After watching this video about #train maintenance, I was thoroughly impressed with the level of care and attention that goes into keeping #trains in top condition. What stood out to me was the emphasis on accountability and safety for the maintenance crew and drivers before, during, and after scheduled maintenance. This level of responsibility ensures the trains are safe and reliable for all passengers and staff. Great stuff, mate. I found the video informative and interesting. It provided insight into the inner workings of a vital mode of transportation. It showcased the importance of maintenance, demonstrating Vince's commitment to excellence and safety, which sets Alstom, West Melbourne Depot apart. This was just an observation. I'm sure all depots are the same across our great southern land, regardless of whether I am in South Australia, but I was born in Victoria. Overall, I really enjoyed this type of video. (Let's face it, I enjoy all your videos.) It is great for anyone interested in learning more about the behind-the-scenes efforts that keep our world moving forward. Thank you #Driver667 #traindriversview #vline #train
Fascinating. How the trains navigate all those points and never derail is beyond me, as are all the signals, they all looked red to me, lucky Ime not a train driver . Thanks for doing the video and the guys in the workshop 👍
This is one aspect the general public never get to see, it is really good that the maintenance staff go to such levels of expertise to insure the safety of the travelling public, great video 667......
Thank you. They are very professional in the work they do and take pride in their work. Without them we wouldn't have the system we have. Glad you enjoyed the video 👍 😀
Big fan of your channel and your videos and I’m obsessed with metro trains Melbourne but most of all Vline, my dream is to drive a Vline train one day, your such a big inspiration for me and other people. we’ll done and keep up the great work.😊
Great video, I remember the old sheds when the Overland ran on Broad Gauge, and after arrival the consist was split in half for maintenance because it was so long, up to 18 carriage consist.
i've been inside this depot during my heavy and light rail course with the rail academy. it was awesome to get a tour around the place and meet a lot of the blokes working there including Vince, he was pretty fun.
V/Line N451 City of Portland is still at Southern Cross Station on the Standard Gauge Siding and N451 is fitted with New Nathan P5 Horns on Each cab 1:35

I like how in the cabride we casually cross every V/Line terminal track, that must've been a minor headache for the signaller to plan!
It can be a headache at times for the signaller with departures and arrivals to fit through also. 🤔👍😀
Great video mate, very informative and a great behind the scenes look at the Carriage sheds

Why does the Sprinter in the video have a different sounding horn?
The sprinter, like the vlocity, has two horns. This was the low note horn used when you don't need a loud horn in a confined space. 👍😀
