NAOH IS NOT BASE ITS ACID ALSO
Na has more tendency to loose OH(-) Rather Than H+
When we dissolve in water it is a base it completely dissolves in water and seperates into Na+ and OH- ions
Naoh is a base anything that contains hydroxide-ion and releases it in water is considered a base. So, NaOH is classified as a base because it separates into Na+ and OH- ( hydroxide-ion) in water. These hydroxide-ions help to make the solution more basic.
