a comment about the weather. It began as an acknowledgement to the staff for their assistance, and continued purposefully as we noticed the disrespect towards them. The staff cried when we left. We felt so good as they seemed like a warm welcome upon our return each day - no matter the type of day they had - it felt incumbent on us to be outwardly friendly with them. I always think about that.
Good on you mate. I've always thought that people who feel the need to put others down to elevate themselves are insecure and shallow. Take care from another Aussie.🇦🇺
They way he did the conversation in American accent tooo funny 😂😂😂😂
😂
i remember abdullah abdulllah is a very humble and knowledgeable salafi brother اللهم بارك , and guz khan , can’t really have bad word to say about him , literally just a lovable brother, addictive personality ,, i would see him showing respect to all ppl and clicking instantly with them ..truly gifted by Allah اللهم بارك
may Allah protect him and his family from all evil and grant him the ability to use his talent even more for islam and the muslims .
The crux of the matter about 'treating people well' is fulfilling rights of people, ie family, friends, fellow Muslims, neighbours, wider community, humanity. The basic starting principle of Salaam and smile. If we become fulfillers of each other's rights the world becomes a better place in every sense. 🤲🏽
I had the pleasure of meeting guz at meat and shake in South London. Very humble and down to earth person and he was very happy to take a quick snap.
Vhaa, vhaa. Gullam Saab we need more brothers in our community like you. You’re humble and you have a sense of self and identity.
Bismillah.
cool interview, guz is awesome. so true about the parents at the end and also about being present in conversation to lift up people. 👍
1:06:39 that quote would probably save a lot of relationships " Even Allah didn't stop the people from criticizing him and if he didn't stop that for himself then why do you think you deserve for people not to criticize you".
Loved this podcast, love Guz what a decent guy and what a nice story about his mum 🙏🏽
Enjoyed the podcast, thank you. Bro send us the reading list too!!
First in depth chat I've heard from Bro Guz, mashallah proud he's killing it out there 👏🏽
I’m from Coventry too and he’s right there’s no real asipiration here guz khan is an inspiration fr
thanks for getting Guz I love him, going to go see him in January Insha'Allah
Such an enjoyable pod. Guz is a real one. Well done FG, Faisal is a great host.
When Guz said you need to see Abdullah Abdullah 😅😅 but the story about the whipping the backside inside the mosque had me in absolute tears..😅 A tubelight OMDzzzzz
This was a fantastic, funny and enlightening podcast
Amazing episode!!
Lovely pod lads
Loved this. Guz Khan legend. I’d love to meet him one day inshallah
24:40 "Allah tauba" im dead LOOOOL
It got me too! 🤣💀
Genuinely a great podcast.
loved this one! ❤️
PLEASE BRING ON QARI YOUNUS amazing young brother with bags of quranic knowledge
What an amazing character guz has. Just so likeable! May Allah bless him 😊
Absolutely no disrespect what so ever to the lad doing the questioning however he does take a longggggggg time explaining his question and then talking about his own personal life with his question wayyy to much, needs to shorten his questions so we can hear guz khan more and his other guests in the future
I agree. I'm not here because of the host. He spoke far too much about himself and interrupted a lot. He also sometimes either forgot his train of thought or seems to have so much to say he forgets/doesn't complete the end of sentences.
Good advice. Could’ve been worded better though
Love this guy❤
Man like Guz 💙💙
you make me feel homesick
MaSha’allah Guz khan
You know during Apartheid in SA in the Cape Province anyway, school would finish at 1pm on a Friday for certain religious moments.
Why didn't he let Guz Khan speak. I only clicked on this because of Guz. I've never heard of this podcast before or this bro
Great interview. I found this really interesting. Sounds like a descent guy and made quite a few interesting comments.
Great episode!
Great episode but felt the interviewer’s questions could have been more clear and concise. However, Jzk for the interesting topics
ave loved your YawTyabe chat! x
Somali brothers are always good friends
Loved the podcast, this guy is a legend.
Plus big up Abdullah Abdullah 🤣
Love you mi Brumie Breadi x
1:15:20 "Where do you want me to put this cake, in my bund?" took me OUT 💀 came out of nowhere 🤣
Fascinating, beautiful conversation, forgive guz for being from West Midlands, East mids forever :P
your a propper broad Brumie, nuff love
great comedian!
"I know you from somewhere"
Yeah I'm your dad 😂
Why did i find this so funny 😂
your gals never took the excuse, they always did you well, feel your perspective on that, it's correct! mine did too, Irish Brumie background and all I ever felt from the midlands was fareness
May Allah bless our brother Guz❤️🩹
The host needs to let the guest talk more, felt like he was waffling too much
The interviewer keeps telling his life story 😂
1 act of kindness everyday …..
The best freshly grounded episode!
The ones with the sheikhs are a lot better
love guz
your so down to earth, you do us proud brother, even if you are from Cov😜 xxxxxxxxx
This guy is a legend
“Israr aagya” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bro said "alcohol and narcotics" loool subxanAllah!
16:22 klayze is calm but trust me the guys he was associated with when he was younger (not the music guys) were crazy.
When he gave away the money a heavy load was lifted from his soul and the only thing left was thinking if he did the right thing .
Abdullah abdullah
😅 Sounds like a top guy. May Allah reward Him
Just some advice, be more concise with the questioning
Get shaykh abdul majid on bro. That will be a really good podcast. 👍
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Is this about the presenter or the guest?
Big up all the Ghulams
Man got me on fortnite 😂😂
The presenter is waffling
Slow down when your speaking!
Guz s mum is top G . Aunty Zainab khan is an amazing beautiful soul .
A lovely woman on the deen .
She is mashallah so funny and can make u laff without trying .😊❤️
❤
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
respect, never Burdon the matriarchs that made us, so true
I don’t understand why people are saying Faisal didn’t let him speak. The best thing about his podcasts is that he has two way conversation type pods. I thought Guz spoke alot…
What did Somli bro do 2 the money?
I miss Brum
❤️❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹
The podcast was so much better before Faisal moved to Dubai
And dont ask 5 minute questions.
& love
The interviewer be chattin too much wass
Interviewer needed to keep some of questions simpler and spoke too much at times
Is the podcast called freshly grounded because he takes soo long to dig the question out? , btw great guest Guz Khan humble brother
This episode has completely been destroyed by the host. 🤦♂️
Why do you think that?
that don't just get to me because I'm white, that get's to me because it don't feel like they are trying hard enough (ricks) x
I'm no positive race parsnip either, I can hold my own in a debate about racism, licking the next mans arse out of some weird guilt about thinking that they themselves are actually racist, I know I ent, so it tickles me seeing all of the discomfort around it (RICK'S!) lol, nuff love x
Ghulam jamun
Big up hillfileds
Bring on lowkey
This is a Muslim podcast that does not endorse music. We don't want a rappers as guests unless they've reformed. Also lowkey has denied the Uyghur genocide, in which Muslims are suffering.
@@user-yf5je1dn1qHaving people like kareem (lowkey) on can show most Muslims how to speak on the Palestine matter. Everything else you said needs receipts because you could be falling into sin by misrepresenting him
At 42 munute mark, you interupted his story, just to tell an uninteresting story about yourself that i couldn't understand one word of. May be try to listen to your guest.
I agree. The host talks so fast and tells his own story when he should focus on keeping the interview flowing.
The interviewer is extremely boring 😴
Assalamu alaikum Faisal and Kaya, I pray you and your families are well. Thank you for the other, beneficial content you provide.
I have to say I watched this until halfway, I looked up who this brother was. I know what he said about criticism but as a long-time listener of FG, I feel I have to point out that platforming this brother may be giving people who haven't come across him/his material exposure in which case, it can be wise to remove this video.
When I looked him up, I saw his show at the apollo where there was lots of swearing come up as well as him taking the mick out of a creation of Allah, his own child. I also saw a clip from his show where a woman kissed him on the cheek then slapped him. I thought, both are from 4 years ago, the brother may have turned a new leaf.
You mentioned his funny posts online in response to some people, I went onto his Twitter yesterday and saw he called someone a female private part (which is wrong in the first place) in an incredibly crude way. There's also a recent clip of him shared by him where there is some inappropriateness with a woman who he is putting something in her top.
Your guests have included shuyukh and most recently, shaykh Musa, who was talking about the words of Allah. I understand this brother had a big change with brother Abdullah Abdullah and that is commendable but I genuinely don't think it is appropriate for someone who is openly using profanity and doing inappropriate things with women on shows to be platformed on FG. I was unable to message you privately hence the comment here, sorry about that.
We should not fear the people, hence I am writing this here regardless of criticism I may get, but I wouldn't want anyone my age or younger or older, to come across Guz Khan as a result of FG and follow him.
May Allah guide us all. Ameen
I also had reservations about this episode too due to the language used in it. I didn't even know about situations you've mentioned apart from the swearing at live shows, which is definitely wrong. Having such beautiful people of knowledge on the show is what we love but even with the episodes that don't have Shayookh, at least we know the people in it will be striving to use clean language, not promote haram etc. There needs to be more vetting of the guests and control over topics discussed/what is said. If a guest is promoting profanity on the show or on their other social media platforms, then that is not a guest that should be on the show.
@@user-yf5je1dn1q Thank you for sharing your thoughts, brother/sister, I appreciated reading this. I completely agree. There is goodness in having reformed brothers with good messages on the show but not those who are actively, publically sinning and giving bad representations of Muslims, potentially making people think it's fine for Muslims to use some very horrifying profanity. FG platforming him gives him a wider reach to some of us that might not have heard of Guz Khan in the first place, nor come across his public sins, and it also seems like condoning his actions and profanity. We ask for better and for FG to stick to very strict vetting of guests بإذن الله
I understand the sentiment of your words yet feel that you come across as highly judgemental. Guz Khan, in my opinion is a really good man with good morals and I don't feel from seeing a vast amount of his acting, comedy and interviews that he has any bad intent. I prefer someone who is imperfect, honest and straight up like him than someone who puts on a front of being morally superior - but is in reality a hypocrite. Wouldn't it be an incredibly boring world if we were all the same? We all live our lives differently, we have a huge variety of families, upbringings, education, etc ... Your moral compass and interpretation of what is correct will be vastly different from your brothers and sisters. Maybe we should be less judgemental of others and be more concerned with how we live day to day and the personal relationships we have with our faith and our families, friends and the strangers we interact with. Take care.
@@Blessed-Beautiful I agree with you wholeheartedly. My own father was hugely religious, he judged others so harshly and as kids it was like being in the military... All rules, no fun. He was a massive hypocrite and not a loving, kind or compassionate man. So when I hear people who appear to try and be morally superior... The red flags go up for me. Thankfully I had an incredible Mum. Non judgmental, warm, kind, loving and generous. I'm incredibly grateful to have had her example to follow. She was still devoutly religious yet had a brilliant sense of humour. You're obviously a strong, resilient and tenacious woman to get through the adversity you've experienced. I think having a good laugh helps... I laugh at some pretty dark humour as I find it helps.
Back to Guz, I only found this channel whilst searching for more Guz content too. He's brilliant. Have you seen 'Man like Mobeen' on Netflix? It's great. I find little gems on RUclips with him in it too.
Anyway , now I'm rambling and I don't have autism as an explanation... I just waffle on. 😂
I sincerely hope that life is being kind to you now. Take care from Australia.
Faisal is my nephew...so proud of what he has achieved..Mash'allah Fais..love you..great pod cast❤
if someone respects you, the least they can do is get your name right ( ignorant ricks)
Brother you talk to much, let the person who you have invited to talk more. It feels that this podcast is more about you
"Do you remember anything of your Dad when he passed away"
"Oh yes, my son is going to turn three tomorrow"
👀🤦🏽♂️
As an interviewer learn to listen and let your guest speak. interruptions are irritating, I wanted to hear in depth Guz not the interviewers life stories..
Some grey guy 😂
I feel like the host is a little white washed tbh ive seen some of his podcasts before and never would of thought my man cant be true to himself like your name is your name my bro let them pronounce it the right way.
Tommy Is Israel brand. Boycott!
Funniest episode mA
I didnt know Guz is muslim. I watched him on Taskmaster, and thouth he is Hindu😅
