The one dislike was probably someone doesn't have a soul for good, clean and wholesome classic shows like one and for great and real country music like this one you hear. Cryn' shame our current world doesn't respect the good, clean and classic times of then and realize what it can be done to fix and benefit our society of today.
Gotta love Billy Wheeler! I think of all the "one time" (or in this case two) guests on the entire Matlock series, Randy has to be my favorite. I remember the first time I saw this episode, I just about squealed when I realized he was in it.
Matlock was one of the last true and good shows that our world once upon a time had. Yes, it was law and crime show about Andy Griffith portraying himself as a lawyer but most importantly it was series that many people, myself included, could and can relate to.
Randy Travis was a force in bringing country music back to the traditional. I hate the new stuff. Randy performed a Gene Autry song here so well, like a new standard. Andy in this video, tries to keep up, but Randy is so talented. Randy's kindness, however, shines through. It's a performance I want to see again.
