Ref hasn't gone mad, he is dealing with a bunch kids that don't understand respect
especially adults in those coaches SMH
cultural diversity.....!
Respect goes two ways. He was such a bolshy cunt he has earned zero respect in that. Just wanted to be the man of the match himself. Then to show a red card to a coach who wanted to stand in his technical area rather sit down and then send off a goalkeeper for trying to calm everyone down. This is the sort of ref that deserves a good kicking so that he never tries to come back. He is bad for the game. Could've been sorted so calmly without him
Not really they’re on public land that referee has no rights to tell anyone to go anywhere whatsoever criminal justice act 1972 !
@pcarts232 what are you on about? When you play football you do so knowing that someone has to ref the game, if they shut the fuck up like rugby do and just do what the ref says then the game carries on but all footballers do is bitch and moan to the ref, then run up on him 8 man strong when a decision goes against them
He was just like.. I don’t need the yellow card anymore, Red is enough
Well red is what they deserved
To him, the yellow card is racist.
Hahaha
The audio does not show the verbal abuse that the ref is subject too.
A ref will not send someone off or to the stand for no reason.
🤣🤣🤣
Ref has balls. Those fans/players of the red team swearing were crazy. I'm actually surprised it didn't escalate further.
Don't know about Australia's fans and team staff, but in England such swearing is like having a breakfast tea with grandma. Probably, in England this ref should run for his life at the end after fans breaking onto the pitch. But still, such behaviour was sick.
Sounded like a herd of Vikings 😲
He was right aside from the “stay inside of the box” stuff, he seemed be way to looking into. Also nothing entitled him to force someone to sit on the bench as long as they are in the zone.
@@martindg93 technical area is defined as a "designated sitting area for team officials, substitutes and substituted players", ie. They must be sitting, except for one coach who may stand to convey tactical instructions.
@@brandonl4914technically 2 coaches can stand up and players are permitted to stand up IF they are warming up. But if there is 3 standing up in such lower divisions there is no reason for all the red cards. (Coming from both a player and a ref)

As a soccer ref myself, this ref isnt "MAD" at all. He is doing exactly what needs to be done. The more referees actually enforce the laws of the game, the sooner we will stop having so much dissent from parents, coaches and players. Great job, ref! Great job!
what about the red to the goalie?
Football
Nonsense. It's all about him. Modern day narcissist.
@@user-mr6xp6nk7q And this is why we have such a MAJOR issue with parents and fans believing that they can act the way they wanna act. Most refs are now afraid to actually enforce the game because they are accused of being a narcissist and making the game about them. However, the parents and fans, and in this case the players and coaches, are literally inserting themselves into the game where they shouldn't even be a variable in the equation. But sure, what you said. Psh.
@liamsummers1619 it's called football dunce cap
Well done to that ref. Great to see them standing up to an abusive side that has ni respect.
How was the goalkeeper abusive? He literally talked to his team and got a red for it like wtf?
@@tripanzo And how would you know what he said? Surely the camera hasn't picked up everything. I'd bet, with how the rest of that team and staff acts, that he was a bellend as well. Pathetic behavior from the so called "adults".
@@elfmatw He called the teamates behaviour for embarssing and that they should stop arguing with the ref and then the ref blows and think the goalkeeper was talking to the ref. Not only that, but I also think that most of the warnings should have been yellow and not red. Obviously not good refreeing that let his emotions get the better of him.

what has the ref done to deserve respect
@@mememanfresh Exactly.
Every single one of those players is an utter clown. Love seeing them treated as such. Well done, ref 👏
Even the keeper? That’s harsh.
I told my players if they got a yellow card for dissent they were done for the day. All you have to do is keep your mouth shut. You have complete control over that outcome.
This is why refs suck
Referee has not gone mad. The players are being smart and they're commenting with disrespect and insulting the referee. He did exactly what he needed to do stay come and discipline those knucklehead players. He did a great job 100%👍👏
Respect to this ref. Description says final 5 minutes, and if they are reacting like that to an obvious foul you know the ref was getting abused the entire game. He looked so sick of it
Ref made it worse.
@@PBMS123 No the fucking guys on the sideline made it worse. The ref is not in the wrong.
What are you going on about? The GK came over to tell them to go and calm down and the ref gave him a red card. Idiotic comment
@@PBMS123 He sure did.
If that's the case, the match never should've went this far. The referee should not have to wait until six players remain to call a match like this.
The red for the keeper is an unfortunate misunderstanding. He was telling his own players they were embarrasing, not the ref. But other than that, I don't see an overzealous ref. I see a football club behaving like petulant children, and a ref enforcing the laws of the game re dissent. Game needs more of this! Guarantee the team in red carry on like that every week and have walked over less confident refs.
Yeah, I was pretty much on his side until he misunderstood that one. Then it kinda made me question what I thought about the previous ones.
And it’s not just how the red players were acting, but also their coaches who made no attempt to control them. This deserved to be a 1-0 forfeit for the yellow team over the red team. In 20 years (~3k matches) as a youth referee I never had to forfeit a match, as I was able to control the players & coaches enough to avoid such a situation.
@@thumper300zx I am still on his side, I was a ref too and i was in the situation of the keeper to. I said nothing to him and only tried to silence a teammate, but from his perspective in a heating situation, such mistakes can happen. Missed two games. @@BK-qp4uqHe can take a moment to think and reverse a call as long as play hasn't restarted.
@@thumper300zx Thats true, but you have to remind the psychology. In my opinion its not his fault. The situation was stressful. The Keeper is the innocent victim of his teammates behavior.
Didn't seem overzealous at all. Seemed very calm and consistent.
correct call on the pitch and im glad this referee didn't put up with the offensive and abuse language from this team. Well deserved red cards
I haven't seen such an impressive show of power since Hulk lifted Andre!
Turns out Andre wasn't an immovable object.
Italian ref is a legend
the GK was telling his own team they were embarrassing. referee thought it was him.
Yes, it's an interesting point because at that moment the referee thought the keeper was talking to him because of all the bs he was already getting. This was the only call he really got wrong, other than maybe throwing a yellow or two to some players for dissent rather than a straight red. In hindsight, i'm sure the ref would agree the red on the GK was wrong and was just a misunderstanding, but in the heat of the moment it's very hard to tell. Either way the game probably could've/should've been terminated before it got to that point.
@@SpeedyStone97 To be honest, ref's decisions are questionable. As you said he could have used only yellow cards considering that the red team was not that disrespectful to him. They were waiting to go back to the game. Maybe some of them deserved yellow or even red cards, but not all of those sent off the pitch. Therefore the ref single-handedly destroyed the game with no real justification.

@@hk5322 ref was good. the players were idiots and acting like dicks . GK was correct too
Ref is acting like a Rugby ref, EXACTLY how it should be, he stood his ground fair play to him!
Except rugby players go straight off, they're more disciplined
As a former referee, I will say that, if every referee did that, at every level, we’d have a better game. And if you want an example, take a look at rugby.
As a former referee, it's tough for me to 100% agree with you. Honestly, it looks like he went too far just based on what we are able to hear and see. (Don't know what led up to all this.) The one I most question is when he brings a coach to the touchline and that coach is calmly talking to him. I find it difficult to believe there was something red card worthy there. It would have had to have been the calmest racist remark ever on a pitch. The 2nd coach ejected it appears was ordered by the referee to sit down even though the he was just was standing next to the bench. He appears to be ejected for refusing to sit.
He should have, after the 2nd card, pulled the captains together and spoken to them. Explain that there will be no more. Instead he chased upset players instead which just made it worse.
We don’t get to see any of the game leading up to this. I’m sure that first red card did not come out of nowhere. Nor did the second or the third. I stand by my statement - if all referees did not allow disrespect from players and coaches, it would be a different game. And again, just watch a rugby match - any rugby match- and note the respect given to the referees.
@@SteveDisenhof I agree we didn't see the lead up which would be very telling. How the referee handled both coaches seemed odd at best and I think is telling to his attitude in general. Again, we can't hear the audio, but that first one there was zero body language to indicate anything ejection worthy existed.
And, yes, rugby has control of the players. That's a general consensus in the sporting world.
Rugby has better rules though that's why no dissent. In football 5 people can see the same incident and draw different conclusions based on sloppy rules. In football the head of the referees association has apologised for important refereeing mistakes made after the game. I say long live dissent in football until they finally decide what a foul/handball is. 😊
So, uh, that excuses the abuse football referees receive at all levels? We can't keep young referees (or older ones) who simply decide the money isn't worth the grief.

The team was ridiculously disrespectful, violent, and throwing out racist language. Ended up getting death threats from family--called the game 5 minutes early.

Sin bins for dissent at grass roots have really helped. That is what refs wanted sorted as that's when a match gets out of control. The teams very quickly work out a refs 'tolerance level' and I've never had to bin more than one player in a match. The dissenters team mates give their own summary justice as they are down to 10 players for 10 minutes.
