This part made me think of how many real-life mental hospital patients would have liked to have someone like Ed to brighten their day. This is just like the name game scene of AHS.
I was a mental hospital patient for a couple of weeks, and it's not as bad as this, not really, but I would have loved for Ed to come and do this. Definitely would be a highlight.
The FACT that George Clinton shows up in this scene looking & acting crazier than anybody else, dancing to his own damn song… is just next-level movie making genius!! And you don’t even realize until years & years later…
Really?? You ACTUALLY think I didn’t notice George Clinton in this scene??? Cmon now your crazy 😜. I noticed it was him because he’s SO recognized for the music of the 70s AND the Funk legend himself. Sure he’s a genius but cmon now kben24 I recognized him RIGHT away because of his headdress he always wore and that he’s well known. And I’ve seen this film a THOUSAND times now too. I’m a Nickelodeon fan growing up. As well as a huge fan of him.
@@someguy42093probably the best cameo in a movie. Of all time. I just love that when it came out , we at kids had no idea who he was or that this was his actual song. The fact that all the crazy people were perfectly in sink with each other, to the point that all normal people were the ones who felt like the crazy ones is f*cking poetry
Well then his reaction makes sense because he clearly looks confused. Her dancing wasn’t even clownish and he stopped mid sentence 😂 Probably didn’t even know she was on the set until that moment.
I wish i had a time machine to go back to these times when everything was simple and everyone was alive, we laughed 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and had a good time!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💔😔🙂🙂🙂 Grateful we have the memories too last forever!!!
I remember when I was younger and I saw I this, I just jumped off the couch and started imitating the choreography! Movies and music nowadays don't have the same effect! Never! Funk is the truth
I remember jamming to this scene every time I saw it in the 90’s. When my cousin took me to a George Clinton and P-Funk concert in the late 2000’s, I lost my shit when they played this song..
Idgaf what nobody say that doesn’t like this movie, this scene makes the movie a 10 for me. Always ☝🏾😂. This song would come on in my head randomly As a kid.
People think that mental hospitals are filled with phycos and murderers but I went to a mental hospital when I was a teen and It was kind of like this dance scene
This scene is so great. I’m still surprised Linda Cardellini played Heather the “psychopath.” If you don’t know who she is, she played Velma in the live action Scooby Doo movies and was one of the main characters in Freaks and Geeks.
They had nothing like this in the new movie. Watched it this morning. It was cute and funny. But it had nothing like this scene. I feel like it would have "offended" people with the mental hospital. I wish they would have had a dancing part in this new movie and that they would have brought george back for a longer scene. I don't want to spoil it for you. It was not as good as the original but it still was great and worth watching.
This scene is still my favorite scene of any movie ever. Probably one of the best cameos in a movie with george clinton. In the new movie, we get cameos from Pete Davidson, yung gravy and Rob gronkowski. Which I thought was lame. They could have added more people from the 90s. So many missed opportunities. Don schneider may be creepy, but he was a creative genius for good burger 1.
Watching this as an adult is freaking hilarious. Considering crazy people in sync dancing to this already hilarious song. Cant make movies like these anymore
Always loved this scene as This was my introduction to George clinton as a kid I found him so fascinating as I got older and found out he was the sound behind most of my childhood music I cherished him more
Watching this movie back in the day, I remember seeing this scene and thinking "what is this De La Soul 'Me Myself and I' ripoff?" and kinda liking it more. Used Kazaa or something to download the song, actually loving this song a lot more. Only to find out even later that 'Knee Deep' is the original and it took even more time to find out George Clinton is actually in this scene as through the years I got familiar with his discography and who he is. Now, so much later, the appreciation for this scene and ignition down the rabbit hole it caused, is through the roof. This ish funked me up!
This was my first George Clinton/Parliament-Funkadelic song growing up, my mom is a fan of theirs and took that moment to tell me who they are. I can at least thank her and my dad for giving me good taste in music.
This scene deserves every possible award for choreography that it never got back then.
How does this comment not have more likes?
If he didn’t have Dancing Queen or Abba, we wouldn’t have Good Burger or Dancing in the Asylum
Haha there are some super adult themes in this movie I forgot about 😂😅
We need a full choreography edit!!!
Donald m Campbell jr good burgers

True honestly makes me feel grateful for my family and mental stability.
You belong in an asylum if you really believe real mental patients are anything like this
Way to be a kill joy

My nephew was one of the dancers in this movie.
Ed is right at home with the patients, he knows how to communicate with them😂
lol true XD
Ed was FEELIN' HIMSELF with that choreography!
This is basically the mental institution version of thriller
+ knee deep is a better song, still Much love to MJ
@@fettywapsmissingeyeidk. It’s always been a song that’s creeped me out. P-funk has better songs. I always thought this was odd choice.
@@someguy42093why, if you don’t mind explaining? I’m learning this song for a college assignment…
I was thinking the same thing. Funnily enough, the song reminds me of young MJ for some reason lol. Probably the jherri curled vive it gives.
I am pretty sure he was talking about the choreography and NOT the song. Both songs are great even though they're not even comparable.
BEST SCENE IN GOOD BURGER, I MISS THE 90-2000’s MOVIES AND TV SHOWS! 📺❤️🔥

I too miss the 90-2000's movies and tv shows
they had such a different vibe

The song is “Not Just Knee Deep” by Funkadelic. You’re welcome.
It’s such a good song

You find out why when you watch the movie
Same lol
Kurt from mondo burger called in a few favors if you know what i mean..
I'm saying 🤣🤣🤣
I always knew even as a child 🤣
Learning this dance is my biggest accomplishment in life.
Nice

Mines too lol
Did you ever nail those super surgical pelvic blasts near the end? Anyway, the whole dance was solid and fun. Kel really brought it, too!

So to be clear. This man is so loyal to the Good Burger brand that even in an insane asylum. He's still wearing his Good Burger hat? Lolol

Still a classic movie never gets old
By far the greatest dance scene in cinematic history
My only problem with this scene is they didn’t show enough of Ed dancing for me.
Not enough George Clinton!
