Ian, as Tommy Makem used to say, you have great taste, I doubt if anyone could more feeling into this song as he does, Thank you for posting the song and the descriptive film to go with it.
A good rendering of this most powerful song. His 'Irish tone' as you call it takes away a little of the 'abrasion' (I don't quite know how to describe it, 'earthiness' maybe?) typical of a Border ballad, certainly interesting.
This is most beautifully sung and the story being told visually makes it understandable to anyone who might not be familiar with the story. Would it be possible to show this - with accreditation - at our International Welcome Club Burns Night on Friday 29 Jan 2021, please?

@@1234549084 You're doing a grand job. I liked the 'Jock' visuals - the expressions were perfect from the unwilling bride and settings were so good to give an impression of past times. You must put a lot of time into look for the best 'clip' to use.
