    I wish I saw this sooner, I almost sent out a plain white on eBay but I quickly realized they could say "Oh I didn't get this and eBay would side with them since there was no tracking". Had to pay out of pocket for that one rip.
    Sadly though even with eBay standard envelope shipping for 60-80 cents I found it that it's pretty much what you pay for (if you do free shipping). Half the time tracking doesn't update for a few days and you never know if it could get lost in the mail.

    • @soldbyronnie
      @soldbyronnie  28 дней назад

      Yeah, it's around there. It's a flat .30 for each item and 13.25% on top of that. After shipping, you are looking at around 80% left for you usually. That's why most people when buying to flip are looking to pay ~75% of market value.

    im new to selling on tcg, im currently using sleeve, top loader and a team bag when shipping in a PWE with a non machineable stamp $1.19 for any card for the most part. but you are saying you run a normal stamp, since im new im just worried about the machine mail process and if it would damage a card. so i guess i can be saving quite a bit more if i dont use top loaders for cards from like $1~$10? any more insight would be helpful and appreciated.

    I knew you were making this video and I was thinking about it earlier today! I'm about to start selling Magic, Pokemon and One Piece (it's popping off!) and I was waiting for this very video to help me decide which platform to go with. Thank you so much Ronnie, I look forward to your future content!
    Also, your said your minimum price to sell on TCG is 30 cents? Wouldn't that end up costing you money?

    • @soldbyronnie
      @soldbyronnie  Год назад

      Awesome! Yes, One Piece is pretty wild right now. I'm hoping they don't reprint just to make the market that much crazier, haha!
      So, for the .30 card, the buyer will be charged .99 for shipping, so we are looking at roughly $1.30 - .30 for shipping -.10 for supplies -.30 for transaction fee -12% (.04) = .56 cents approximately. It's pretty rare that a buyer only buys one card and that's what I'm hoping for when people buy from me. I look at it like, is it worth bending over and picking up a quarter off the ground, because that's about how much effort it takes to package and ship a card for me now. I wouldn't want to do tons of orders like that, but it's overall worth it to have more items in my store that might bring a customer in. Great questions and I hope that helps explain my logic :)

      99% of the time I roll with buy it now. Auction usually results with items going for less than market value in my experience. If there is something I want to unload and don’t care about the price, I’ll throw it up on an auction.

    Hey Ronnie, do you charge shipping on Ebay? I just sold my first card on Ebay and I listed it for free shipping, it was the Ace Spec Awakening Drum from Temporal Forces and it sold for the $2.49 and I feel like I should maybe charge the cost of the Ebay standard envelope, just looking for some advice. Thanks man!! Great Vid!!

    • @soldbyronnie
      @soldbyronnie  7 месяцев назад

      Usually, I just go with free shipping however, I factor in the shipping cost with the purchase price. Free shipping is attractive to a buyer and saves them from having to do addition. These days, I don't list any cards that are worth less than $5 on eBay because it just isn't worth it after fees. In that case, I would try and lot them up to get over the $5 mark and list that way.

    realistically would you recommend to sell cards i dont see a huge turn over on those cards you have . and for shipping and packaging wise is it good. obviouly if you were to pull a huge card it would be worth it but what about those small cards. i am a newbie and might be intrested into starting a new hobby.

    • @soldbyronnie

      It’s definitely worth it for me. It takes time but I also really enjoy the process of taking a bunch of cards that don’t have much value and selling them to buy cards that I want. If I didn’t sell any of the lower valued cards, they would just pile up all around me and truly have no value.

      Almost never, but that's the fun cost of Pokemon. I am able to always complete my master set by opening 6 booster boxes and then buying singles using funds I earn selling on TCG Player. If you aren't collecting, it doesn't make financial sense to open a ton of product.

    I don’t understand how selling .30 cards are worth your time you would have to sell 200 an hour just to make 60 an hour. It’s not worth it man. I would just get a thousand trainer cards and sell them as a lot and move on to better things I mean you can get shirts at the thrift store for a dollar and sell for 20. Three of those in an hour 60 an hour less supplies less labels and wayyyyyyyyy less time. So every time you get to a thousand trainer cards bulk them and list as a lot. Don’t waist the time on .30 cent cards. It’s a trap

    • @soldbyronnie
      @soldbyronnie  Год назад

      It isn't worth it if you only sell one .30 card, but that usually doesn't happen. Most often, a buyer buys a .30 card and several other cards as well. Having cheaper cards in your store makes it more likely that a buyer will voyage into your store and find more to buy.
