Different terrains need different recovery vehicles. This build looks great for Wyatt's area, but it would never work well in a place like Moab. Conversely, Rory's Trail Mater is awesome in Moab, but probably wouldn't even get to the job where Wyatt lives. And Matt's big wrecker is suited to working around Sand Hollow. Off-road recovery is not a competition, and a job that requires specialized tools, suited for the area where they're being used.
I have many years in oilfield moving drilling rigs and building winch trucks anyway... its an awesome setup but it will bend if you get it to bite . It has so much leverage to each outside and the smaller tubing at the bottom. Maybe a stiff arm at the bottom bac to the rear of the truck for hard pulls.. just an idea. Love the inventive idea 👍
You should make it so I have an optional attachment where if you're in dirt it has spikes if you're on concrete it has something like some sort of pads
Nice looking rig. In what part of the country so you operate and what kind of towing do you normally do? Looks like it would be great in snow or soft areas but rock crawling would not be a forte of course.
Why not make Spade Blocks that you can slide onto the bar and then make it were you have two sets of hole slides for the side pull that way you will just turn the block and then turn it down for the back pull and then slide it back on and then repin it and then not be a permanent position that could possibly be a little problem but it's still a very good wrecker....
Isure is a serious piece of equipment. Not going to dominate on the rock of Utah Arizona wherever the hell moab is but... Horses for course's. Each to thier own. Otherwise a bold experiment?
This needs to go to the off road games!
How about it? @MattsOffroadRecovery
This a great build for where it will be used but would not work in soft sand or up steep narrow rock trails in Utah.
That's not crawling rocks in Utah 😂
It sure was last year@@sixpest
@MattsOffroadRecovery get this man to the off-road games
Really looks like the best off road wrecker. To me looks the most practical rig for off road without all the hype of tall tires.

Now, I want one!
There goes my savings...
Aa a man, I'm always looking for new toy ideas.
Now that's a REAL off road wrecker. Not some toy with rubber tires.
You made comments about the cutting edge, why couldn't you make a bigger one that you can slip on and off? Awesome machine!!!!!
The off road wrecker men out Utah way can now see what they need to be respectable players - nice machine(s)
Pretty darn cool machine. 😮
That is a well-rounded unit

That spade is awesome.
Maybe add a set of mess shields to catch any breaking cables or pull points ?
Nice! Ford on a prinoth chassis..😊
That’s impressive. I’d really have to dig to imagine how I’d break it.
Kudos to your design and build
The spade needs to be a little more aggressive like a factory Century etc... nice concept. Needs a front and a bull winch on the back to.

Wow. Awesome rig….. 🎉🎉🎉
Badass work
Good competition for hell boy!!

I can help you get the military truck stuck so you can test it out more
