I had a full facial reconstruction with traumatic brain injury. Equilibrium was never corrected. I lift weights but standard weights doesn't help with my balance. Could mace training help with my balance? And what would it cost for help with training?

Hey Jeremy. Yes! The steel mace will help tremendously with balance, coordination and stability due to its uneven weight distribution. It also will challenge you in all planes of motion compared to other fitness tools out there. May you continue to heal and I hope that answered your question. Take care. -Victoria

Can I ask a quick question: Is a ten pound mace ten pound overall, or a handle and a ten pound head? Thank you in advance.

That's a very common question! The mace has most of it's weight up at the top on standard maces (onnit or set for set brand) although the weight in total also counts the handle. That's why the mace feels beastly when first used.

Would you advise adding water to the custom build mace? Would the unpredictable nature of water make it unsafe?

Depends on the mace! I am personally not a fan of filling my maces with water due to rusting and that sort of thing. As it being unsafe, anything can be unsafe if you don't practice foundations. But If you got solid practice and technique I see water being as a positive! And no matter what I would recommend a good weighing scale to prevent guessing how much your mace weighs (when it comes to custom fillable maces).
