This video was so helpful! I appreciated how easy it was to follow to keep things organized. Do you have a preferred method for watching the DVDs? Like a portable DVD player you recommend? I’m trying to decide if I want to do DVDs or pay for streaming.

It makes me so happy to hear that this was helpful 🤗 we personally live using the dvds because we never have to worry about the internet not working or things lagging, the kids can do classes on The go if they have to and we don’t have to worry about logging in. We just use older MacBooks with the dvd drives. 🙂

thank you so much for this video! i just got my k5 set and was wondering how to organize and this set-up is so much better then the file cubes I've seen and just too bulky but yet papers still seem too all over in my opinion.
just one thing where i am confused is when you started to add in the color tabs to the work books.
so to clarify did you just label till the last page to stop tearing out pages that belong for the 1st quarter in each student workbook?? example : letters and sounds it starts out lesson 1-30 for first quarter then 2nd quarter is lessons 31-60?.
then after you were done labeling them you just went back to tear out those pages and when you hit the red tab you knew that belongs to the 2nd quarter? do you get a new binder for that second quarter or do you use the previous binder you have and just take the first quarter out and add it to one big binder and then keep adding the quarters to that giant binder so when you're all done with all 6 quarters you will have one big kinder binder that's complete vs having 6 smalls one that is divided up into 6 quarters?
i'm just trying to see how many binders I'll need if i do it this way or the way you did it for k4.. as in k4 you just added all the work book pages in the binder and tests in the back and there was only 1 binder total for the year.
thank you I hope this made sense.

      It absolutely makes sense 🤗
Yes! That’s exactly how it works 🤗 I just use one binder. At the end of the quarter, I empty out the old work and add in the new work for the quarter. I keep all the assessments and a few samples of the work for my homeschool portfolio (we need one in PA for our end of year evaluation) the rest I toss. The tabs are just for setting it up at the beginning so that at the end of the quarter I just rip out the new pages and automatically know where to stop. It makes it very efficient when it’s time for the new work and I be added. However, if you prefer to set up the entire year at once in individual binders you can do that too. I’ve had ppl share with me that they have done it that way too.
Feel free to ask any questions, I’m always happy to answer or clarify something 🙂

@@JoyfulYessiheyyy! Last question did you tab the writing tablet / number tablet work book in Qrt. Sections as well? If so how did you know when to stop bc they don’t able “ lessons” as they did with the main work books?

@Southernchick95 if I remember correctly, I don’t think I did. I did however make the last two tabs for the math and writing tablets at the back of the binder and I placed them in there when she began using it. I think I just estimated what was going to be used. We had a quite a bit of the writing tablet left at the end of the year.
