@@dj_quest possibly, but I think the more popular theory is that Arcsnette was just talking to Throne, considering she was also standing towards the front of the group
There is a brothel girl in new delsta which when analyzed states that she may be from a fallen kingdom and that she may be a princess I think. She could have been the queen / princess of lost seed (she is in the tavern at night btw)
octopath 2 is so close to perfection, I hope octopath 3 adds switching between the lands in the first and second, and the in combat party swapping and crafting from ffx. Did you know the moonshade order spells octopath backwards? Or maybe forwards I picked Hikari for my main character in my first playthrough and it's pretty arguable he's the main character
Octopath Traveler deserves way more lore and deep dives compared to what people think. Some of the environmental storytelling and lore around lost seed is like, near Dark Souls or Hollow Knight levels.

Claude and Lostseed are very weird. It really feels like there SHOULD be more to delve into, but there just isn't. Like Lostseed is this sprawling castletown that's WAY bigger than any other settlement in the game. Of course, it's derelict and clearly not maintained as an actual colony, but STILL, you'd think it'd get mentioned some more. It doesn't even appear to be very far away from New Delsta. It's also a deserted kingdom that doesn't have ANY history. We don't know if it was built by Claude or if Claude settled there after its downfall. Unlike Lostseed itself though, I feel like the idea behind the vessels is pretty clear. They're fucked up because they know what they are, what they were created for. They may live in Lostseed because they feel like they can't live in regular society, or the gondola operator won't allow certain people to leave. Maybe they simply don't know anything else exists. New Delsta would theoretically be able to see Lostseed, but not the other way around. The pure vessel being described as "A boy who knows nothing" confirms the idea that the other vessels know more than their minds can handle for me. He's the only one who seems to be sane. Lostseed raises way too many questions at the tail end of the game tbh, like. What the fuck. That and the fact that Ori writes in her journal that Harvey 'escaped' the fight with Osvald. Like SURELY not
@emmiccino528 from what I've researched, the Ori line is a mistranslation. I usually try to go off of the English translation, since it's the thing my potential viewers are most familiar with, but this is one of the few things that makes no sense
@emmiccino528 From what I've heard, the word was something like 'dispelled', with the original meaning hinting he was evaporated after the fight, but the English translation made it sound like he 'dispelled himself from the situation.' Though it's been a minute since I did the research. It's interesting, if you want to look into it
@@GeoSage1137 I'll just take your word on the translation error, but I just played through that not even a month ago and I remember it being pretty blatantly saying "He escaped" Maybe they were going for like- Ori doesn't understand what she saw??? Or something??? For some reason???
Marietta is not one of Claudes children. Before you fight Claude, he says that 3 of his children had made it to lostseed to end him, but he killed every one of them. If Marietta was one of his children, then she wouldnt have survived lostseed, but she did, so she wasnt one of his children
@@MoonMillenniummon That it still infered. But I'm not talking about the part where he says all the orphanage born snakes, mother, father, and Throné were his children. I'm talking about the part shortly before the fight begins where he says "you are the fourth of my children to have made it this far. The other 3 died by my hand" If Marietta was one of his children, then she wouldn't have left Lostseed alive.
That's probably true, though its possible that Claude didn't kill her for some other reason. Maybe he met her in a different area first, and then later invited her to LostSeed. The problem is that all we have is Claude's word, in which he contradicts himself (either the only 3 of his children to make it to him were killed by him and Marietta wasn't his child despite being a black snake, OR All the Blacksnakes are his children, including Marietta, and the three children to make it to LostSeed were specifically there to challenge him). Appreciate your input tho! I'm still torn on which interpretation I lean towards.
@@GeoSage1137 I lean toward the Marietta being his child because it fits that dark and degrading narrative of Throné story. Why back down when you can double down?
Well, there's no proof against that since we don't know anything about Castti'a parents. But it is implied in the journals that Castti and Trousaeu visited Lostseed at the same time, which is when Trousaeu began to go insane after Claude gave him the book of night
@@LuisFlores-ik8kdAt the very least we know Ori was there at the some point with the Darkblood Staff, so it doesn’t seem like it’s just Claude’s children

Nah, I think a guy who makes so many plays on words about plants and shit would know how genetic works and also realize the weakness in doing what you suggested
