Note: The episode “Key to the Kingdom is the only episode of Xena: Warrior Princess that Gabrielle does not appear in without any mention or reference to her due to Renee O’Connor filming the movie “Rubbernecking.”
I like Gabrielle, but i think she was shoe horned in a LOT of episodes when she really didn't need to be there.
@@saskruffriders8234 she was a companion and possibly the angel on Xena's shoulder unlike Iolaus who was a very capable fighter.
xxlCortez Hercules (TLJ) didn’t have Iolaus in every episode, though. Sometimes it was Salmoneus, others it was Autolycus; and in rare instances it was a one off character. I think Xena could’ve done with similar type of companions.
@@saskruffriders8234 Gabrielle was more tied to Xena, she specifically left her village looking for adventures with her. She was harder to excuse in general, she was just a villager without excuse to visit far away friends or relatives.
@@xxlCortez You're entitled to your opinion. IMO, there were a lot of episodes where Gabrielle did relatively nothing or added no value to the outcome of the plot.

He quitted his Job as King of Thieves. In the Last Season of Hercules.
And Salmoneus was sent into Prison for not paying His taxes. ( Hercules mentionend that in an Episode.)
