Mmm yes, i just repotted my Mama’s pothos who passed in 2019! She’s been growing happily but recently I feel like she’s been wanting fresh soil + a bigger pot to grow more!♥️♥️

My grandmas best friend who passed away gave her a pothos which grew around her entire house like madness. During a move it was damaged but the very long vine rooted and now they have 2 at my grandmas. I propagated a few of the leaves successfully so I I’m continuing the process.

This video was so helpful- soaking the roots really helped me to arrange my pothos in the pot so much better than just dropping the roots into new soil all coiled up!! I also put some moss on top of it as a top dressing and it looks gorgeous. I’m notoriously bad at plant keeping so hopefully this one makes it!

My mother had the green thumb in the family and could grow anything from plants to fruit trees. She passed passed in 2018, and I'm now starting to get into gardening and keeping indoor plants myself. I no longer have her around to ask questions. I'm so so pleased to have came across your channel and this video in particular because Now it's time for me to repot my pothos. I bought everything needed but before doing so, I needed a few refreshers. Lol So happy I found your video. I don't know why I used to think that exposing the plant's roots for too long could shock the plant. I learned something new today. 😌 Thanks again. I'm a new subbie.

Your story is so similar to mine, I lost my mom in 2019, she was the one with the green thumb, while she was here I paid very little attention to her gardening and planting, it's now been 4years and I'm barely letting go and started to learn how to report as she has many indoor plants that I am now responsible for, they are in bad need of repotting, all I do is water and trim and walk by looking at how ugly they look yet beautiful because they are still alive and somewhat thriving (barley 😬)...I hope I have the courage to report them and hope they don't die from that❤❤

I’m nervous to repot mine that I just acquired! It’s 10+ years old and I don’t know how long ago it was given new soil.. it was my Dad’s (from his work; he passed away 5 years ago), and so it means a lot to me- I’m terrified I will kill it by doing anything “dramatic” or disturbing it.

Yeah, I don't usually make such of a production of straightening out the roots, but on this poor little guy they were just going around the pot in circles strangling themselves 😫 They looked too unhappy to just keep as they were....must be one of my crazy plant lady things lol "these roots need care and attention" lol 🤷‍♀️

So glad to have come across your video! I came into possession of a 10+ year old golden pothos from my Dad who passed away and desperately want to keep it thriving! I’m so scared I’m going to mess it up. 😭 I need to put it in a bigger container with some new soil but now I’m wondering if I should soak it and remove all the old soil like you did to freshen it up. Would you recommend that, given the age of this plant, or should I keep the soil it has and add new around it as I repot it into a bigger planter? 🥴🫣

Yes! Pothos grow crazy fast. With a slower-growing plant like ZZ i wouldn't spacit it out so much, but Pothos are such fast growers I like to give each cutting a bit of room. It hasn't even been a year since I made this video and I'm probably going to have to repot it or at least trim it back again this spring 🤷‍♀

I know this plant is almost impossible to kill 😮 so I’m at a loss. It looks like the problem is coming from the roots up, and then the leaves just wilt, turn yellow and fall off.
