This episode was hilarious XD I've seen multiple series and quite soem of them have at least one 'da ja vu' episode and most of the time, I don't really like these episodes but I loved this one xD I loved Teds commentary about Xena and Gabrielles relationship. The subtext in this episode was briliant xD Xenas face/eyebrows when she said 'both ways' (I'd love to have seen Gabbrielles face there xD) and the 'is that a hickey?' part xD I was like 'What did you two do?' *nudge nudge, wink wink* and Gabrielles reaction there was brilliant XD I love these two and this series but havn't finished it yet sono spoilers please! I just started season 3 now
i love how lucy always puts funny subtextual things into the episodes. whenever you watch a commentary the directors or whoever are always like "oh yeah lucy decided to add that and we just keep it" lol.

🙄....oh plse...they used it to ruse in more viewers .....Xena and Gabrielle was falling for different guys every season except for Gabrielle the last two seasons, after the killing of Eli her heart was pretty much closed...But had they kept the character around longer it made sense for Gabrielle to fall in love with Eli....Any way Both of the characters were never even interested other women through the seris so The subtext made no sense except to indulge fan fiction......To have there relationship to go beyond tht would have destroyed the essence of true friendship ...

I didn't like the fact that Ted was so certain about the Subtext, I like it better when it's left open for interpretation. I don't like the subtext thing, I like Gabrielle and Xena better as friends with a love beyond simple romantic love.
Yeah trolling fail, that episode of Charmed happened a few years after this Xena episode did. Either way it's a great storyline for a TV show to put their own spin on.
