here's an update, I started with an approx. weight of 98Kgs, now after over a Month of sobriety and back to eat very simple foods like tomatoes, watermelon, various vegetables, i cut my weight to nearly 75Kg, feels incredible, like born again, guys, give this video a try, IT WORKS!

As a Muslim, we fast during the Holy month of Ramadan (for one month) from sunrise till sunset, we are not able to eat or drink anything until sunset.. all Muslims in the world fast and share the joy of Ramadan together which is amazing.. 69 hours in on my 3 day fast worked out all three days as of right now im -11 pounds. I think cardio maximizes results on three days fast as least if the goal is weight loss and a reset
We ,Muslims, fast during entire month Ramazan (Ramadan) from sunrise till sunset everyday. Because as humans, we are susceptible to sins and fasting teaching us to be pious and restrain ourselves from worldly pleasures. The idea is to ensure we are not led astray by materialistic desires and to be able to control urges that can cloud judgement.
No offence but Ramadan is very easy to do if you always do intermittently fasting, when you water fast you literally never eat until the end of the day you chosen, longest I ever water fasted for was 6 days without food and it was torture
@Danny Mexia Well the thing is that Ramazan is not only about "not eating and drinking " as I mentioned in my comment. It is about restraining yourself from worldly pleasures and materialistic desires in which food is also included. Muslims are also to try to curb negative thoughts and emotions like jealousy and anger, and even things like swearing, complaining, and gossiping, during the month.
I've completed three 10 day water fast over the last 5 years, although two of mine were faith lead. They're not for everyone, especially the longer ones, but can have a hugely positive impact on your health physically and spiritually. There is so much evidence for and against it, so it's important not to judge. Well done, Stephen!
It's Ethiopian orthodox fasting time. I done 3 days dry fast and 11 days water fasting and it was amazing experience. Spiritually and physically. Well done. Make sure you break your fast slowly and with protein. Sending Divine light and love.
@@ElPopeye7 how much water you drink is dependent on your weight for people over 70 kg its usually 3 litres. 50 to 60 kgs is between 2 litres to 2.9 litres . Please do not over drink water as it reduces your potassium and other electrolytes in the body .
I just did a 64 hour water fast based on watching Stephen’s video. I was amazed how much energy I had. In fact, by the end of day two, I had way more energy than I normally do at the start of a day. I also really enjoyed having so much more time in my day because I wasn’t prepping, eating or resting after meals. This gives you back quite a large chunk of time. Of course, at times, I felt niggling hunger pangs but I think they are great because they told me that my body was using my own energy stores (fat!).
Fasting is what Muslim do in the whole month of Ramadhan. Once a year we fast to keep us muslim grateful for what we have and for the starving people in the world.

It amazes me how people think a 3-day water fast is monumental. People should be doing this all the time. And you don't have to be so slow in regards to your refeeding. It's only 3 days. Refeeding syndrome only happens after about a week of not eating and even then it's not that bad. You can pretty much eat whatever you want within reason.

I look the web for answers and for someone famous raving about the 72 hour water fast for killing illnesses A-Z !! So I tried it!! Failed the first time about hour 43 lol snacks were left out on the table!! I’m human and just got weak !! Tried it again a few weeks later and was so surprised that I had my sights on 100 hours almost immediately (not even sure why) !! And I actually just completed my 2nd successful fast (64 hours lol successful) and I must say I see some of my goals coming true just because old brain fog has lifted!! It’s not for everyone and definitely contact someone who is a professional to walk you through it but I started mine on a Thursday night and just eat a late lunch Sunday when I needed to recharged !! Well done! I do regular fasting for autophagy healing and fat loss too. When I do prolonged fasts, it helps my hypothyroidism. I'm trying to support my body in healing itself, so no sugar for me and regular fasting. Sometimes I do 3 day fasts, sometimes I do alternate day fasting for 40hrs. So I fast Monday, Wednesday and Fridays for 40 hrs. Recently I have gone to OMAD to.increase my protein because I can feel that my muscles aren't recovering quick enough at the gym. I can really see the difference in you. Keep pressing forward. Your hard work is paying off.
I just did a 3 day fast and on day 2 and 3 it was difficult. I felt weak and thought about food all the time! But I lost a few pounds and noticed the difference with clothes and in the mirror. Will do it again next week as it is worth the results!
I do water fasting all the time...it does clear your thoughts, and it also makes you conscious of all the eating you do based on cravings or addiction to sugar. Publicity and advertisement also play a big role in our desire to eat without even really being hungry. You can't watch a tv show or a youtube video without a steaming hot pizza, a meaty burger, or crunchy chicken being shown on the screen every few minutes.

25 hours into my 3 day fast I’m doing well I’m hoping to get to 4 days as I have done a couple of fast before hand so I’m used to going on for food for a couple of hours now.
As far as I know it is very healthy issue for our body. Your cells burn your fats and also cells clean their selves, in long term it feeds your muscles. I'm 46 hours in of a 72 hour fast and I feel *great!* The first 24 hours is definitely the hardest despite me doing daily 16-20 hour fasts and have eating windows between 8-4 hours. Once I got over the 24 hour mark it's been fine. Been drinking teas without milk or sugar and water to stay full. Whenever I feel dizzy I take a pinch of sea salt and I make sure to take my vitamins in the morning. Wonder how much weight has gone down.
😢 I see so many comments of people feeling Great on days 2 & 3, meanwhile I feel weak & a little shaky! No energy & can barely get up to walk my dog! 🤦♀️ Not sure if it’s in my head but I definitely feel it in my body

Stephen ... this reminds me of our fasting month . In Ramadan we don’t eat nor drink from sun rise to sunset thats when we break our fast . I love Ramadan because fasting during this month is one of the five pillars of Islam . It’s such a special month for us Muslims . The Holy Quran was revealed in this month . It’s the best time of the year . We pray more .. it also make us realize how people feel and live without food . We grow spiritually and become more closer to the Almighty Allah . . I've been doing alternate day fasting currently. Following the protocol recommended by Dr. Mindy Peltz for fasting like a girl. I'm planning a 72 hr fast this month and have been watching everyone's vids like crazy. 😊😊
Did a 14 days water fasting for 3 times already. Great result I tell ya. Lost 20kg (Im very hard to lose weight so yea this is the bare minimum you can get. Some people can lose up to 30 kg) because I did a huge cheat day after each session (14 days) then do the fasting again. Massive cheat day like I did will make you gain up to 2-3 kgs again but it will reduce slowly the next days. But if you control your meal plan and eat like normal, there’s no way you’d gain the weight back as long as you’re being mindful of what to eat the next following days 🥰
I’m assuming 14 days. I have done a 12 day water fast before and was intending to do a 14 day one but I started feeling weak so I had to break it. I don’t know if this is the same for everyone but after the 3rd day the hunger seems to disappear and it gets a lot easier.
Try planning a day of filled activities that switch it up. Like you forget most time. If only hours away, it's good to have a food that's not one favorite. Have it ready for when you eat . If he did a five day fast with only water, I'm surprised and shocked.

I was a runner, low carber for four years on/off some junk here and there. Got some weight, not quality muscles I'm lifting for two months. Gained a lot of weight. The belly fat is not changing so, as I know calorie restriction doesn't work for me, started a fasting at Sunday night, trying to go to 72hrs. Why 72? Cause I think less than that will have no impact on me since my body got really adapted over the years. Im lifting hard even on the day two of the fasting. Monday went ok. Today I even increased weight. To tell the truth I thought today I would be tired but I'm not. Came here to get inspiration to get to the end, since now after 48h I started to fell some hungry. When I made a 48hr fasting back ago, the day two I felt bad but don't know why, now I feeling really good. Maybe because now I'm fatter lol. Anyway, I'm thinking about making this every week. The theory behind is:1 animal can't get food every time they try, so I think it is possible to workout normal as in a feed state. 2 there are tribes that stay up to five days to get some meat to eat and they don't go slow cause they are without food. They go harder to win the prey 3 to end the fast I will eat the amount my body tell me too cause it knows better than me. I know I will have diarrhea so I will make it at home lol. 4 Making it every week I think it will make my body adapted to fasting and don't depend too much on food. 5 Be more regulated regardless insulin and lose all excessive fat tissue. 6 And a fact is that in a fasting you are eating your fat tissue so you are not starvation mode as in calorie restriction. Let's see. 7. less time and less frequency fasting my body can replenish all the lost weight, so thats why one time a week. Let's see. To get to week two, I have to get to tomorrow lol 😂
During Lent Traditional Catholics Fast from the Beginning of Lent or Ash Wednesday to Holy Saturday. Fasting consists of two meals which do not equal a full meal, and one full meal per day with preferably fish, but no meat and fish in the same meal. No eating between meals. Fridays are fasting from meat entirely every friday of the year. Cannot imagine fasting on just water. No juices either? What about Green Tea? Your heart will definitely be the thing to react first to the fast. Be careful Stephen. Do you have a Heart/Oxygen Meter? You're able to drink Black Coffee. The beginning of liquid nutrition and yogurt back into your diet reminds me of how hospitals work us back into food after severe surgery, when we are unable to eat solids for a day or two, but we're lying in bed recovering from painful, major surgery. Not moving at all. Brave Stephen!

Fasting for faith is very powerful. The longest I’ve done is 7 days. Once you’re past the first couple of days it gets easier. Also try using this mix to replace water, it will help prevent headaches often experienced with fasting. 46 hours in and I am hungry, but not starving. I work in technology and my mind has been pretty clear and I am able to my job effectively. I am most interested in regenerating cells, and to me it is worth the effort if that happens. I have allowed myself tea, coffee, and water. I put a bit of salt in my coffee as well. Slept OK last night, but we'll see how tonight goes. My wife cooked her lunch this afternoon and I enjoyed the smell, but didn't really get any cravings or overly hungry. This hasn't been all that bad, so far.

I would advise people to avoid sugar and carbs on the first refeed day and slowly reintroduce them over a couple days. If not at least choose fruit over juice to include needed fiber with the sugar 😊

Eat a large amount of protein the two days before you start this 72 hour fast. I usually have some nice ribeye steaks. I’ve done 60 hour fast 4 times and in June I’m doing two 72 hour fasts

Im eating with 14 hours gap ,for past 15 days and spent 2hours daily in gym& I'm feeling good👍, my plan is to continue fasting for next 5months.

❤I am 45 and have had a hellacious start to 2024 !! Got injured at work and then had my first spell of sciatica !!! I look the web for answers and for someone famous raving about the 72 hour water fast for killing illnesses A-Z !! So I tried it!! Failed the first time about hour 43 lol snacks were left out on the table!! I’m human and just got weak !! Tried it again a few weeks later and was so surprised that I had my sights on 100 hours almost immediately (not even sure why) !! And I actually just completed my 2nd successful fast (64 hours lol successful) and I must say I see some of my goals coming true just because old brain fog has lifted!! It’s not for everyone and definitely contact someone who is a professional to walk you through it but I started mine on a Thursday night and just eat a late lunch Sunday when I needed to recharged !! Got dizzy for a moment but after a hydrated I was good to go!! Love the video thanks for sharing!!! (Also lost 11lbs)
Well done! I do regular fasting for autophagy healing and fat loss too. When I do prolonged fasts, it helps my hypothyroidism. I'm trying to support my body in healing itself, so no sugar for me and regular fasting. Sometimes I do 3 day fasts, sometimes I do alternate day fasting for 40hrs. So I fast Monday, Wednesday and Fridays for 40 hrs. Recently I have gone to OMAD to.increase my protein because I can feel that my muscles aren't recovering quick enough at the gym. I can really see the difference in you. Keep pressing forward. Your hard work is paying off.
I have lost 47 pounds since April 20th; through intermittent water fast. Fasting is Amazing.
I just did a 3 day fast and on day 2 and 3 it was difficult. I felt weak and thought about food all the time! But I lost a few pounds and noticed the difference with clothes and in the mirror. Will do it again next week as it is worth the results!

I do water fasting all the time...it does clear your thoughts, and it also makes you conscious of all the eating you do based on cravings or addiction to sugar. Publicity and advertisement also play a big role in our desire to eat without even really being hungry. You can't watch a tv show or a youtube video without a steaming hot pizza, a meaty burger, or crunchy chicken being shown on the screen every few minutes.

25 hours into my 3 day fast I’m doing well I’m hoping to get to 4 days as I have done a couple of fast before hand so I’m used to going on for food for a couple of hours now.
As far as I know it is very healthy issue for our body. Your cells burn your fats and also cells clean their selves, in long term it feeds your muscles. I'm 46 hours in of a 72 hour fast and I feel *great!* The first 24 hours is definitely the hardest despite me doing daily 16-20 hour fasts and have eating windows between 8-4 hours.
Once I got over the 24 hour mark it's been fine. Been drinking teas without milk or sugar and water to stay full. Whenever I feel dizzy I take a pinch of sea salt and I make sure to take my vitamins in the morning.
Wonder how much weight has gone down.

Mix into 2 Liters of water
Also use times of hunger for prayer, a good faith tool.
It's pretty easy if you engage yourself with some work that you love.
Basically you do light work all day and thought of food doesn't bother you.

Muslims are big into fasting also, it’s called Ramadan. You can eat before sunrise and after sunset for a month.
Stephen ... this reminds me of our fasting month . In Ramadan we don’t eat nor drink from sun rise to sunset thats when we break our fast . I love Ramadan because fasting during this month is one of the five pillars of Islam . It’s such a special month for us Muslims . The Holy Quran was revealed in this month . It’s the best time of the year . We pray more .. it also make us realize how people feel and live without food . We grow spiritually and become more closer to the Almighty Allah . . I've been doing alternate day fasting currently. Following the protocol recommended by Dr. Mindy Peltz for fasting like a girl. I'm planning a 72 hr fast this month and have been watching everyone's vids like crazy. 😊😊
Did a 14 days water fasting for 3 times already. Great result I tell ya. Lost 20kg (Im very hard to lose weight so yea this is the bare minimum you can get. Some people can lose up to 30 kg) because I did a huge cheat day after each session (14 days) then do the fasting again. Massive cheat day like I did will make you gain up to 2-3 kgs again but it will reduce slowly the next days. But if you control your meal plan and eat like normal, there’s no way you’d gain the weight back as long as you’re being mindful of what to eat the next following days 🥰

I’m assuming 14 days. I have done a 12 day water fast before and was intending to do a 14 day one but I started feeling weak so I had to break it. I don’t know if this is the same for everyone but after the 3rd day the hunger seems to disappear and it gets a lot easier.

Try planning a day of filled activities that switch it up. Like you forget most time. If only hours away, it's good to have a food that's not one favorite. Have it ready for when you eat . If he did a five day fast with only water, I'm surprised and shocked.

I was a runner, low carber for four years on/off some junk here and there. Got some weight, not quality muscles I'm lifting for two months. Gained a lot of weight. The belly fat is not changing so, as I know calorie restriction doesn't work for me, started a fasting at Sunday night, trying to go to 72hrs. Why 72? Cause I think less than that will have no impact on me since my body got really adapted over the years. Im lifting hard even on the day two of the fasting. Monday went ok. Today I even increased weight. To tell the truth I thought today I would be tired but I'm not. Came here to get inspiration to get to the end, since now after 48h I started to fell some hungry. When I made a 48hr fasting back ago, the day two I felt bad but don't know why, now I feeling really good. Maybe because now I'm fatter lol. Anyway, I'm thinking about making this every week. The theory behind is:1 animal can't get food every time they try, so I think it is possible to workout normal as in a feed state. 2 there are tribes that stay up to five days to get some meat to eat and they don't go slow cause they are without food. They go harder to win the prey 3 to end the fast I will eat the amount my body tell me too cause it knows better than me. I know I will have diarrhea so I will make it at home lol. 4 Making it every week I think it will make my body adapted to fasting and don't depend too much on food. 5 Be more regulated regardless insulin and lose all excessive fat tissue. 6 And a fact is that in a fasting you are eating your fat tissue so you are not starvation mode as in calorie restriction. Let's see. 7. less time and less frequency fasting my body can replenish all the lost weight, so thats why one time a week. Let's see. To get to week two, I have to get to tomorrow lol 😂
During Lent Traditional Catholics Fast from the Beginning of Lent or Ash Wednesday to Holy Saturday. Cannot imagine fasting on just water. No juices either? What about Green Tea? Your heart will definitely be the thing to react first to the fast. Be careful Stephen. Do you have a Heart/Oxygen Meter? You're able to drink Black Coffee.
The beginning of liquid nutrition and yogurt back into your diet reminds me of how hospitals work us back into food after severe surgery, when we are unable to eat solids for a day or two, but we're lying in bed recovering from painful, major surgery. Not moving at all.

Fasting for faith is very powerful. The longest I’ve done is 7 days. Once you’re past the first couple of days it gets easier. Also try using this mix to replace water, it will help prevent headaches often experienced with fasting. Use the times you would typically be eating as prayer time.

I did water fasting before for 48 hours but I can't fast for 72 hours
I'm now on my 64 hours. I've been doing OMAD for 2 months before doing this longer fast so it helped a lot in adjusting.
But You're re-introducing sugar back in. Yogurt? Fruit juice? Veggies? Watermelon? 🤔 When you want to break an extended fast, always scrambled eggs in butter.

46 hours in and I am hungry, but not starving. I work in technology and my mind has been pretty clear and I am able to my job effectively. I am most interested in regenerating cells, and to me it is worth the effort if that happens. I have allowed myself tea, coffee, and water. I put a bit of salt in my coffee as well. Slept OK last night, but we'll see how tonight goes.
My wife cooked her lunch this afternoon and I enjoyed the smell, but didn't really get any cravings or overly hungry. This hasn't been all that bad, so far.

I would advise people to avoid sugar and carbs on the first refeed day and slowly reintroduce them over a couple days. If not at least choose fruit over juice to include needed fiber with the sugar 😊

I recommend to keep yourself distracted with exercise and RUclips , also I'd recommend boosting your cardio to 11 while on your fast

Eat a large amount of protein the two days before you start this 72 hour fast. I usually have some nice ribeye steaks. I’ve done 60 hour fast 4 times and in June I’m doing two 72 hour fasts
