I hate to say it as a Cat guy, but that looks way better and cleaner than stock. Good job on the paint too, you really took some time cleaning it.

Adept Ape it did come out nice! U should see what the paint guy just did to ours. Wtf what a mess! Did great on the red chassis, but sprayed red all over motor. He says oh fix it for u, go get him a gal of CAT yellow, well everything got painted yellow. Wtf. What a mess

I just love watching your videos especially when your dealing with a complicated piece of machinery such as this engine rebuild. The lighting, camera work and audio are in my opinion outstanding - I dread to think how much time and effort it must take to edit it all to your satisfaction. When you add in your dry humour it is just great.
    Thanks for what you do.

Central Iowa here. Who wouldn't watch your videos! You're an entertaining guy! Can't wait to see how that switchblade performs! I might have to check them out, been wanting to upgrade and they look very interesting. And today isn't Friday! 2 videos per week! I do know the time it takes. On one of my last videos I spend about 4 hours editing and uploading and all that for a 9 minute video! You're putting in a lot of time, but the content is great. Always look forward to it when I see one pop up! Thanks for the video!

I really enjoy watching all of your videos on your channel. I also have "Cat Yellow Blood" and seeing the way you take care of your equipment puts a big smile on my face. It's great to see someone taking pride in their work and their equipment. I restore older Cat equipment as a hobby so I appreciate all of the work you put into maintaining your fleet. Big job and lots of work and $$$$. One tip that may be helpful is to use a port-a-band saw to cut studs and all thread rod - doesn't mess up the threads. Keep up the great work!

I don't know what you listen to while you're whiling away the hours in the shop, but I used to listen to CBC before she went to mainly PC and victimhood narratives. Whatever it's tuned to, the background can contribute to working as the sound keeps fading in and out as your concentration on the job varies. Same as Paul, great midweek surprise.

Jpaydirt with original stock turbo and manifold it was always 1150-1250degf when working hard and around 900 cruising. With the new turbo and manifold it barely gets over a 1000degf pulling down to 1200rpm and cruising it only sits about 700degf. Thats running at 110-120000lbs every load

Have a MXS 460horse 2007 model in the shop for a plethora of problems. Codes for IVA solenoids (huge surprise), oil pressure 100-110psi cold, snapped exhaust manifold studs, one bad turbo, air compressor leaking oil, peanut cover missing bolts, metric shit ton of blow by, engine is also making oil. The only good thing is it has a brand new radiator and had a coolant flush. Love CAT but this old girl hasn’t been maintained…325,000 miles and change but 22,000 PTO hours…so we hypothesize she has around 850,000 miles if you factor the PTO use. It’s a shit pumper truck and to top off all the above problems, it smells great.

Just subscribed though I've been watching for awhile.
Love the videos. I'm currently an evening LTL route driver w/a few stops then drop and hook. Learned to drive in one of the best trucking schools in the country. Most my learning was in KW T600/660s with a few others varieties. Couldn't get over the power, sound or feel of a CAT engine. I'm stuck with a bunch of under powered Freightshaker Detroits where I'm at now but they're payin' the bills I guess. Haha
I'm also a trained "high performance engine machinist" so these engines really peak my interest in that department as well. Have only had the chance to work on one CAT in my time machining and it was long before I had the ability to appreciate what they were.
Enough rambling. Thanks for the videos. Keep up the good work!
