@michael_maurus Elysia I think will release more products with digital recall. They'll start with channeX and test the water. Neve and SSL should follow this year I'd predict.
Paul you may have answered this question many times in various ways over many videos. do you like to mix into a mix bus chain or add the mix bus chain after you mix? If you had only Neve 542's, SSL Bus+, Wes Audio pandora, Cranborne HE and Wes Audio Hyperion, what order would you put them in on your mix bus? I been watching Colt Capperune's video on his mix bus chain and then watched Dave at Mix bus TV for his mix bus chain comparing it to Colt Capperunes mix bus chain and now I really like to get your opinion. Sorry for this question but I like to know.
@braxal6983 i actually have a video going out tomorrow/this week on this subject where I'll talk about the evolution of this studio from 3 years ago to now and the reason for the changes. Yes I mix into a mix bus. I go Carnaby, tube EQ, NG bus comp then limiter. Limiter isn't being used as a limiter though more for widening and very very subtle limiting if required. Your chain can be routed in a similar way.
You said it in such a bad way lol Basically the knobs pots and buttons pots on a analogue unit can be controlled robotically... it's not quite robotically but that is closer to the understanding. The way a knob pot works is it controls voltage signals via relays... you can control how they work digitally or by analogue pots, now that is done but a sort of robot and from that it can be controlled by a controller pot much like a control surface, the knobs on a recalled able device are no longer analogue knobs, but that does not make a difference to the sound so it's okay... now it can be controlled by midi essentially... which is why you can use the controller on the device or via a plugin... but the analogue circuitry remains the same. To understand the McDSP APB is a bit more complicated but also there not any real data alleviable to the public to stop people steeling the idea... they use relays throughout the board to be able to send the signal in whatever way they want to create a new analogue device. This one broke my head at first but once you understand how it all works you can imagine how it works. Then buttons are the same of course. There is not digital signal going into the circuitry they are only triggering relays... it's actually much like CV signal in the synth world
@TigroGumi needs to be kept simple. You go into too much detail like this into how it physically works you'll lose people. Not everyone is at this level of understanding
Got the ngTubeEQ two month ago and I love it. Digital recall is the future. Thank you Paul!
@michael_maurus 100% if I didn't think it was the future i wouldn't have turned this studio 100% digital recall. That's how much trust I have in it.
Yes, especially because you work 100% analog in your studio. It’s a revolution. Other providers like Elysia or Neve should follow suit.

@@AudioAnimalsStudio That would certainly be great. 👍🏼
@@michael.maurus I think when all the major players go down this route we'll see a lot of studio doing what we've done in this studio.
I want this EQ so bad- I’m taking your advice on the compressor
@@TannerByTheSea you'll love it. Sounds great and has every function you could want from an EQ.
@ how did you pull that off?
Who do I call?

You think this is a better explanation???
