In this video I will show you how to build a small firewood storage shed that is a perfect size for the casual fire pit person. This shed will hold a stack of firewood that is 3ft wide by 4ft tall. This is a great beginner woodworking project and does not require many tools to build. My main objectives in this DIY project is to build a firewood shed that will last many years as quickly as possible, while spending as little as possible. This project can be built in 3 hours if it is well planned. If you want to build one of these quickly, purchase the plans in my Etsy Shop and you will be on your way to building a perfect home for your firewood.

This is great! After your last video I literally thought “that’s awesome… but how do I scale it down?”
Great video!
Super helpful guide!! And I really love that you had plans available so it was easy to see what lengths go where. I’ve been trying to figure out how to convert an old pallet into a quick-and-dirty firewood shelter but wasn’t sure about how to get it together. Now I think I finally know how to get started!
I am glad to see that you left space between the side slats for air movement. So many other videos they don’t do this, and they are drastically cutting down the dry time for any wood that has not been aged yet. Great job, and you now have a new subscriber. 😁
Thank you!!
You just inspired me to build something similar for covered storage out by my wood boiler. Thanks.
Great project that, as usual, contains some excellent tips on the construction.
Well done!!
I like it! Just what I’m looking for. I’m going to make one, just a little larger.
Nice job!
great job
❤ I think they’re excellent video! I have a new subscriber! keep them coming! 🎉
Clamp wizard lol. I’ve never considered that at 6:23 🤣
I’m always working alone. Sometimes you have to get creative.
Spin your screw in reverse a couple sec or until it smokes and then screw it in forward and it won't split the wood
Thanks for the tip. Definitely going to try that.
Awesome I actually burn thru 7 cords over 8 months of winter, this year I’m replacing my wood stove with a Rocketmass heater which will only uses 1/10 of the wood. Thanks
Can you please explain pocket holes in one of your videos. I'm following this video to make a small fire wood storage :)
I think you should add another video showing how you would stain this for outdoor use. Let me know if you want me to pick the color for you.
I know a professional painter that you can hire on the cheap.
A big tip i would give is to tell us the length of your cuts and go through the installation of anything more complex like the roof frame and rafters, its very hard to tell what you are doing without knowing those things
He has plans for the shed on Etsy, but if you draw your own illustration of how you want it to look, then you'll be able to figure out the length you need. There are other RUclips videos showing how to build a roof on a firewood shed. Most of them look the same.
Excellent!
My concern is building a small firewood storage shed for use around a firepit is the sharp edges of the corrugated roof. I think I may have found a solution on Amazon. It slides over the edge of the metal and hopefully prevents any cuts from someone bending over to get the wood.
maybe some air tubing for fish tanks? split down the middle
Your plans for this are fantastic! What software did you use to design it?
Thank you. Sketchup.
Hi … thank you for the video. Can I ask if the wood was pressure treated and type of wood quality?
Yes it was pressure treated
Thanks for the video. A question: Why didn't you just use the structural screws from the beginning? Is there a reason to add the extra step?
Easier to pull posts into alignment if necessary when assembling the roof.
Can i bulld this just out of 3x3 i get them at work for free.
I’m sure you can
What was your overall cost?
About $90
Nice design. Would be nice if you just shared the material cut lengths in the video. Usually a viewer will then watch it 20 times when building as opposed to Etsy, which i dont use.
Thanks for watching. Sorry. Selling plans helps me cover the expenses of running this channel.
