dude, youre a G...just when im wondering how the hell youre going to get welds down the inside near the runners you bust out a tig on a stick and get it done..wtf man
haha was about to write the same thing! thought the man was using somesort of magic wand untill he pulled it out and saw the torch. Next level welding skills, Love it
One thing people will NEVER realize until theyre a welder themselves (myself included). Is that clean welds like you see on IG are nice and all but not that realistic. You dont see welds as clean as on IG unless its a production piece theyve made 100 times or its in a position they do every day. Too see you fab/design that on the go and it come out that clean is crazy. HUGE props to this man he is a massive part of PFI and guys like him/Hayden are what made me finally pull the trigger (no pun intended)on learning to weld/fabricate. Love seeing this type of stuff!
Getting closer!! Sho'nuff is going to be Shawn's rolling resume of skill!! I bet a bunch of people are going to want a Shawn/PFI built race car after seeing Sho'nuff rip!
@@MrGixxer1300r YOU AGAIN? I see you everywhere lmao. Yeah it's pretty awesome to say the least. I'm usually a V8 guy but they have me ready to build a little turbo Honda because they make it look so easy
I'm a apprentice millwright and I don't do much fab but I still do. Just the way he does things, it's common sense but like I wouldn't even think about it. Like when he was welding the inside of the Mani I was like how the hell is he gonna get a torch in there. Or even designing the manifold with cardboard. Preventing it by flexing or closing the gaps with c claps after doing stich welds its little stuff
shawn damn near fabricated 100% of sho’nuff. “Made from scratch” is an understatement. Your a badass fabricator and it really shows how comprehensive PFI Speed is as a whole. You guys can literally do anything to a car, from brent tuning everything from a shopping gocart to twin turbo v8s, shawn fabricating every part of the car, & jamie with all his knowledge of motors and everything else. THE BEST SPEED SHOP ive ever seen. Keep it up
Guys the shownuff series with shawn is so awesome to watch. When he made the extension for his tig torch that was so simple yet genius. Wish i could afford a welder to do that type of stuff, cause watching these fabrication video's really get the gears spinning if you know what i mean. Keep it up guys i enjoy every video you guys put out. Much love from 209 CA guys
One of my favorite segments on the channel watching Shawn fab everything from scratch for Shonuff.. Great job Shawn keep up the great work and I cannot wait to hear this car roar.
You Sir, are a "MASTER OF YOUR CRAFT" and I truly enjoy watching you teach it to old men like my self!! Things sure have changed, from tooting around 3 battery's and a set of jumper cables and a few old W. rods that was given to us because they got wet! Or if we was lucky to be at the shop we had a torch and big box of coat hangers! But to you I say"OUT F#*K'N STANDING!!! FROM THIS OLD BIKER LOGGER AND YES VET,THANK YOU!!
I'm not even a honda guy, but I NEVER miss a PFI video, and I always thumbs up every single one before I even watch it! You guys make me want to yank out my old iron 2.5 from my e34 and put a K series in with a snail. Keep killing it fellas! Love these build videos most of all!
The best part about this whole build, is that the majority of the build is from parts and materials that were laying around. Now if you added up shawns labor hours, I wouldn't want that bill, but just shows you can do a lot with very little if you have the skill and determination. Fancy parts like ktuned and other providers are great, but a trip to the junk yard and scrap bins can be just as amazing. Great series, learning a lot of fab skills.
I've been watching PFI channel (along with BoostedBoiz) for a few months now, daily. And after watching the Sho'Nuff build, I've got to say Shawn is one of the most talented and creative fabricators I've ever seen. I've been a mechanic for about 14 years, and get excited every time I watch a video whether old or new. Good job guys! Hope to meet you guys someday, as I am a local in the north Denver area.
Love these fabrication videos Shawn is getting better and better with them every time and is teaching us loads of stuff in a simple manner. Keep up the great content guys!
I hope to one day work with a company that has the culture, knowledge, and quality of work that PFI Speed does. I currently own a mobile auto and motorcycle repair company in San Antonio, Texas but my true passion is Performance.
If you own it, just open up your range of work to include performance work. You can still stay mobile, get a Ford Transit can (I know America has big F off vans that are bigger than that) and fit some tools to allow performance work, such as a pipe bender. 👍
Super talented fabricator. I enjoy your enthusiasm on this project and the way you explain what you are doing for each stage, from Australia thanks to all of the team for a great channel.
Shawn I am loving these fabrication videos. I think its awesome to see the way you plan out how you are going to make these manifolds and then seeing them come together is awesome. Keep it up. I cant wait to see Sho' nuff when it is completed.

Awesome Shawn! Sho'nuff getting closer and closer to sniffing the sauce! Keep it up! Love watching this series, there's a lot to be learned for the way you fabricate. Love you Work... but please do you're Self that favor. Buying a god 3m speedglas fresh air welding helmet. That gasses from the alu and stainless take a hole bunch of time off in the other end off life.
learnbyfailure not so much the gasses argon is non toxic, just displaces oxygen, it’s more the particulates in the fumes, aluminum particulates jack up your nervous system, and can cause Alzheimer’s, stainless gives off chromium oxide, and nickel oxide which cause asthma and other breathing disorders, just a standard fume/ particulate respirator would sort him out if fabricating with those 2 a lot, and not cost him 2500 plus bucks

@Dave Micolichek on the first intake runner there are 2 cracks top and bottom of the runner looks like 2 black lines going in but some people wouldn't see it I spotted it cos I do welding and fabrication myself and was just trying to point out a potential weak spot that could fail with high boost pressure
@Dave Micolichek why would there be dirt inside a manifold from experience it's a heat crack in a alloy weld from contraction as it cools down it happens on times it's to do with tension in the metaligy of the aluminium it happens all the is needed is to fusion weld back over the top
