Classic rally between two legends of the sport, remember watching this one. Was rooting for Marcus at the time and knew he blew his chance to become a three time champion after his crash in Ireland. The driver who beat him wasn't too bad though ;)
This is your first video? Amazing! Except the boring soccer reference I absolutely loved it. My favourite rally was Australia 2000. It might be an idea for a video, though a lot of complicated tactics for the audience. But that made it so good. It was the penultimate round of 2000 with 5 drivers still having a chance on the title. The intriguing spice came when nobody wanted to be first on the road for the final day. So Sainz stopped in the wrong spot and got himself disqualified. Mäkinen geniusly made a jump start on purpose to get a 10sec penalty after day2 which put Burns 1st on the road. Burns in turn faked a flat tyre in a control zone, so now Grönholm was first on the road. And karma: Despite that disandvantage and effectively only being 3rd before the final day, Grönholm still won the rally - by 2.7secs - and with it (after GB) his and the Peugeot 206s first title. It was even double karma in light of later talk that specialist drivers should be banned as they take points away from the regulars. Grönholm only started that season as exactly such a specialist driver, being Peugeot’s gravel expert and sharing a car with Gilles Panizzi! The season also started pretty poor with all Peugeots retiring from Monte and Grönholm collecting 2 retirements from the first 3 rallies.
In 2000 Gronholm raced in all rounds and didn't share the car with Panizzi. He just wasn't chosen as a driver to take points in the manifacturers championship in some rallies. That's why he usually ran the official #10, but in tarmac events he had #16. Conversely, when Delecour wasn't chosen, he ran #18, and when Panizzi wasn't chosen, he ran #19. Confusing, I know.
This was great, adding to Sim's advice I would say to give your levels a bit more attention, listening in my car i have to turn the volume up to hear you clearly and then have to turn it down when you insert a clip with audio because it's so much louder
Ha never did Marcus pull a Dale and get whiplash going like 40 into the wall that sucks. Epic video man went to my first rally in Italy this year and shit was like group b I’m a total fan now subbing for sure
Nicely put together, mate. Just one piece of advice I'd give you... Figure out a way to fix the huge amount of distortion in your voice recordings. It's present multiple times in almost every sentence. Once you sort that out, it'll be even more enjoyable. You could either move your mic a bit further from your mouth or fix it in your audio or video editing software.
Sebastien Loeb could have realistically taken that '03 title but Citroen gave team orders to just bring the car home so the French outfit could secure the Constructor's title from their rivals at sister company Peugeot.

Great first video, sad to see Gronholm retire later that season, in my opinion the most slept on driver of all time.
Very well made video, it was a joy to watch

Finshes every sentence in a silly upwards or downwards tone its absolutely cronik to listen to even his newer videos its still happening.
great vid mate ;) Mcrae vs Burns rally catalunya 2000 would be a good one ;)
Amazing video! Currently binging all of your other videos. Will you make more rally content in the future?
2:52 I was wearing headphones and have lost my sanity.
Do more wrc content is never covered to this level like f1 would be great video
I'm sad to say, but Loeb is the reason I quit watching WRC. It was so predictable what was going to happen that I just couldn't be bothered anymore.
Great first video, what are you going to do for an encore??? Sent here by TMY!

I say Hello for the Algorithm™️
Great video, but maybe stop for breath occasionally 😂
Author can do some voice coaching
1:01 MUFC OK
I take it English isn't your first language. Nice video though.
I'd disagree. Apart from overpronouncing the O's and A's (Which is likely due to enthusiasm/nerves), I found nothing wrong with his English.
