Wanted Chicken Alfredo for dinner tonight and didn’t want to use can Alfredo so decided to come to RUclips and search up a Alfredo recipe. Yours was the first one I came across so, I went to it. It came out amazing!! Thank you for the recipe!
Me too! Man I went to two stores yesterday and they were all out of Berrolli and Ragu. So now I’m here because I remember ppl saying that once you make it from scratch, you won’t go back! Let’s see y’all. Got the penne pasta and chicken breast done. Now finna do this sauce. I’ll edit with an update on how my family enjoyed. I’m nervous lol! Be right back!
Today was my first time ever making the sauce, & thanks to your video it came out so delicious!! Thank you! I told my husband to try it and he was so shocked that I made it! THE TASTE IS AMAZING!!!
This is how I've always made my alfredo. It's a delicious recipe and insanely simple to make. You get straight to the point and your instructions are clear, informative, and filmed nicely in every video you've uploaded. Great channel! Subbed!
Bro literally just followed your recipe making sauce for the first time. Just made a fathers day dinner and everyone is in love. IN LOVE!!!! (I added bacon and mushrooms)😋🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I have made alfredo spagetti about 2 years ago and it really creamy and delicious. Most delicious spagetti than I have usually made. Since then, for this 2 years I have always make alfredo spagetti. 👍😋
That looks great!!!! I'll try this recipe with the Italian seasoning. Never thought to add that. You may want to mention that freshly grafted parmesan should be used when making alfredo sauce, certainly not the can stuff and also not the pre-grated cheese. Pre-grated cheese contains preservatives like potato starch and natamycin, meant to keep the shreds from clumping together in the bag. That also means they don't melt together as well when cooking. I learned that the hard way. 😁
please do try it. hope you like it. you are 100% right with using fresh. they do add alot of stuff to the pre grated parm. but if u can't get the good stuff make sure u use a high quality grated parm cuz they put less of the filler in it. always read the package.
Thank you for this easy simple and tasty recipe. I wanted to make some Alfredo sauce I purchased a few items to make it came across your video and boom - made it.!!! I saw others using egg and all sorts of added stuff - your recipe was simple and to the point and tasty - wish I can send you a pic🤣🤣. Thanks 👍🏾still relevant in 12/2020👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Awesome. So glad everyone liked it. I have never used that butter. But I will next time if I can find it. Always use a good quality butter in everything you cook. It makes a difference
2 cups Parmesan cheese? Too much. I love the homemade sauce.. it’s quick and sooo good. I make it all the time and I use the fettuccine nests so I can just make single servings for myself with enough leftover for a snack later
Then why are you watching a video about making homemade Alfredo sauce if you'd just rather be lazy and buy the store brand . . . Seems like a waste of 3 minutes of your life ;)
Great question. Each stove is different on how hot each number is. But no matter what u want to bring the heat up slow and keep it on the lower side if not then you will scalled the cream so I would say try number 2 and take it from there
Is there an alternative cheese to use in case you can't get the parm? Also what is in Italian seasoning? I've never heard of it (I'm from the UK) looks delicious either way, a fantastic demonstration 😊
You can use any cheese but a classic alfredo is always made with parmesan cheese. So changing the cheese will change the dish completely. Italian seasoning is a blend of different herbs like parsley, basil, thyme, oregano
@@HomeHeadChef Thank you that helps! I have a container of mixed herbs that has all of those, so that's good to know! I think I'll just try it with the parmesan then if that's the case, but it's good to know you could switch it up if you wanted to. 😊
The last time I made the sauce it curred because of too much heat but now it’s taking forever to cook cuz I just left it on low and i doing something wrong and the sauce is still watery haven’t thicken at all
Can you help me to figure out why when I make mine , it crumbles? :( But still taste deliciously :) Next time I will definitely follow your steps in slow motion 😀😁 Thank you for your kindness of sharing your yummy recipes.
@susanscanlonlouth7172 very good question. Yes it is. I used a fine hand grader. You can use any kinda of parm you have one hand. The green tube is not the best choice. It has an anti caking agent so it does not break down well.
Great question. If you add more of anything it will thin it out. So I would go with heavy cream because its thicker and then add more parm to bring it back to the thickness your looking for
You can use both. I find that the grated melts better then the shaved but the shaved has a better taste but does not melt as well and might turn out a little gritty if not added right.
@@HomeHeadChef Thanks, I used Roux. It turned out great. Unfortunately I burned my White Pizza so I couldn't enjoy it. Going to make another one tomorrow as I still have some sauce left. 👍
I always cook my chicken separate because I like grilled chicken with my Alfredo. i like to do my separately that way the ones I'm feeding can control how much pasta , sauce, and chicken they would like.
Great question. You can but it is not the same. Milk has less fat then heavy cream so it won't be as creamy as if you used heavy cream. Milk is also thinner then heavy cream so you would need to add more parm cheese. Like alot more.
You sure can. It's not a bechamel but it could still work. A good bechamel recipe would be 2 tablespoon butter 2 tablespoon flour 1 1/4 cups flour Salt and pepper to taste. I will be making a video on the 5 basic sauces. I have kids as well and with kids being picky eaters I'm sure they will love this sauce on some lasagna
No I can not milk does not have the same fat content as heavy cream so u will need to add alot more parm to make it thick and with the amount of parm u would need the sauce will not turn out
It all depends on how much sauce you like on your pasta. I have a family of 4 and this amount makes enough for use to all have a big plate full of noodles covered with sauce
You sure can. But it's going to take longer for it to cook the flavor out and you will be left with big cloves of garlic in the sauce. That you might eat or you will have to find in the sauce before serving
@@Mai-rr4cr thank you. alot of people dont know that im an actual chef out side of youtube. haha. if you have any recipe you would like for me to do please let me know and ill get to making a video of them.
Fantastic question. This happens when the temperature changes to fast it causes the cheese and butter and cream to separate. You can fix that by slowing reheating it and adding in more cream. You could always add a roux to the sauce when making it and this will also help from it separating.
I'm sorry to hear that. Are you adding the parm to fast. Start by adding a small amount at a time till it breaks down. If that does not work. Try adding more cream.

My clumbs together, it doesn't turn out liquify 😊 my family is having it for dinner right now as we speak. :)
Do you think I add too much cheese. 😁
Awesome well I'm glad you and your family enjoys it. Are you using grated or shredded?
Graded parmesan cheese, Italia brand.
Is that real parmesan cheese, it kind of looks like the kind in the green tube. ???
