Absolutely love you, I've been trying to rig with all these other "tutorial" videos out there on youtube. Rewatched each of them about 5 times and gave up. Side note, in Blender 4.x you need press K, not I to get the menu for KeyFrame (I key just adds one, not sure what parameters are set if you hit I). Great Tutorial BTW
I'm trying to rig a much more complicated model and I can't figure out how to do the loop cuts! No matter what I try, moving the armature doesn't move the model...
I wasted the whole day trying to rig it using unity, even though I got the rig in, the animation was painful, now I will just rig, model, animate in blender and set up the procedural animation in unity
My problem is that my characters features like the eyes and mouth (which are very simple, basic shapes) dont stay with the movement, everything else is perfect.
If I understand you right: the eyes on your character stay in place and don't follow the head movement. If that is the issue, you have to select eyes and weight paint them so they are 100% assigned to head bone only.
shift click allows to select multiple objects. For connecting, do you mean you have separate meshes for each eyes, noses, body or you are referring to the armature bones for eyes, nose and body?

@@StarLightFilmProductions when you select the bones on weight paint does it show if it's all blue or actually shows the color yellowish red to indicate that the bone is actually affecting the part of the mesh?
Please can someone tell me how to turn aremture creation on click off I can not select anything in my scene only create new armeture and I can't find a tutorial on how to turn this feature off .. Why must this be so aggravating?

I was about to give up on Blender, it just looked too complicated. This tutorial helped me stick with it, thanks very much.

In blender 3.5 when extruding bones from the root they doesn’t stay connected, does anyone know how to fix that?

@@poly_flo so i figured out the mirror hotkey, but when i hover over the bone and press E or Z, it does nothing except make tthe bone inverted
