As a retired mechanic for our local electric and gas utility I have memories (not fond) of working on our Go/Flex Tracks. The worst one was having to replace a track on one out in the field.
DAM KILLER RIG 👍👍👍 I Watch all u guys towing Yours Definitely 1st massive truck on tracks I live in AZ and NONE of the guys on western usa have Such A Truck As U Nice Build 👍👍👍👍👍

Just came across your channel. That's one outstanding looking piece of equipment. You have a high degree of knowledge and skill to pull that off. Very clever way you got the steering wheel to replace the steering leavers. Too bad it was too dark to make out how you connected it to the brake actuators at the back. If the tires end up being too soft and foaming still isn't enough I'm one of the operators of a New Holland tractor modified, by Gilbert, to groom snowmobile trails. The tracks are on a skid frame and what they used for idler wheels was 10 ply Galaxy Yardmaster fork lift tires. They seem pretty tough. Downside is they're tube type and are mounted on split rim type wheels. Don’t know if that is necessary.
This thing is off it's head. I would solid fill them tires buddy for sure. Make that thing a rock when comes to branches sticks going in side walls . Solid filling em will no k that out of the equation all together mate. . Myself I would have painted them cross bars going from one side track to other inner . Rust kill that shit and powder coated everything underneath hammer tone powder coated black . What a wrecker mate. Light it up full on l.e.d all over her warning lights . Business will be wanting you to pull them. . Make sure u can still operate this thing legally on the roads. What a beast
Wow, beast of a machine, looks great. Guessing this is meant just for soft conditions, snow, mud, etc.? Also, not much to keep it from sliding sideways. I'd certainly put side plates on the cross bars, both top and bottom, to keep the tracks on, and for better bite. Thanks.
It Lives! It is a Monster🧌!! It looks factory built! You are selling it ????!!! It has so much work to do! ⛓️🪝A "One of A Kind" wrecker. Great build👨🔧👨🏭👌
I know, but I actually like the original color better personally. Never been big fan of red, plus that is the hardest color to see at dusk, and dawn, any of the low light conditions. Reminds me of something I've seen before looking at the shape of the hood and the cheeks of the front end.. Can't say fenders any longer being shaved off, and what is the correct term for thst I suppose. The roof line down to the hood sticking out there floating in mid air looks like the original Snoopy when he's got his serious face on fighting the Red Baton in the dog fight.. There's you a name, because I just pulled that from 50 plus years of dusty crowded memory files that definitely need defrauding to sort and complie the data spreed although out my tattered and damaged gray matter. Looks good Wyatt, and it'll look even better finished with all the lights on in the middle of a moonless night reflecting off the snow and stainless trim. Best of all though, is it'll work better, and it'll definitely up your hours labor come freezing whether , and I believe that you'll find it adds to the wet season labor too my young friend. But it'll always be a ever evolving piece of equipment thst you'll always think of the many little additions to improve abs fine tune the different task you're going to be doing far into the future. Is there a set tention for the tracks, because they sure look way too tight to ne.. Based on how sreel tracked equipment has a little droop across the top of the boogey wheels. Sure seems like that's stressing the track system to me, and this would cause your road tires to be crushed too by not only the weight of the vehicle but the pressure applied by the tracks trying to crush the tires themselves. Also stress the pins and the track links where they lock together.. Even more so when turning causing those to wear and fail prematurely due to this, this is also going to cause the tread to wear excessively wouldn't it. No expert of ant kind, but it just looks like the Logical from the looks and sounds of the joints being stressed by how tightly they make a binding sound to me. I realize they Will stretch as they break in from use. How hard is the under carriage to get if you should have future opportunities, is it something easily located, are is it a daily shrinking limited supply at best.
If you want those timken seals I got a guy down here in Florida that deals with I understand about them being better seals I try and get those and the bearings all the time
I just got here, but am curious with what powers it? Have you heard of Edison Motors? They are building hybrids, using e/v drive using a diesel for the generator to charge batteries. Might be a cool conversion for both you and them.
Can they license that for the road in their state?? Would be great for on the e-way in snow emergencies. Hell just go down in the ditch hook up and be gone to the next one. You should be very very happy with that…..What are looking for price wise??
Nice rig you built there, when you were driving and talking at the beginning of the video ,i thought you were in Northern Manitoba from the towns you mentioned where we have Swan River and Grand Rapids within the same area near each other ,LOL , I've helped some buddies build by trucks, not this fancy or beastly it'll sell easy at the Wisconsin tow show, somebody will have that wod of cash in their pocket to throw your way 👍
You mean the government bought and paid for by huge multi nationals? The ones who sold the American middle class out and ensured we haven seen a raise since the 1970's? Those traitors? Yea, they don't care about us.
Wow, what a fantastic machine! Makes Matt's Off Road Recovery's Bombarier beast look like a toy!
That machine is indeed absolutely insane. Just badass !!!!! Great work Wyatt. Keep it up man.

Wicked! Now let's go play. Very nice young man, very nice
Awesome job on it. The end result is impressive.
TGP
You can make a tool out of channel iron that hooks to two crossbars and uses a chain binder to pull the tracks together
Awesome build!
That’s a stunner!
Bravo 🎉

yes they need to be on splits, you won't get the beads on a conventional rim, they are too stiff.
You do amazing work. Great Job! Even if it kicked your ASS!
Very cool. Now you need to prove its worth by entering in the Off Road Wrecker Games.
I think very cold. No doors winter driving for the cold at heart
Ready to see it putting in work
Shes ahh looking great , Awsome build brotha !
Pretty cool looking machine.Looks like muskeg tracks.Wonder how it will be.
Nodwell and Bombardier have been building these rigs for years. Looks like a Bomb Muskeg suspension.
Great job!👏

From the looks of the hydraulic chock block...nodwell never did figure out what "brakes.." were...but in muskeg and swamp they certainly do go places.

Fancy ride.
Very nice work. Going to have to charge high for the few times it will be needed. Maybe it will go to Alaska.

Looks like Matt’s bombi and Robbie’s king Fred had a big baby very nice setup
This is ten times better engineered than the bombi! He makes Matt look like an amateur 🙂
Wiskers is the snocat, King Fred is the dualy towtruck.
@@sjv6598 Matt should stick to 4x4s, those he's good at. He made some fundamental engineering errors on Bombie, errors he should never have made.

Pretty sweet! It’s a beast. What are you going to replace it with?
You better try it out on the Rubicon trail before you claim that title.
Life since the government started pushing " build in Mexico, then China", quality parts are hard to find if not impossible.
Don’t you mean? when big business moved to Mexico and China so their profit line would increase, quality parts are hard to find if not impossible.
Why would our government do that?
@@joewoodchuck3824 you are right WHY DOES THE GOVERNMENT DO THAT?
@@SPUDHOME You would think the government would care about U.S. manufacturing in general, as well as more tax revenue.

Pretty cool.
Why did you not do them both at the same time it would have made a lot less work

How do you transport this to the recovery site?
Looks awesome but i have a feeling that trailering it to every job will get old fast.
