- In a moment of pure Ed-inspired chaos, the lovable but dim-witted hero decides to liven up the atmosphere in the mental asylum. With his signature goofy grin, Ed makes his way to the facility's radio and switches it on, filling the air with upbeat tunes. The effect is instantaneous and hilarious as the patients, each with their own quirks and eccentricities, begin to dance in their unique ways.

"Good Burger" follows the misadventures of Ed, an enthusiastic but not-so-bright employee at the titular fast-food restaurant, and his new co-worker Dexter, who takes a summer job to pay for damages from a car accident. When the corporate giant Mundo Burger threatens to put Good Burger out of business, the unlikely duo must work together to save their workplace. Their efforts lead to the creation of Ed's secret sauce, which becomes a runaway hit. As they fend off attempts by Mundo Burger to steal the recipe, they find themselves in increasingly absurd situations, including being committed to a mental asylum. Along the way, they uncover Mundo Burger's use of illegal additives to make their burgers bigger. The film combines slapstick humor, wacky characters, and a heartwarming message about friendship and standing up for the little guy. It culminates in Ed and Dexter exposing Mundo Burger's fraud and saving Good Burger, proving that sometimes the underdogs can come out on top.

I was a mental hospital patient for a couple of weeks, and it's not as bad as this, not really, but I would have loved for Ed to come and do this. Definitely would be a highlight.
Ed is right at home with the patients, he knows how to communicate with them😂

Sure he’s a genius but cmon now kben24 I recognized him RIGHT away because of his headdress he always wore and that he’s well known. And I’ve seen this film a THOUSAND times now too. I’m a Nickelodeon fan growing up. As well as a huge fan of him.

But when we finally discovered george and parliament funkadelic, and learned this was him as himself in this movie. It made me so happy 😊

This scene is so great. I’m still surprised Linda Cardellini played Heather the “psychopath.” If you don’t know who she is, she played Velma in the live action Scooby Doo movies and was one of the main characters in Freaks and Geeks.
She's also Hawkeye's wife and voiced Lila in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.
You can tell those "mental patients" were actually professional dancers, though. Lol, my favorite scene.❤

I’m ready for part 2…but idk if they can top this part 😂 this was my introduction to George Clinton / Funkadelic as a kid.
They had nothing like this in the new movie. Watched it this morning. It was cute and funny. But it had nothing like this scene. I feel like it would have "offended" people with the mental hospital. I wish they would have had a dancing part in this new movie and that they would have brought george back for a longer scene. I don't want to spoil it for you. It was not as good as the original but it still was great and worth watching.
This scene is still my favorite scene of any movie ever. Probably one of the best cameos in a movie with george clinton. In the new movie, we get cameos from Pete Davidson, yung gravy and Rob gronkowski. Which I thought was lame. They could have added more people from the 90s. So many missed opportunities. Don schneider may be creepy, but he was a creative genius for good burger 1.

Watching this movie back in the day, I remember seeing this scene and thinking "what is this De La Soul 'Me Myself and I' ripoff?" and kinda liking it more. Used Kazaa or something to download the song, actually loving this song a lot more. Only to find out even later that 'Knee Deep' is the original and it took even more time to find out George Clinton is actually in this scene as through the years I got familiar with his discography and who he is. Now, so much later, the appreciation for this scene and ignition down the rabbit hole it caused, is through the roof.
