Art block is common in many artists. It’s understandable if you want to take a break. To any artist out there reading this, don’t be upset if burnout occurs, it’s just your mind telling you that you need to take a break!

I have a channel myself where I do drawings and stuff, and I had this one art block that went on for months. Now that I saw this, I realized that it was a pretty normal thing for artists. The drawing of yours is amazing!✨❤️

A few weeks ago I had terrible art block. I wanted to draw desperately, but to me everything I drew sucked or wasn’t right. So, I pulled out my sketchbook and decided to try and draw something I never usually draw, in a style I’ve only ever used for school. So I started drawing a bunch of random animals, as quickly and realistically as I could, drawing anything that came to mind. And to some extent, it worked. I was able to draw people more easily once again, which transitioned me back into making stuff I actually like

Art is one of my favorite things to do and so it takes up lots of my time, so when I finally get art block I take advantage of it and use the free time to spend on creative writing, as writing poems and stories is also something I’m extremely passionate about!

Look at nature Look at the stars/moon Turn food into animals Draw mythical animals perhaps based off real ones Draw drinks, and make them pretty!! Draw emojis Draw characters from fandoms you’ve read Draw something in your style Draw yourself Try a new style Make a new fruit! Draw your room or house Draw flowers! Draw trees Practice drawings something you can’t Calligraph words and decorate them!

When art block hits me, I just do.. nothing. I do absolutely nothing. I can't even doodle. I'm just blank. But that's okay. It's not a bad thing to step away from it. Art is supposed to be fun! And I know that once the art block is over, I'll just hyperfixate and get lost in drawing so much that I'll have a bunch of drawings in no time❤

What’s helped me in the past with art block is changing mediums, studying/referencing an art book that sparks my interest (like a how to draw manga book), playing drawing games, and using a barebones digital drawing program (like mspaint).
I’ve been playing a lot of Roblox drawing games, oddly enough it’s helped immensely with my art block. I love the spray paint games, but there’s a lot of trolls so I’d stick to a private server.
usually when i have an artblock i try to redraw my older drawnings. As many as i can. Or i try out new styles. Or sometimes i just take a break, go out. And then im back and try a different technique. All till i get my motovation back. And i do lots of random doodles/sketches
It’s also important to remember, art block can be for any art form. It doesn’t have to be just drawing. Looking at your art and making it consistently can get exhausting so breaks are sometimes necessary. Same with writer’s block. It can get so exhausting writing a story. Especially when you know how the plot is going to be but you just need to focus on the fine details. Any block is natural ❤️

I've been stuck in a major art block for a couple months now and it sucks so much, I'm waiting for that inspiration and drive to come back! Love your art, it's good to see you back!

When I have art block, something that helps me (wont work for everyone) I draw eyes, it’s just something easy for me to draw without much thought or effort, I also switch between digital and traditional art, because for me they’re different enough to sort of overcome Art block, but if I have bad burnout where I just can’t draw for weeks, I usually just take a break, or work on very small projects with different mediums to try to get my motivation back, that’s just what works for me, hope this helps 😊
I just got out of art block and I usually just try to find anything to latch on to and hope it sticks so I mostly draw fan art and it’s never failed me yet
i'm just glad you're okay!!! you're one of my favorite artists and i was worried something bad happened. take the time to rest and come back when you feel ready :D you're doing great, always. remember that you don't owe your followers anything and take care of yourself
My fav thing to do on artblock is fill out those “my ship/character in 5 minutes”. It makes me feel like i drew something and i also see the ship/character more clearly, and its also fun :)
I pretty much do the same thing, except I do it way slower. I take a lot of time on whatever I'm drawing, and when I get art block, I don't draw for a long while and find something else to do until I feel okay with drawing again. I usually have to push myself to draw because I sometimes just get really out of it. It's good that you know how you are when it comes to drawing and art block, love your videos.

Whenever I have an art block I just start writing. Doesn’t matter if you have an artblock or not, just write. Just make sure your hand is comfortable moving etc. Doing this has saved me from ALMOST ALL my artblocks, it might not work, but mostly it works
Hey Lela! You draw a lot of tv characters, so I’ve got a show rec! The 2018 She-Ra is in the same boat as The Owl House, Amphibia, Gravity Falls and shows like that. I highly recommend! Also the rebooted Voltron is a really good one. Also the same kind of stuff as TOH, Amphibia and GF. Just as a red for something you could do when you come back😊 Take all the time you need ❤
Burnout hits hard sometimes. One thing I do is look for something to just keep me occupied till I’m ready to start drawing again, for me it’s my knitting which helps me out a lot. I’m so glad to see you’re okay though because I worried for a bit something happened.

Idk, I guess it just feels like less pressure bc it’s not a big art piece, and it’s not something too original? Anyway, it works for me! I love your art ❤
Yep art block (& burnout) the nemesis of artists everywhere and every level 💢 I totally get when you get in the groove to draw and can’t or don’t want to stop even if your supposed to pAcE yourself sometimes you gotta ride that wave as long as you can because you don’t know when the next one is coming (didn’t mean to make this ocean related like for mermay 😆). Good luck recovering from art block! I find the best thing is to do stuff you love like writing, enjoying shows, walks in nature or hanging out with friends truly just have to fall in love with art all over again. I hope you (or anyone who reads this) has a wonderful day/night and week!

I love your art..despite me using a different style and colors and supplies it makes me happy seeing you do you own thing.
