thank you very much for this info. I had an e56 error and replaced this control board which fixed my problem. additional note: my washer and dryer are stacked in a small closet. I was able to replace the board from the front lower panel without having to remove the belt and motor and moving my washer.

What tests should I do to find out that the control board was defective?

Very helpful video, but there are FOUR (4) screws that hold the motor, NOT THREE (3). And I cannot get to the 4th screw as it's in an impossible location way in the back behind the motor!!! I tried to get to the board from the front, but it's too small a space. Any ideas?

I'm at the part where you take the motor out. My motor doesn't just slide out. I can't get it to budge. I even hit it with a hammer and it still didn't budge. Suggestions?

There is a FORTH screw in the way back on the top-right, the video fails to mention that.I do't know why they wouldn't say that because you CANNOT get the motor out

I just pulled mine out the front bottom panel. No need to remove the motor at all or try to move a 200+ lb machine.

Glad you were able to just pull yours out from the front bottom panel. These videos are not model specific and are to just help give a general idea on how to do the repair. Some models are located in the back and you would have to remove the motor and move the washer out.

Did you check your machine for an error code? Look up the error code in the technician sheet and it should indicate where the fault is.
