Regarding the problem with the wrong dimensions when importing the svg back into fusion 360. I found a work around in the autodesk forums, in meshmixer export it as illustrator SVG and when inserting it in fusion 360, scale xy plane by 1.333333 that gave me back the right dimensions. Here is the thread in autodesk forum: forums.autodesk.com/t5/meshmixer/unwrap-and-svg-exporting-problem-of-3d-surfaces/m-p/8445279#M586

I got what I have been searching for 1 years. I want to do the same thing and I know that it have to do with unwrap to UV axis. However, Fusion 360 have limit function about this one, so I disperate much and suffer to learn in Rhino in order to do unwrap double curvature surface. This method reduce my huge of work. Thank you.

For example : my wing chord lenght is 250mm and when i measured it after unwrap its came out smaller then 250mm ..obviusely it came out bigger than 250mm beacause when we unwrap curved surface its size is increase beacause of its curved surface..please solve this problem ..make a video on it ..please

Good technique, but like some of the others, I have some scaling issues when exporting from Meshmixer....

great tutorial! I was looking that solution for a year. I would like to ask you why the area of the flattened surface is smaller then the curved surface ?

It looks like your loft between the formers is a solid body. When I loft between formers it makes a shell. Am I doing something wrong ? What technique do you use for your loft?

Hiii..Brother ..I try your this meshmixer trick and befor save as stl i measured my shape and when i import it in meshmixer and unwrap it and then export Inkscape svg and then insert svg file in fusion 360 and then i measured that unwrap shap in fusion 360 and the mesurement is not same before i measured ..please solve this problem
For example: my wing chord length is 250mm and obviously when we flatter that above surface it definitely bigger than 250mm but in my case, its came out smaller than 250mm. i hope you understand my problem ..please make a solution video on it
