One more note I forgot to add is that when we look at the sales for Union Arena's Ichigo SR copies are STILL selling a month later where in other games such as UVS and Weiss they drop off a lot faster. Sales this "late" into a cycle means that new players are still getting into the game and finding out about Union Arena. If this trend can continue for future launches it would be a massive change from normal industry patterns.
I also really miss the ICV2 reports. Wish we had market reports in general for the western tcg market. Great video man. When UA drops Arknights, Nikke or even that Tales of Arise set I'll probably dive in
Glad you're excited about Black Clover, I didn't think the art was the best, but it's my favorite IP announced so far, so I'm very glad to hear it's coming to EN. On a side note, it consistently has the best OP/ED themes of any seasonal anime imo, great series. (PS: bring Tekken 7 to EN plz Bandai!)
@@yaboyvickk5635 ill be happy to be pleasantly surprised. Ive found that seeing actual cards (for Bleach) is much better than on the Jp website card list.
@@KozmicPlays yes! I'm curious what they will do with FMA too! It's really interesting to me that Japan has sets we arent getting but more so we are getting sets japan is not, like FMA. It's understandable, but really exciting!! I'm playing what ever deck Mustang and Hawkeye are in! XD
Now the Rest Test is The Kamen Rider Set that's releasing in JP And Asia Regions . Cause The Kamen Rider IP is not well known in The West . But also It has some really interesting Gimmicks and in a way the first Multi colour deck
JJk will be on par with Bleach, maybe a little more hype due to meta. SAO, is going to have at least 3x the demand. I run a small retailer and already have customers wanting to preorder cases of SAO. Which no sets beyond OPM are up for preorder on distro.
They do, but its not nearly as popular as some of the other growing titles referenced in the Interview. Watching the NIKKE action points go for >$10,000 has got a lot of attention from more than just Union Arena players
Sao is so over hyped. It was cool for a while when it first came out. Now it's dropped off hard. I haven't cared about sao since gun gale. Compared to other anime that have come out since such as BlueLock it's pretty mid in comparison. Maybe it's still popular but I don't care. I'm more excited for FMA than anything else. That anime is the goat.
Personally super excited for FMA as well and as I also mentioned in the video - just give us log horizon 😅 That said, knowing NA Weiss SAO sales and JP UA SAO sales, whew, that is a community that BUYS everything. I would be willing to bet good money it will still be one of the top selling UA sets for year 1
If ur new to anime games certain ips like sao, eva, and rezero put themselves everywhere. It's not a surprise when they get collab with ur favorite anime game unfortunately lol
These numbers doesn’t mean anything because it’s all bought by mostly scalpers keeping it unaffordable for casual players who makes up the majority of the player base. Keeping people away from the game does more harm than good.
Decks to build are under $50 right now and boxes can be bought off TCG Player for $65. On top of that you can find packs and starters at big box stores. Not sure at all what you mean scalpers buying all the product up 😅
When I was looking up the "big 3" the numbers seem lower than I expected which would go back to the one part I mention in the video where more sales happen at the LGS level compared to Online/TCG Player. I can only speak from my personal experience with MTG but this would also match my expectations as a lot more happens at the LGS level when I was playing heavily.

ICV2 still exists they just only do like one issue a year now. The shop I work at got the newest one a few weeks ago
@crothas I suppose I should've been more clear - I miss the quarterly and seasonal reports
@@RedZoneRogue oh yeah true, I miss them doing seasonal too.
I’m really excited for Black Clover. I might even get a case.
Heck yeah!
It's either jjk or fullmetal alchemist's for me
I'll tell you our bleach set boxes sold out before hunter x hunter boxes.

You're definitely on your own about black clover art.. it's incredible..

I know this will be shocking when you see my name, but I am VERY much looking forward to Black Clover ... also fullmetal alchemist!
Damn I thought FOR SURE you'd say SAO is the best 🤣but yeah really can't wait to see what they do with FMA !

I really hope that Black Clover is the February set
Dot hack when? (No really i need it to come back)
I am hyped for Black Clover and SAO
MTG does serialized cards. It has to be on cards people actually want though or iconic cards like The One Ring.
