That was a great demo not only of your excellent scanner but also of the start to finish process of scan to CAD via Design X. I've seen way too many demos that gloss over the difficult questions or types of jobs whereas you got right in there and didn't leave anything out. Well done sir!

Sorry i dont speak in english, but the most popular extension is .stl, this format is that i use always, and its perfectly compatible with polyworks and control x, if you want i can send you a screenshot directly from vx elemnts with the list of al formats

What would I call those pyramid shaped stands if I were to try and buy some for myself?

I'm going to say 40k to 70k depending on model. I have no affiliation with these guys, but this is a fairly accurate estimate.

the one from china is around 3k-4k Usd and from Japan (shinning 3D) or USA, Germany is much more expensive (30k+)
