  • David Ervine began as a loyalist paramilitary but had a remarkable change of heart while in prison, and upon his release dedicated his efforts to political discourse, and acting as a political voice for the UVF. But it wasn't easy, and there would be many who wanted to take his life. This is the story of the man who championed constructive unionism.

Probably the best and most forward thinking Unionist spokesperson ever. He garnered huge respect outside the Unionist community and way beyond Northern Ireland. Shame he died so young.

Visionary & peacemaker, so many of us are so grateful for all David did to work for peace and help us to not hand down the sectarianism that we were born into.

Im a Catholic but have to say that I like this man..
I support equality and people that care for the northern Ireland people as a whole.. sinn Fein and the republican side seem to support the usual woke politicaly correct soy boy agenda.. which sadly promotes helping immigrants ahead of the Irish

He called himself a socialist, he was a shop keeper and a manager in the co op milk company, he liked the limelight a bit too much but they all do.he was only a loyalist by birth and didn't believe in loyalism.he sold the loyalists out but never fooled me for a minute.

Oh my god... I only respect those who put the people of northern FIRST.. sadly sinn Fein certainly appear to support the woke, soy boy, gender fluid immigrants... Which is definitely not appealing to the regular masses...
I wish the republican side had some common sense and decency.. is sinn Fein our only option? Wtf.. I definitely support the UVF ahead of people who value the well-being and interests of migrants ahead of the indigenous peoples.. (yes I know Protestant people are NOT NATIVE) ... But are you guys serious? The prods at least seem to have passion for northern Ireland which is common sense...
SADLY, indigenous European people are the only indigenous peoples of the world who aren't proud of their heritage
