Jollygreen, have you seen any Enfields rebareled for the 7.62x39 and use AK-47 mags? I saw something once and they were made "down under" somewhere. I am in the US and from what I can tell there are no importers of them.
I really want a Lee Metford. But not as much as I want a Lee Enfield. But when all is said and done I will have both, along with a P14. I love British firearms and militaria.

First pattern are black powder, second pattern has a new barrel and uses cordite.

$700 is a bit much for an Australian Lee Enfield.
You can get them for around $300.
lol back then it was a good price for all matching numbers in good condition. That is a ww1 smle not a ww2. Worth more.
