Such a battle to witness, 2 insanely talented beatboxers each having their own music style, battling it out on stage. SUCH A PERFORMANCE IS JUST *CHEF'S KISS
The fiercest battle of the entire weekend!! Even sitting at home watching the livestream, you could feel how intense each round was and how much both Colaps and Inertia wanted the win.
Inertia's a beast, but I agree with people saying that he needs to be more diverse in the battles. He's really diverse in some shout-out videos he did recently. I guess he wanted to stick to one style during GBB because he knows forsure it'll hit.
I feel like King Inertia was more variated at this point. It was good to see and he really made cool routines in this battle. For me, it was very close and I really understand that Colaps won.
I feel like inertia fell off more at the end. If he had done something that really hyped everyone I wouldn't be surprised if he had won. But anyways this is not about winning but about spreading your art and having fun, so I am just glad I got to witness this whole event!
Yo, re-watching this for the (probably) 57th time… I honestly want someone to remix King Intertia’s first round… just imagining a Hiss Remix of this gives me goosebumps. Also Colaps’s sounds are incredibly clean. He DESERVES his rank in the GBB
You can see how Colaps prepared for this moment and the battles. Everything was on point and planned as is. That's why he's the champ. Congrats Colapsito!
I know i'm late to comment on this and i'm making this comment without being a beatboxer myself. I think both of those guys are absolute legends. To be honest, i think i preferred Inertia's performance but while entirely acknowledging that Colaps's performance looked like it required a higher level of skill. I prefer Inertia's beats in a way that i would prefer to listen to his beat while driving my car, both of his beats are easier on the ears and more pleasant to listen to but i have to admit, Colaps's beats definitely appeared to be more difficult to perform.
Both of them are absolutely legends, I agree with you on that. And you’re also correct, Colaps’s routines were arguably *much* more difficult than Inertia’s. I’m an intermediate beatboxer (I’ve had a year and 4 months of experience now), and I can already do some of Inertia’s routines, while Colaps’s routines are FAR out of my reach. Inertia is indeed a crowd favorite, and I’m sure this upcoming year her going to do very very well.
Agree with both did great. But from someone who has been in the scene for 8 years.. Inertia's overall performance feels repetitive. I really think he's peaked. Colaps over the years HAS IMPROVED
Colaps win easy because of different sounding routines. Insane battle from both sides. Inertia needs to work on different sound routines. Second recond of COLAPS is simple win win here. Super complex beatboxing. Precise and dope
During the seeding round I predicted River vs Inertia in the final. Then, this was the only battle round where I was split...until I watched it a second time. Colaps brought a technical diversity that Inertia missed, and that was the difference.
4:17 I love Colaps' face when Inertia does the "counter" everyone does against colapse xD it's like come on guys I have heard this like 10 times this GBB
I feel like if anyone watches inertia's battles on their own they'd feel like he wins every battle, but when you watch his battles back and forth like the live stream for example you will start feeling that his rounds get repetitive really quick. In my opinion I liked the first round but after he drops his inward bass I'd have preferred a different melody than the one he used because he's already used it before, which made his drop sound like it's been used before, and for his second round I felt that it was really weird and I think he did that round cuz he felt like his rounds where getting repetitive and he wanted to "evolve" his bass but at least for me I didn't really like it. For colaps, I really enjoyed his rounds here, so composed and organized, and I was really impressed by the last 10 seconds of his first round that was fire asf 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and also his second round, he could've lost timing easily on that round at alot of times but he didn't it was clean asf, at the end well done to both, amazing battle, and i can't wait for the final 🔥❤️
I thought inertias second round was rly interesting, def a bit weird but pretty cool. His first was solid but obv repetitive. Colaps brought some dope techniques both rounds, and though his first round didn’t hit hard much until the end, he still deserved his win 🔥
@@Qopa idk if "only good at inward bass" really applies to him, I think personally that he just uses it cuz it compliments his style EDIT: I mean, imo, he wouldn't have even gotten this far into the comp if he is "only good at inward bass"
Tbh Inertia wasn't repetitive coz he brought a lot of new things in this battle. But Colaps had godly rounds fr - way cleaner, better structure (imo), much better timing and more effective shock moments
Not being a beat boxer and new to the current level of beat box i was blown away!! Hands down Colaps was more technical and clean but i would go KI every time. You can dance to it, listen to it in your car it just seemed more fluid and something i would buy to listen to with out it being a competition. KI is a straight punch to the face. It gives the normal listener goosebumps and sends them scrambling to find a place to listen or purchase anything to do with him. I have mad respect for all of these artists i had no idea it had become so good. So i thank them all. I know its a competition judged by the best beat boxers, but KI can cross over. So its not only a competition platform but something people would buy and venues would book. Only my 2 cents and am really humbled by the whole thing. I am a fan and was just really hopeful KI would take it. I might already be bias lol. KI 2022!!

I believe it would be cool if King Inertia showed some singing in his routine...well we had seen it in his elims that he can sing very well tbh i would dig it
it would be cool if he could do ANYTHING else than what he always do. its like listening to a broken cd player that repeats the same song over and over and oooover again.
Bro colaps really improved through the years, his speed is immaculate, and the flow changes are smooth, his coordination and focus is incredible
Colaps just Proves that If you focus on improving your basics its just sounds better than Vocal Bases
Basics > Inward Bass
Second round was perfectly selected. "Precision" is what inertia misses compared to colaps, perfect battle strategy!
Yeah, Colaps like D-Low, choosing the best strategy smartest way possible
Precision on what? It was just speed sounds, that's it
@@Darkblazaer Speed techniques with maximum precision bro

KI’s first round is MASSively great. I can really feel the concrete self and soul get pulled towards it!
Its really impressive that colaps had 2 inward bass monsters in his way but he still won without mastering the inward bass he is Amazing!!!
Cuz i ertia failed at 4:32 he didnt hit his high inward

@@Moesie yeah that is a big mistake

The fiercest battle of the entire weekend!! Even sitting at home watching the livestream, you could feel how intense each round was and how much both Colaps and Inertia wanted the win.

YES
colaps destroyed him
Yooh this is very iconic..the best of all battles...can't choose..
2:35 HOW IS THIS DROP NOT IN THE TOP 10!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Inertia's a beast, but I agree with people saying that he needs to be more diverse in the battles. He's really diverse in some shout-out videos he did recently. I guess he wanted to stick to one style during GBB because he knows forsure it'll hit.
I feel like King Inertia was more variated at this point. It was good to see and he really made cool routines in this battle. For me, it was very close and I really understand that Colaps won.
yeah, that 2nd round stood out
I feel like inertia fell off more at the end. If he had done something that really hyped everyone I wouldn't be surprised if he had won. But anyways this is not about winning but about spreading your art and having fun, so I am just glad I got to witness this whole event!
@@bamg7678 Yeah it missed tech patterns, there's always room to improve. As colaps showed.

Yo, re-watching this for the (probably) 57th time… I honestly want someone to remix King Intertia’s first round… just imagining a Hiss Remix of this gives me goosebumps. Also Colaps’s sounds are incredibly clean. He DESERVES his rank in the GBB

Awe man but colaps drums were so on pointt. I love colaps 2nd round it just makes him get the knockout for me. Fast and clean af.
@@ruvimperna5532 he's non beatboxer , he'll probably choose musicality over technicality
Merci
Precision
Facts!
Wrong
In this battle Colaps sounded like a parrot choking on food
During the seeding round I predicted River vs Inertia in the final. Then, this was the only battle round where I was split...until I watched it a second time. Colaps brought a technical diversity that Inertia missed, and that was the difference.
I expected the top 4 to be Colaps, King Inertia, NaPoM, and B-Art
This is precision
I’m expecting Colaps, River, Zekka/Helium, Inertia getting into semi
4:17 I love Colaps' face when Inertia does the "counter" everyone does against colapse xD it's like come on guys I have heard this like 10 times this GBB

Easily one of the closest battles this year,
Inertia dropped the repetitivity when battling colaps and brought some new stuff,
Crazy
Big up to colaps for smashing these battle and also big up to King Inertia for doing so good in his first performance in big stage
Every sound colaps make is so sharp
I feel like if anyone watches inertia's battles on their own they'd feel like he wins every battle, but when you watch his battles back and forth like the live stream for example you will start feeling that his rounds get repetitive really quick.
In my opinion I liked the first round but after he drops his inward bass I'd have preferred a different melody than the one he used because he's already used it before, which made his drop sound like it's been used before, and for his second round I felt that it was really weird and I think he did that round cuz he felt like his rounds where getting repetitive and he wanted to "evolve" his bass but at least for me I didn't really like it.
For colaps, I really enjoyed his rounds here, so composed and organized, and I was really impressed by the last 10 seconds of his first round that was fire asf 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and also his second round, he could've lost timing easily on that round at alot of times but he didn't it was clean asf, at the end well done to both, amazing battle, and i can't wait for the final 🔥❤️
kinda repetitive drops yeah but different beats tho, his style still has so much to improve but it's so impressively clean and sounds so freaking good
I thought inertias second round was rly interesting, def a bit weird but pretty cool. His first was solid but obv repetitive. Colaps brought some dope techniques both rounds, and though his first round didn’t hit hard much until the end, he still deserved his win 🔥
no sh!t
It was already pretty repetitive in the quarterfinal. It sucks but he's only good at inward bass, clearly.
@@Qopa idk if "only good at inward bass" really applies to him, I think personally that he just uses it cuz it compliments his style
EDIT: I mean, imo, he wouldn't have even gotten this far into the comp if he is "only good at inward bass"
I cant wait for Inertia Compilation bro, Full Bass in my house haha
Battle was incredible🔥🔥🔥🔥
9:06 Dlow just said Rogue Wave for the finals
Tbh Inertia wasn't repetitive coz he brought a lot of new things in this battle. But Colaps had godly rounds fr - way cleaner, better structure (imo), much better timing and more effective shock moments
Yeah, inertia in the last round just spammed weird sounds
Nah, inertia was repetitive, he already brought those sounds before and he still using them without switching it up
He went all inward bass until his 2nd round, which was kind all the sounds he could do other than inward bass
new things - you black, you choose who first?)))
the thing that he missed is composition, that is so sad :(
COLAPS NEVER GETS IT EASY!! HE ALWAYS GOT TO FACE MONSTERS BUT THIS TIME HE IS THE ONE!!
DEFEATED VOCODAH, ZEKKA, INERTIA AND RIVER. DEEP THAT.
KI 2022!!
