- The New DAOC Eden Server is set to launch December 10th! Not sure what realm or class you want to play? Hopefully this video will help you figure it out! Appreciate the info as a returning player from back in the day who has forgotten most the mechanics. It would be helpful if you reduce the amount of acronym overload because I don't remember what half the stuff means. Thanks for the vid though! I look forward to more content if you decide to keep going over the intricacies of this game :]
Welcome back to DAOC! Looking back now, I do agree with what you are saying, and will try to reduce the acronym overload on videos aimed to helping new or returning players! If you are looking for more info on mechanics, check out the RvR video! It's entertaining and covers mechanics a lot more! I really appreciate the feedback as well, thank you.
This is good info thank you. I especially liked the realm charts that show each classes role and purpose. I don't think you used too many acronyms.
Mid rules and albs and hibs drool!! Played all realms and have 8 rr12 toons but my loyalty lays in Midgard!

Nicely done, but you are relying on too many acronyms without explaining them (as Fluffy918 mentioned). Many new players (or old players who haven't played in a long time), won't know those acronyms at all :P
Great video though, nicely laid out and informative.
Yeah my thought process at the time was I'd show the char plan first which is like the DAOC dictionary, and if I was describing a class players liked they could go back to the char plan whenever they heard an acronym they did not know to teach them the concept. But based on feedback I need to ease in returning and new players a little more since the game is already a little overwhelming. On AHK and RvR videos I never got this feedback, so I guess I improved :D

Heh i remember a zerg being 200 to 300 roaming around and the lag being so horrible all you could do was /stick and tab target hope you hit something lol
What song is at the very beginning? I don’t think it’s from pathfinder, but if you could share the name they would be very helpful. Reminds me of FFT of all things
Hib is definitely the most overpowered though. Especially the casters.
Yes, Hib Casters are a literal Purge Check. Stun Debuff Nuke is burned into my mind 20 years later, because as a RR3 Paladin on Tristan, I had 30% Heat Resist plus 24% with the chant for 54%. I got debuffed by either 30% or 50% from a high RR8 Enchanter called Atabishi I still remember to this day. I got 3 NUKED and my paladin was Temped and SC'ED out for overcharge and got demolished and was like WTF! This was before TOA...... so that is really saying something. Absolutely Ridiculous lol.
Play all three, love all 3, I have loyalty in Midgard.
Why there are not the old frontiers in classic daoc. i will play it again, when this will happen any day again.
You should try eden, it is by far the best free shard so far.
The NF v OF is the core disagreement between players. Half prefer one, half prefer the other. There is no winning in this discussion. Each has its own pros and cons.

Why playing the Game on a pirate Server? Do you dont want to Support the creators of the Game?
It’s called a free shard and the developers are fully aware of it and have no problem with it. Same goes for WoW and Warhammer Online and City of Heroes. All legal
