I was mortified to learn that fakes are making their way into department stores. I’ve seen some really good replicas myself. But we know what they are. These people out here passing off replicas as the real thing are getting out of hand! We aren’t safe anywhere. Thank you so much for watching🥰
Thank you so much for actually opening each bag and describing it in detail. Definitely made me consider adding some new bags *preluxz* to my wish list, but also made me reconsider other bags.
Girl the way I hollered at the phone when you got to your 3rd example!! I was recently sent the wrong item from Macy's but it has the correct product tag on it. The scammers are on top of their jobs. Meanwhile these retailers need to pay attention! Great video ❤
Love *preluxz* the way you show it! You really focus on showing off the bag. I don't think any other RUclipsr can show off bags in as much detail as you.
Thanks so much for bringing this up! I recently got a fake Coach tea rose bag. I always wanted one but it ended up being a counterfeit. Luckily, they allowed me to return it. I never thought Coach would have counterfeit bags but I was wrong.
Yep! If someone returns a fake to a retail store it’s possible the employees may not realize it’s fake. I’m glad you got your money back, though. Thx for watching!
I notice many resellers are now selling fakes Coach and even Juicy Couture online, I am being extra careful and I take the time to look at my bags like a crazy person. I notice TJ Maxx will take fakes and I know it must have been a return and someone wasn't paying attention. I will give them grace but I hope a return won't be an issue for the customer who discovers the truth.
It was a great harvest, the replicas are great, and it’s always worth it to find designer pieces! I love all the bags, they are all timeless pieces, awesome *hotdups*

It doesn’t bother me. It makes the experience more pleasant if they’re knowledgeable, but I don’t expect them to be able to authenticate a bag or spot a fake. That’s an unfair expectation to place on a sales associate.

This was a really great video and im so glad you touched on having grace towards the SA. These fakes are called super fakes for a reason. A lot goes into making them look as close to the real thing as possible. These department stores and boutiques are simply going to have to be more diligent and offer training to their staff. Now I wonder if Coach like LV if you took a bag in for repair would do an authentication first. And catch the issue then.
You’re right! Training staff is probably going to have to be a next step in the near future. Because these fakes are getting too good and staff can’t be expected to always know. Thank you so much for watching!
Yeah I didn’t know that was a thing until recently. But the fact that stores like Dillards and even Coach are getting fakes is super scary. Thx for watching
This use to happen way back in the day with Dooney & Bourke bags. Back in the early 90's when they were very popular. People were actually going to department stores exchanging for genuine ones or requesting a refund. And the stores obliged! The fakes were just that good!
Thanks for the mention, your right some workers don’t know what they are bagging, they probable just pulled from where they are supposed to pull from and don’t know the different, great point and great video.

@handbagfanatic1692 people are just so shady nowadays, it’s really scary. You have to know exactly what to look for otherwise you’re bound to get scammed 😩
TFS❤❤. This is why I have slowed down my online ordering if I have not seen the bag in person. When I do see it in person I am sure to inspect it and take pics/short video so I can remember what I saw just in case I don’t purchase that day. I remember seeing an Amazon review of the small MJ tote bag. Because I own multiple tote bags and have seen most colors in person, I knew she had received a fake bag. I felt sooooo bad because she was sooooo happy about the “deal” she received on her designer bag 😢😢😭😭😭
Yup! Happened to me except I received non Coach items -two non Coach dresses- directly from a Coach store. It was an online purchase that should’ve been the Coach Tabby 40. They refused my return and I had to involve AMEX. Amex took the charge off my card but had i not used AMEX I don’t think I would’ve been so fortunate. I haven’t felt comfortable buying online from them since.
For me, I can easily afford the authentic ones but I choose not to. I am not blown away by the quality at all. I am totally fine with the *hotdups* . I would rather use my money wisely than waste it on luxury items.
I was scammed by a seller on Mercuri. I purchased the black denim tabby 20. I received it, and it was not the same handbag pictured on the website. The stitching was the wrong color and the handbag was dark grey instead of black. Mercuri customer service was amazing, and made sure I received a refund.
It’s super scary. Especially if you’re not familiar with the brand. You assume if you purchase the bag from COACH or Dillards it’s authentic. Now no one is safe. Thx for watching
A while back, I think it was sometime last year, someone made a video regarding the outlet bags vs the boutique bags -they said that the outlet bags were made by a totally different Coach manufacturer than the boutique bags, hence the subtle, and sometimes, not so subtle differences. Do you know if this is true? I did have an experience once where I walked into a Coach store and one of the SAs gave me a nice comment on the Coach bag that I was carrying and then said “ the outlet has nice bags”. I asked how he knew it was from the outlet and he said because the boutiques (stores) don’t offer that particular style in their collection.
There is a distinct difference between outlet bag and retail COACH bags. They’re both made by COACH but the outlet bags are made specifically for the outlet. And it’s also true that the styles are different. That’s how you can tell. Of course the outlet quality is not on the same level as the retail quality, but it’s still pretty good. And some outlet pieces rival retail quality in my opinion. It just depends on the bag. But overall the retail bags are made of more expensive leathers, the hardware tends to be more substantial, and the linings are eiither leather or premium micro fiber. Also the outlet bags don’t come with dust bags, but the retails bags do. If you pay close attention, you will notice that COACH will sometimes make outlet silhouettes very similar to the their more expensive retail bags. Thx for watching 🥰
