I realized the importance of a hobby when I got a job. so many of my coworkers told me their everyday was: work-get home- do nothing- to bed- repeat. ^which lead to a depressing life style. I decided I dont wanna hit that wall and would schedule hanging out with friends, self care day, work out and just DO stuff. Filling the day with something fun or something you look forward to lifts the spirit every day!
Your cinematography is unlike anything else I've seen on YT. I'm so glad the algorithm is vibing with you, otherwise I wouldn't have found your 2 year old video three days ago about finding peace. I started bouldering 3 months ago and fell in love, the problem solving skills and building the confidence to trust yourself is addicting. If you're ever to climb again, less arms more legs, all us beginner climbers only use arms until someone kind let's us know it's all legs :O)
So I wanted to get a few things out there and perhaps get to know if anyone feels the same... A hobby is a thing that we "like" to do, like it brings up notions of peace, and relaxation...and overall good vibes. Like, they are things that we put effort into, and feel good about the effort we put in as well as the results we get. There are a few major caveats with this notion. First, I've seen modern life make people as good as seemingly programmed drones, that only put in effort when it is a source of money, or instant gratification. Why would you "want to work without money, or without obtaining likes". Because it makes you feel good? But modernism provides that feeling through money and attention apparantly... The average person is already bombarded with all sorts of dopamine hits, which they don't even have to work for. Just pull out your phone and you'll get an endless stream of 'entertaining content', or open a streaming service and watch 4 movies a day (movies that are so good, so absorbing and thought inducing and can stay with you for a very long time, but you get none of that because you immediately move onto the next one, hence your appreciation is also destroyed). And, you never "feel like" doing your supposed hobbies these days, because what's the point of nobody's watching?Just get lost in the endless repository the internet is. Once all connected by modern tech, people really don't do anything for themselves. They do it for validation. Maybe you created a piece of art, a short film, a poem, or composed a song, or learnt a new instrument....or even given your roommate a new haircut...whatever... Your first instinct is to post it for other people to see, like and comment... Otherwise it just feels like you wasted your time for nothing. Then there's jealousy. About your "hobby" not receiving enough attention compared to someone who posts similar things.
another masterpiece(a refreshing channel for me honestly), Its great to see people share this message . For me and many other people hobbies are a way of getting rid of the accumulated stress, personally for me I like playing my guitar , singing and writing some poems or just a walk in a silent way to get detached from this busy live.
I have started this recent exploration of trying new hobbies because I also felt like for so long I didn't have any hobbies. crocheting was one of my recent ones and its insane how many people immediately started asking me about selling or monetizing it in some way!! I thing its so important to have things that are just for entertainment and joy, life is far too short to constantly find ways to monetize everything.
2:06 That is such a beautiful picture. I've heard that Orson Wells, the director of Citizen Kane, said every frame is a painting. 2:06 is a beautiful example of what he meant.
Your videos are so impeccably and professionally written, shot, and produced! I just found your channel, but I'm glad to see that the algorithm has given you some notice and that you're getting more recognition and attention for your amazing content. It is truly inspiring, keep going! 😊
I have the opposite problem atm where I have too many hobbies and I don't know how to manage them all. I've discovered that it helps to have different hobbies depending on what season it is. That way you can change between them more naturally and you don't feel bad when you pick one over the other. It also helps to find a group of people that you can share your hobby with so that you can all grow together. :)
I started climbing a year ago, and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done. It’s a great way to push yourself physically and a great way to hangout with friends
I couldn't help but smile at the beginning of your latest video because I could relate so much! Being an orchestral trumpet player and a hiking enthusiast myself, I understand the fear of turning hobbies into jobs, I did it with both of these things. I feel I'm out of hobbies sometimes, and It's comforting to know that I'm not alone in feeling this way. Good on you for trying out climbing! Oh, and can we take a moment to appreciate the sheer brilliance of your videos? The quality of your filming and editing is on a whole new level. Truly impressive, I haven't seen anything like this on youtube. Thank you for the work and dedication.
I have to say im fascinated by this concept. As much as we are inundated with vloggers recording their everyday lives, I havent really seen as much (probably by virtue of me not particularly seeking it out tbh) work talking about the inner workings of one's mind and why they do something with a particular intentionality. It's also a really curious thing to me, recording your 20s. I'm in that stage of my life as well, and it's comforting but also intimidating to see someone undertake such a daunting task because it makes you think, "what if that were me?" Thanks for your Waiting for Life to Happen video, as much as i may lose that 1am spark of inspiration to change my life by morning, you've certainly put a much more vivid spin on the classic lesson that I at least won't forget. Beautiful storytelling and cinematography.
Hobbies are incredibly important for our overall well-being! They provide an escape from the daily grind, a chance to learn and grow, and can even lead to new friendships and passions. This video beautifully highlights why we should all make time for hobbies in our lives. It's not just about having fun; it's about nurturing our souls. Loved this.
Climbing is one of the best possible activities you could have picked for a new hobby! Glad you enjoyed it. It's definitely something you can get hooked on, especially once you meet other people to climb with. I think I found myself in the opposite predicament as you. Currently too many hobbies, but lost the passion for the work I do. Hoping one day to make one of my hobbies into a career.
girll you went hard when you went from i need a hobby to rock climbing, i can’t do a pushup correctly… athletic hobbies are the best though, something about being able to turn my thinking brain off is healing
Man, I really relate, my strong hobby of music became my life, and I don’t want to do that anymore. Trying new things has been very helpful for my mental.
I discovered you with TikTok and honestly, that is the best thing this app has do for me. I have never felt more understood than watching your videos. (Sorry if I made some mistakes, English is not my birth language)
I rarely comment on videos, but I just wanted to say that I think it's super cool how much work you put into making your videos cinematically interesting instead of just talking to the camera. Your content is very impressive. And really puts me in a better mood, which I've been in need of lately. You're my new binge :)
It's always a unique kind of difficult when your creative outlet becomes a way for you to survive---because on one hand: yay! You can do the thing you love AND not have to do anything else! But on the other hand: uh oh. You now rely on that thing for surviving, and that can be a really stressful and burn you out pretty quick. I'm slowly working on my art, youtube, and artistic stories, and this situation very much reminds me of that fear I have when I work on them. Building more hobbies is sometimes difficult, but it's so important so that we have multiple ways to relieve stress (especially when you do them with friends!). Also, it's so nice to see your channel grow! I've seen your videos on and off for a few months now, and to see that you've gotten the recognition you deserve is so satisfying. Congrats!!
I rarely see vlogs with storytelling as good as yours! I always feel inspired after watching your videos, especially as someone who is learning to make videos myself. Bouldering and rock climbing are so much fun - after I tried it, I was hooked. It such a good workout for the body but also the brain when you're working on the tougher problems 😛Congrats on the crazy growth on your channel btw! 🎉
I was surprised to see that you chose bouldering, bold move in my opinion. I respect that you went out of your comfort zone and dragged your friend to suffer along.
You have this natural talent for cinematography, and specifically lighting & composition. And then your videos are just so intellectually inspiring! You’ve created such a beautiful channel and series of videos.
Saw your vid w/Colt and that was sweet...God Bless NY for bringing ppl together! I clicked on this vid and-- you didn't even need to say a word... that slow pan at the beginning-- you got my sub. Keep on slaying it!
Whoa. 2nd video I've just watched on this channel. Soundtrack amazing. Interior aesthetics of your dwelling: SUPERB. Move over plain-wall, minimalist-to-a-fault cookie-cutter design, there's a new way to design an interior space. I have no idea what you even do, but this content is inspiring on a number of levels. The algorithm actually served me well today. Keep on keeping on! ❤🙏🔥✝
Hi Riza, I literally just discovered you about an hour ago and been binge watching your videos. I got to say, not a lot of youtubers have affected me the way you did, the energy you bring out is amazing and you make me feel like I can do amazing things too. I am looking forward for your next videos. Subscribed ✅️
Since I found your channel yesterday night while wondering why I really started doing whatsoever I am doing, I smile just watching you doing yours and just inspiring me to do me and forget about the reward. Thanks so much.
Riza, so happy to see your channel blowing up so fast these days 😄 yesterday I saw your channel had 78K or so, but today it is 88k 🤗 You deserve it girl! I found your channel two days ago and I was wondering why the algorithm has not recommended these beautiful videos to me sooner. Happy to see your videos reaching out to more people.
i just wanna say that i just discovered you the other day and your videos are so relaxing and feel like home. They motivate us they really do to go out there and do stuff beyond our comfort zone its good to have you! keep it up!
I just discover your channell lately and I am so fascinating the way you vlogging , we feel your creativity so deep but also your beautiful personality ! YOU GOT THIS GILR , xoxo
every single shot is so well thought out and often unexpectedly mesmerising just like an art film! (like the shot when you're lying on the couch then turn to the camera to start talking). I also love the perfectly crafted stories you make about life's imperfections and can't wait to see more!
These vlogs are like mini movies, I love it! I love bouldering and rock climbing, it's an awesome hobby. I mostly do it indoors too, but it's yet another experience climbing real rock outside. Totally recommended!
I randomly saw your channel being recommended to me, what made me click was just the simple title "For those who feel like giving up". And now I'm on my 5th video. I'm a youtube creator too, but a very different one from you. So your channel is very surprising to me in a great way. Seeing your personal take on everything is positively changing the way I see youtube and life. Much love from a new stranger. Keep doing this!
Can be very intense indeed. I feel like the search for creativity is on a continuous spectrum. Once we become comfortable it feels like a chore, then it’s, onto the next 😕😌✨
I'm glad i found your videos. Calming to wacth as an escape from the stress of everyday life. Escape that is not delusional and realistic. This video keeps me motivate me to overcome everyday life challanges!
Seems like you are better busy, experimenting, and seeking all the time>>>> Life of Riza = compilation of hobbies!! Like climbing a rock wall is an analogy.. 😉🤩🤩 MUCH strength, joy , and contentment you; thanks for loving to share!
This is something I’ve only realized this year, and I’ve been slowly getting into new hobbies. It’s been so fun to explore new hobbies, too! Reeeeeslly can relate to this video. Incredible work!
For such a non event of a story the presentation was absolutely outstanding. This is the perfect microcosm of the modern world. 0/10 for substance, 10/10 for style.
One of my biggest inspirations on here, about to hit a 100k. Always knew it would only be a matter of time before you started getting the recognition you deserve, and now the moment is here!!!
Sick intro, portraying the message, the quality is coming out of my screen. Unique to see when peopl dedicate sm time on these ideas. brings a different perspective to the lifestyle vids
Firstly, I really enjoy the style in which you craft your videos. Secondly, you nailed my current dilemma. I made videos for fun in high school, and then that turned into my job in college to post-college. I'm re-analyzing what hobbies I want to have that do not involve a screen! So glad RUclips recommended your channel today.
This channel is growing at an enormous rate. Just few hours ago it has 88K subs and now it has 100K subs. It is a very unique channel and I have never seen something like on RUclips. Thank you RUclips for recommending me this channel. Also congrats and thank you Roza for making such wonderful content and also thanks inspiring me to do something similar :). Edit: Congrats for 100K (lol I edited this comment so many times, but this is the last time)
Just wanna you to know that im just totally mesmerized with your everything (vibe, color, music, angles, storytelling..), which motivates me so much in creating my own film of my life. So keeps releasing more videos and share more about vlog production tips if you can. Thank you so much
thats kinda what im struggling too. im a comic artist, i used to post my comics alot on my fb page, but when it blew up and i became viral on internet, i started earning quite amount of money from it. but then i didnt feel like it anymore i dropped out everything cuz i was just a 16yo kid and it was too much to take. but now with a healthier mindset of a 19yo, hopefully i can comeback and be able to balance between my hobby and my career
one of your older videos was recommended on my feed, and dam i gotta say going through your videos i really like the style of how you film and seeing how its changed in ways over time. I am not a film/cinematography geek at all, but i do appreciate good scenes when i see em. Hope to see more great content from ya soon!
This is the first video of yours that I've watched and the way you edited this is amazing. It felt and looked so good. I'm really excited to watch more and binge your old videos!!
Your channel was just recommended to me and I’m soooo happy it was! Your videos are so refreshing and your storytelling is just so nice and soothing and real. I love that they’re aren’t long but I’d probably still watch if they were 🤭 but they are just nice nuggets to digest! 💙
truly time to go back to hobbies and activities I really dont want our generation to lose this and for sure with social media it can distract us or make us too tired to want to do things offline like run, sew, draw, paint, puzzles, reading etc. Plus reminder NO ONE has to be a pro at hobbies its for enjoyment
Honestly I always love your videos, but this one? It was so sincere and I'm amazed by how much you're growing and evolving. I hope you find a hobby, by the way, and have fun!!! Congratulations for being who you are ❤️
thank you! hobbies dont need to be side hustles, you can do and enjoy something just for the sake of it. Take say sailing as a hobby, can you make money from it? Sure. Races, videos, etc, etc. But it the SAILING still the focus, or has that changed? I would argue it is totally different. It is 100% ok to have a hobby, and not have any inclination or want to monetise it. Your work also doesnt need to be what you love (see above example), it can be what you do to pay for what you love
Oh my word…. it is insane how talented you are and yet still so different from everyone else. I am literally hooked on your videos. The style, the pacing, your use of sound and sound effects and even the way you make mini skits out of scenes of normal things like meeting up with your friend and such, absolutely incredible 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 it each video legitimately feels like watching a short film. Subscriber for life 🫡
Wow. Seeing this video directly after one from 2yrs ago is incredible to see how you have refined your style and comfort in front of the camera, as well as your talent behind the camera and prepping for each shot and mastering/editing. Bravo!
Stumbled upon your channel just a few days ago and captivated by your videos. Now I’m tripping out that you tried climbing! Stoked to hear you would do it again! It’s a whole new world/rabbit hole and a fun way of working out. Looking forward to more 🤘
Climbing is an awesome activity to do. Really challenging the upper muscles and the brain if you've got vertigo (like I do haha). I tried it the other day just like you. Super cool video, and it's always a pleasure to watch them, there is a quality inexplicably pleasing for the eye in your videos.
Instantly subscribed when RUclips recommended me your 'for those waiting for life to happen' video... love this new vid of yours! My hobbies are photography, playing football/video games with friends, and producing music sometimes. I realized how important having a hobby is in each of our lives, in a way it de-stresses our mind from the work that we've been doing the whole week lol. Work + Sleep is kinda boring and that made my burnout worse, Work + Sleep + Hobbies are what keeps the fire burning in me! 😁
1:45 Haha, THIS is so true, and the tendency for my brain to immediately theorize of ways I could monetize a hobby whenever I begin taking interest in it seems ever prevalent. I also attempt to quell the thought of needing to monetize and remember the importance of enjoying things for the sake of health and having fun.
as a climber, watching your friend being scared to let go was worrying me 😅😅😅😅 but im glad your trying something new! that's what ive been doing now too
I realized the importance of a hobby when I got a job. so many of my coworkers told me their everyday was: work-get home- do nothing- to bed- repeat.
Thats truth! it seems like a movie
It’s like a Stevie Emerson video but it’s educational rather than comedy. RUclips is becoming good
If you want more fun cinematography from cool people I’d recommend Jesse Driftwood and Evan Monsma here on YT!
I agree. Riza’s cinematography immediately captured my attention. It’s the best I’ve seen from any RUclips content creator. 💯
Whats the title of that video? I also climb haha
I love climbing! Challenges me mentally and physically and all around such a fun community of people
YES!!!! Climbing is an amazing hobby!
so proud of u and what you're doing on this platform!
thank you elle :’)🫶🏼
You inspired me riza. keep it up please.
So I wanted to get a few things out there and perhaps get to know if anyone feels the same...
A hobby is a thing that we "like" to do, like it brings up notions of peace, and relaxation...and overall good vibes. Like, they are things that we put effort into, and feel good about the effort we put in as well as the results we get.

shit, this just reminded me how much i loved climbing as a kid, idk why i ever stopped, it looks so fun and gives you the sense of accomplishment
Love to be a part of such a positive community
same I absolutely love it , I got tired of these ai generated mass produced content filling my recommendations and found this refreshing channel
love to have you here! 💓
@@Midnight_Gust yaa same
@@Midnight_Gust I just realised that the channel is so underrated I mean 6 years but glad to see it has a positive community

ANOTHER LIFE OF RIZA CLASSIC JUST DROPPED
Edit: Congrats for 100K (lol I edited this comment so many times, but this is the last time)
372K just to update today... 🎉. Glad the YT algorithm recommends me this awesome channel 🎉
Just wanna you to know that im just totally mesmerized with your everything (vibe, color, music, angles, storytelling..), which motivates me so much in creating my own film of my life. So keeps releasing more videos and share more about vlog production tips if you can. Thank you so much
thats kinda what im struggling too. im a comic artist, i used to post my comics alot on my fb page, but when it blew up and i became viral on internet, i started earning quite amount of money from it. but then i didnt feel like it anymore
i dropped out everything cuz i was just a 16yo kid and it was too much to take. but now with a healthier mindset of a 19yo, hopefully i can comeback and be able to balance between my hobby and my career
The way you do these films is incredible. Subscribed.
this side of youtube is just chef's kiss! 💚💚💚
Riza, your style is absolutely lovely. I love your messages that you share throughout your videos! 😊❤️
gotta say that im predicting your gonna be one of the biggest youtubers ever, literally so talented
so glad that the algorithm brings me here, you're truly inspiring Riza!! love from a french creative :)
one of your older videos was recommended on my feed, and dam i gotta say going through your videos i really like the style of how you film and seeing how its changed in ways over time. I am not a film/cinematography geek at all, but i do appreciate good scenes when i see em. Hope to see more great content from ya soon!
The intro for this video gives me such intense deja vu or nostalgia. (I'm not sure which word it's supposed to be.)
Good video.
This is the first video of yours that I've watched and the way you edited this is amazing. It felt and looked so good. I'm really excited to watch more and binge your old videos!!
i feel so relax even the bad things come. thank you ❤
Your channel is a goldmine of creative inspiration
Great Video, glad your videos popped up on my homepage. Everyone can benefit from hobbies and trying new things! Thanks for the inspiration.
Your channel was just recommended to me and I’m soooo happy it was! Your videos are so refreshing and your storytelling is just so nice and soothing and real. I love that they’re aren’t long but I’d probably still watch if they were 🤭 but they are just nice nuggets to digest! 💙
The type of videos I like and amazing cinematography. What a double whammy.
I totally loved that she spole about hobbies and tried finding one. Also putting in a video Loveettt😍
The cinematography, the personality... You got my sub immediately. Keep it up :)
truly time to go back to hobbies and activities I really dont want our generation to lose this and for sure with social media it can distract us or make us too tired to want to do things offline like run, sew, draw, paint, puzzles, reading etc.
Plus reminder NO ONE has to be a pro at hobbies its for enjoyment
Honestly I always love your videos, but this one? It was so sincere and I'm amazed by how much you're growing and evolving. I hope you find a hobby, by the way, and have fun!!!
Congratulations for being who you are ❤️
a masterpiece. so happy to see ur channel grow, riza 🥹
Hobbies are about inner peace, but what if inner peace is beyond reach?
thank you!
hobbies dont need to be side hustles, you can do and enjoy something just for the sake of it.
Your artistry is wonderful, your framing is just so... narrative. Love it. I should hobby too, dang!
Subscriber for life 🫡
Happy to say ive been here pre 10k subs!! so happy to see the insane growth and all the best for the future!!!
Me when it comes to writing. As a teenager, I wrote for myself as a hobby. And now, I’m writing part-time. I write poetry and screenplays
Wow. Seeing this video directly after one from 2yrs ago is incredible to see how you have refined your style and comfort in front of the camera, as well as your talent behind the camera and prepping for each shot and mastering/editing. Bravo!
Off the bat. I know we need hobbies. I just know. Love your work.
Your editing was mesmerizing, that it transcends time. Five minutes seemed like one hour but in a good way.
1:45 Haha, THIS is so true, and the tendency for my brain to immediately theorize of ways I could monetize a hobby whenever I begin taking interest in it seems ever prevalent. I also attempt to quell the thought of needing to monetize and remember the importance of enjoying things for the sake of health and having fun.
as a climber, watching your friend being scared to let go was worrying me 😅😅😅😅
but im glad your trying something new! that's what ive been doing now too
