Blake fit me for the 223 last summer.......now I am going to have to see him again for these models!
yeahhhh i may have to get a set of 243's and pair 'em w/ axiom shafts 😍
13 hcp here went from p790 to the 245 in a fitting this week. What an improvement. Better height more spin and daaaamn that feel. I have about a 94 swing speed with 7 iron
I haven't had a set of Mizuno irons since my True's back in the day, those 245's might be my purchase...they also come in 2-GW, which would be a great set
I played MP-33s for 18 years, and I’m not nearly as good as you. I think it’s a matter of confidence. I loved blades and hit them well.
241, I'm gonna miss the mirror chrome. As someone who plays the 221 and is going to upgrade this year, I was surprised to hear you guys suggest NOT doing a combo set. My current irons are not combo'ed (221 4-PW) but this year I was going to get my 4/5 in the 243. Is this a new recommendation this year from Mizuno, avoid blending? Mizuno seems to have been pushing the blended sets for the last few iterations. I do see what you're saying about the 243 sole being substantially different. Thanks
If u can address before he starts to hit, what Iron and loft please
What shaft were you using in the 245?
Looked like it was a KBS Tour?
Fitted for a set of 245s with px6.0 and 2* flat from Japan off my holidays last November. Absolutely pleased with them and I am coming from a set of Ping i525s and they definitely sound less hollow with more ‘punch’ from the tungsten inserts. They look sexy af too.
What the loft of the 7 iron?
@damiensharkey6603 30*. Mighty strong, but the apex, spin, and land angle are pretty much on point.
Do you get those "hot" shots from the 7i and up? Thinking of trying the 245s as I'm getting older and would want to get more distance - currently playing Miura CB302s
@salvatoresanjuan8140 I got it from the i525s once in a while. With the 245s, not as much. That said, the longer irons are still hollowed out, so you will have that distinct impact feel that might take some time to get used to.
Homie said he hits a fade, and literally drew every single shot, and quite a bit at that!
Agree but his data doesn’t show a draw so I’m blown. I-o path with an open face 100% should fade
@@KartBoyz not always true. If the path is more i-o than the club is open, you will get a push draw.
@@oscarm7619 how so and open face promotes fade I-o open is push fade
@@KartBoyz Notice their club data shows face relative to target. It's possible to have the face open to the target, but still closed relative to the club path. Relative to the path is what dictates draw/fade.
@@KartBoyz in to out path with less open face is push draw
While I realize it's difficult to base anything on HC alone, for discussion purposes only. Would you say a 11-15 HC would fit in the 245's? Excellent review, thanks.
Yes, but the best way to tell would be to get properly fitted and try other brands as well.
Going 245 off a +1 hcp. I love the blades, but the 245’s are honestly hard to hit a bad shot with. It’s legalized cheating. They feel surprisingly good coming from another Mizuno blade
Do you see any workability losses going to 245? Flighting shots down? Consistency of hitting yardages…?
@@ryanbarnett3002 Oh yeah. The 245's just do the same thing over and over. You can't flight them down as much as a blade but the consistency of these is every bit as good as you need. I haven't had any balls that just inexplicably flew 10+ yards further. Overall, I'm very happy
Great point , I placed my order for the 245 today …. Hit the demo model and was able to work it when paried with the project X 6.0 LS … absolute cheat code …. I’m a 2 hdcp
6 hdcp hit the 245 today and agree. Have mizuno blades now and all I could think about the 245 was they felt like cheating. Straight ball after straight ball.
Yeah, 245s have been so good for me. and the sound, just WAKshhh
Is the 243 similar (in category) as that of the Miura CB302?
Loft wise yes they are similar but they are not in the same forgiveness category
The 245 is a little confusing for me - is it supposed to be in the super game improvement category (I say this bec of the strong lofts) - but they also do this all the way to a 2i??
The 245 is not a super game improvement iron as it is a player’s distance club with a little less loft. They make a 2i bc they believe that the 2i is a lot like a driving iron
Want to trade in my 2020 p770's to get these!
same. you thinking 243?
@@cheonmoopark7475 not sure was leaning towards the 245's ...heard they feel soft almost like a forged iron and not hollow body
245 vs tm790 which one is better?
These irons are built to compete against each other. Come in for a fitting and find out which one is best for you.
I went from 790 to the 245 it’s an upgrade for sure. Got better height and spin
Is this much different in playability from the 223? Worth the upgrade?
No 😂
Luke Donald’s playing hollow bodied now, big vouch tbh
Can u say what #iron u hitting ?
6i
@@Truespecgolf thanks for getting back to me
I've demo ed the 245, look really great ,but to tell the world the have fully forged the face, and it is.
But it'sthe face, it's not fully forged iron and feel is not there at all.
Its crisp, and springy, but nothing like a fully forged iron
First.
Clubs look really nice. Cliche central though
guy has 100mph club speed with a 6 iron LOL
Literally nobody needs or benefits from hitting a blade…
