One of my biggest questions is why would Black Manta’s father bring a grenade launcher into a submarine?? The only thing missing is that he opens the window because it feels stuffy underwater.
Plus a grenade once launched won't arm itself a few feet from the Launcher for obvious reasons

You missed a sin: a guy in the background had a pillar fall on his legs and then Aquaman lifted the pillar off his legs and then the guy ran away? With no broken legs? Or any problem running? Like heavy lifting was the only problem there

You're honestly not wrong. I've had two of my friends watch this movie, both of whom had no idea whatsoever who she was (and didn't care), and one who didn't really care for Jason Mamoa. Both were pleasantly surprised by how much they actually enjoyed the movie, both loved Arther. And both absolutely hated Mera. Couldn't stand her at all. For one of them it got so bad that she wasn't practically cussing her out every single time she was on screen. They both thought the "actress" who played her was trash, and that her character actually made them like the movie less. They both hated her 🤣 -- Yes, this was not long after the movie came out. Well before this recent case.

Keep in mind Aquamans dad is named Thomas Curry, Batman’s dad is named Thomas Wayne.
How were there no sins for the giant city wall guns, intended to protect the city, clearly laying waste to the city by firing into the city and missing aquamans ship. This was a terrible thought out defensive measure when it destroys everything it is supposed to be defending.
DC loves ignoring its collateral damage almost as much Marvel...I say almost, because sometimes Batman needs it as a plot device

The real question is, why did the aquarium put literally every fish species, including sharks, into one large tank!
Aguariums feed the sharks daily so sharks wont eat the other fish. I saw this one aquarium and they explain it
Last aquarium I went to (Osaka) had hammerhead sharks, whalesharks, mantas and many different species of fish in the main container. I also wondered how.
Realistically, Sharks are not to be kept in captivity. It needs a large tank that surrounds 500m-1000m in square at the very least to survive.
Mr. margad are you sure. Cause I know the zoo near me has 2 tiger sharks in a small tank (maybe 30m) and they are fine.

Agreed, but more than 1 sin, more like 100% sin. I saw the movie, at least most of it, once and I did not see "chemistry" between Heard and Mamoa. Also, she (Heard) looked like she was "jealous" of Aquaman's Mommy when Aquaman was talking with his Mom before he went to battle for the trident. There were actually a few scenes that looked like she was "disinterested" in when she was not the main character in that particular moment. Another issue that proves if she is not the center of attention, she will try to draw the attention to herself.

Actually those flares have oxygen chemically included in their internal fuel supply and can burn quite well underwater at least as long as they still have fuel available.

The thing I hated the most was that he didn’t remove sins for the beautiful cinematography of that entire scene. Slowmo rain pouring down as Arthur jumps down into the depth of unknown, holding a red flare in an otherwise mute and dark world right as a thunder strikes, illuminating enough around the boat for you to see the dozens of scary creatures following him.
This was one of the most memorable movie moments for me

Every single clunky ass awkward romance dialogue deserved a sin, and every single line delivery by Amber Heard. I've never seen her in anything before and I can say I am glad, she seemed super bored and her lines were torture. Jason just seems awkward when he responds but at least he has charisma.

Green Goblin sort of resembled a Power Ranger villain in the Spider-Man movie with Toby McGuire however it was still a pretty good movie. Also Power Ranger movie was better than TV show at least in my opinion they upgraded the special effects.

Flares will stay lit underwater as long as they have an oxidizing agent in them. Even normal road flares can burn under water though the deeper you go, the faster the rate of burn time.

16:00 flares can burn underwater, the oxygen is supplied through a chemical reaction just like gunpowder. As long as they are lit it will stay lit underwater. I'm not sure but i think certain types can also be lit underwater.

They actually burn because of black powder in the flare that has it's own oxygen.
@@patrickfossum6774 flares contain magnesium, which reacts violently enough to pull the oxygen out of the water molecules, black powder is just a composition of sulfur, charcoal and potassium nitrate , which contains the oxygen for the reaction so lighting it under water is possible, however black powder is pretty much only used as propellant or explosive since it burns up extremely fast and thus doesnt work as a sustained light source

2:03 - They're not awed at his eyes, they're awed at all of the inhabitants of the aquarium gathering behind Arthur, which, unlike the yellow eyes, is a VERY visible phenomenon.

I like how the Atlantean engineers made a gun with a compartment for storing water even though they literally live in the sea.
I hate this movie, but making a gun capable of storing ammunition outside of its prefered environnement still is a good enginnering move.
They wouldn't have the weird reverse dive-suit if they didn't expect to; at least sometime; operate outside of the sea.
He wanted it to work on land also. They planned to go to war with the surface dwellers.
Or they modified it to be useful on the surface.

Flares do work underwater, They just need to burn hot enough and burn independent of atmospheric oxygen. Fun fact? If you tape 5 or more party sparklers together, they too, will burn underwater if lit.

Extra Sin: Every time someone transitioned from water to air or vise versa there should have been an awkward half minute of vomiting water or sort-of-drowning as their lungs empty and refill with the new atmosphere.
Also, I would totally eat the crab people. And, as a half sicilian I can tell you the underwater world and kingdoms are under more danger from hungry italians than the villains in this movie.

As a former Sonar Technician in the US Navy I can confirm that sound does indeed travel faster but depending on temperature and pressure the distance it can changes big time. Maybe this made only the guys making the noise able to hear it! 😉😜
Also another sin for cinemasins, He said at the beginning that two boats would not come together, they actually would according to them each having a gravitational pull but it would take a very long time but it would eventually work.

The CGI technology is well-utilized to explore the oceanic world of Atlantis and the Seven Kingdoms, almost every shot looks like a beautiful illustration literally from the pages
I was actually pretty impressed how much of the visuals brought this mythology to life and reminded me of 'Star Wars' and 'Tron'
The action scenes are so much damn fun to watch from the fight in Sicily to the final battle as well some laughs considering how dark and brooding the recent lineup of DCEU films have been of recently, it's more of the lighter side this time
The sound design is incredible though it may be numbing for some considering this movie is 2 hours and 20 minutes
Director James Wan conveys the ideas of being bi-racial, the oceans have polluted us not just the other way around, is a hero better than a king?, and environmentalism
However you judge the acting and not all the jokes landing 100% this is still one of the most fun DCEU films!
It’s definitely worth the wait and filled with enough family drama to go along with the spectacular CGI splendor

That is correct and magnesium is the most prominent one. It burns very bright in air and in water. Thats why you quench a magnesium fire with sand.
