Be careful Jason - The Neal vs Plato rivalry
For nearly a decade, the British Touring Car Championship was dominated by a fierce rivalry, involving Matt Neal and Jason Plato. 2 drivers who made their debut in the Super Touring era, but both having the bulk of their success, after the Super Touring era came to an end. In this video, I go through their intense rivalry, and why it is still talked about to this very day.

End of the road - My reaction to Ricciardo and Renault’s departure

So after I finished editing my Formula E 2014/15 video, news broke that Daniel Ricciardo had been released from VCARB with immediate effect, and would be replaced by Liam Lawson for the remainder of the season. Then a few days later, news then broke that Renault would be ending its engine programme at the end of 2025, with Alpine switching to a customer engine from 2026. In this video, I give m...

I’m rubbish at predictions - My reaction to Adrian Newey’s Aston Martin move

As confirmed this past Tuesday, via a live press conference, it was announced after weeks of speculation, that Adrian Newey would be joining Aston Martin from 2025, on a reported 5 year deal, worth around £30,000,000 a year. With me stating in a previous video that I thought it was highly unlikely this move would happen, I decided for this video, I would give my reaction to this news, and wheth...

One of motorsport's most entertaining rivalries, due to just how untypical it was: no nice guy vs. mean guy, no this driving style vs. that one, just two fairly unlikeable middle-aged blokes pitted against each other. Peak sports comedy

He just simply wasn't as good as the likes of Lorenzo and Stoner. He benefited from the era before spec tyres, lack of depth in competitive machinery and a lack of really talented riders in the field. Lorenzo dominated him on the same bike, Stoner won on the bike that Rossi couldn't. He can have whatever excuses he wants for the Ducati but the fact is he retirned to Yamaha and still never won the championship which Lorenzo did again

To be fair, those Ducatis were DOG SHIT, even the one Stoner won the title, but Stone was that good and could actually tame that turd. If Rossi or Stone were riding Bagnaia´s bike, i think no one else could touch the title.

BUT in my opinion, he's the best of all times for me. Why? Because he's the fastest, the most agressive, the most creative, the most fighting driver and the fearless one. He gave everything he had for his teams to win and he was literally like unleashed beast who came into F1 straight from the hell. You know how big you are when other drivers are affraid of you. That's a real Montoya in F1 and that's why so many ppl still like him to this day. He's not guilty for 80% of his inconsistency, it was just a bad luck such as crashes, engine failure, team work etc. Once he said for the press: They pay me to win, not to be behind Schumacher. This statemant speaks enough bout him for itself, bout his winning mindset, his personality and his passion for racing. This is a real Montoya - the only king who doesn't need a crown to be king.

I feel like that was a season of mediocricy. The French Quattro should have won that, but he choked. Ducati won the manufacturer title but non of their riders were truly good enough to win the drivers title. And Honda built a bike that might have won with MM, but instead it tried to kill him and all their other rides looked like they had no idea what they were doing.

In my time watching motorsports I recall the Jules accident and the Antoine Hubert one. I always make the analogy that noise is the calmest thing in motorsport, because that day at Spa (I was watching on the TV... not actually at Spa) when the Antoine Hubert accident happened, I remember three things: 1. No replays 2. That the split second the accident scene was on display before the camera switched I remember thinking "fuck that car doesn't look good" 3. Silence and the commentators without information. When the broadcast is majorly silent is a very weird feeling and to them (commentators) I imagine is even worse because they excuse themselves for not talking but they also are waiting for an official report. Silence in motorsport is awful. We live in a world in which thankfully motorsports are in their safest eras, but when things like that happen the next time you tune in it feels weird to me at least. I support AC Milan and I understand Simoncelli did as well, so one time I had an uni project with Photoshop that was to design a t-shirt and since Marco was a rossonero and the color palette of his number 58 had 3/3 colors of the color palette of AC Milan I did a little "Marco Simoncelli Forever Rossonero" spiral design as background to Simoncelli doing a wheelie framed by the oval shape of the AC Milan badge and that was my tribute for him. Never watched since I was too young in 2011, but he always seemed a good guy and everyone remembers him fondly.
