However at the same time, if families don’t have at least 2 kids, you’re not “replacing” yourselves for when you become too old to work. A lot of this stuff is based on religous doctrine, such as Catholicism (i.e. no birth control). Look at the Duggars. I'm just saying 9 kids is a bit gratutuios. I don't care if my statement made you upset, but childhood poverty can be a problem in large families.

@@patrickmanway290 I...wasn't upset, I was just saying how population is a complex matter, and why some people having large families is still okay because of population age. He's not used to the praise. And when Mike tells him "You're a good man", He's about to deflect the praise again ("Well..."). But he softens. He lets in the love his brother wants to show him. "Thank you, Mike". What a heartbreaking and beautiful story.

But oddly, I started loving him more as a brother when he came forward and told everyone he was gay. He still thought I hated him because of how religious I was, but he realized how much I truly loved him when he landed in the hospital. It was nothing serious but I didn’t know and was worried sick about him. When he heard how scared I was for him, his attitude towards me shifted. We live in separate states now but I still look after him as best I can because he always will be my little brother.

One of my older siblings is bi, and she's been terrified to tell my parents, because our mom's a very spiritual Christian and she's worried she'll disown her if she ever found out. I can't imagine what that must feel like, to have to live in fear of your own parents discovering your sexuality someday just because of a public opinion. I hope that she gains the courage to come out one day, and that my mom accepts her

I felt this story really resonated to me cuz I've lost my older brother and my extended family, step or half don't talk to me because of our parents relationship ending badly. Though I still have my cousins, out of the mist of the family drama we've gotten close and love them so much. Who knows maybe one day they'll come around but i'm grateful to have my cousins.

How did Bryan build himself from being left on the side of the road to a seemingly put-together adult? C'mon guys, there is so much more to this. Don't leave me hanging? So happy how they've seemed to build a family again from nothing.

I went and picked him up and took him back to my place, my parents were not 100% okay with gay people but they didn't kick people out for it and let him live with us. Though, my dad and I might have found his dad a few weeks later and gave him a piece of our minds... and fists... and feet...
