What i really enjoy about this apart from classic wow clears is that, this is about doing the fights right not fast. Sure i can see the fun in going all world-buffs, consumes, items and what not to clear it as fast as possible. But that is only what top top guilds can do and they will only be able to it once. For me a casual this seems more relateable.
Naxx 40 had the coolest weapons and armor designs, like Dreadnought set, Severance 2H axe, your shield, etc
dont forget the corrupted ashbringer!
God I miss raiding, vanilla wow was some of the most fun I've had in my entire life. From ZG to MC, BWL and then AQ just having 40 friends nowadays seems like an impossibility. Being an adult fuckin blows. Would trade it all for another shot at 15.
Those were the days.. coming back home and then logging on and be in the same raid with 40 other friends who are committed to the same course. Had a tonn of fun outside of the raids as well and on discord lol.
After almpst one year, i get this masterpiece of a video.
And i still remember my guild did first 2 bosses of spider wing, and the 1 first bos of every wing.
The dude that yells out the loot after every kill never failed to make me laugh, lol. Solid run and guild. Great job.

Everytime I see a classic raid movie on youtube, even if it's a different guild, the raid leader sounds like he is from Texas.

Man this brings back so much memories, I remember doing Naxx40 with my guild on Perenolde-US. Been playing since 2004 and still going strong into BFA Launch.
That's awesome! I played diablo 2 still in 2004, the ads for wow got me curious. My friends were playing it then, so I finally started beginning of summer 2005 and was so fun lol. Lightbringer for me, Paladin. I haven't played BFA though, maybe some day I will resub again

I can’t even imagine the amount of trial and error that it took for the first guilds to figure out The Four Horseman fight...

The big difference is that these players have vanilla raiding down to a science where they’ve had over a decade to refine their skill on private servers to the point where private servers artificially increase difficulty / nerf just to compensate.

how much frost resistance does everyone have in avg in this run? how much would you guys recommend? would you recommend when trying saph for the first time to just use green gear without stats or wait for runes to craft the equip?
In this specific raid, everyone had outstanding frost resistance gear, full crafted stuff. But the first weeks youre not gonna have that stuff. You can kill sapphiron with the green resist pieces its just going to be alot harder.
I'd highly recommend trying to get to 150 ish unbuffed frost resistance if possible. In some cases losing all the stats on your normal gear won't be worth putting on another 15 resistance though. This is something the healers will have to juggle.
@@BaronCstrikeGaming was thinking about to just use frost res rings + ingi trinkets for the first saph kills until everyone have the crafted gear. Do you think that would be possible? Imo the green gear lacks to much stats +dmg. What's ur take?
Excited for classic, but If you see the trend of private servers, which this is, each phase of vanilla (mc/ony...zg/bwl/green dragons...aq20&40...naxx) are generally cleared within 1 raid lock...naxx possibly being the only exception due to the gear check, but still ridiculously fast(after max level is attained initially, obviously)... so you’ll probably see guilds like this coming in and dominating the game extremely quickly because they’ve practiced it over and over. Although I’m assuming from what I’ve read that the phases will be spread out on a timeline almost identical to the original. So naxx shouldn’t be released for about 18-20 months give or take after the servers open.
Patchwerk, our guild even after many times are far from downing him in less than 5 min. This raid looks easy because they have really high gears, but of course they are good players understand their role and connection is not as random as we used to have
You guys make it look too easy. Hope everyone is mindful that it takes a dedicated group farming end game content and more for months if not over a year to go in here and melt this raid like this. This is an exceptional group doing an exceptional job. This isn't WotLK Naxx. Gear/itemization, resistance gear, composition, and consumables need to be on point. If you're in here hating on the game or the players, you clearly have no idea what it takes to get to this point. Most players can't and won't get to this level.
Thank you sir, and yes, we were clearing Naxx for around 5 or 6 weeks before we were able to do a full clear with no wipes. KT has alot of things that can go wrong, easy to wipe to him even with experience.
Classic is completely trivial in difficulty, not even close to mechanical requierements needed in retail today to be fair.
Becuase it was easy. This is roughly retail's LFR level.

Yea would be great at not being able to kill anything because you are a prot warrior.
We don't see many prot warriors in BG even though strategically speaking they are a great asset.

WoW was so good back in the days. Think about things like swapping for kel thuzad to ur resistans gear and stuff like that. So nice we need it back and we get it back best feeling there is
This was when you had to be a legit player to raid. God I miss those days. We only made it through about half of Naxx before expansion and I felt accomplished as hell. You may have gotten 4 piece of loot but this was when loot was a noticeable upgrade to your character. I remember chasing a full dreadnaught warrior carrying the flag in WSG with about 8 people and couldn't take him down like 20% lol Couldn't help but clap and be impressed cuz you knew what it took to get there.
Exactly, you either had it and you raided hardcore, or you didn't and you improved yourself so you could - or you were just a scrub, none of this dumbing down the game so everybody gets free legendaries shit.
Can't wait for classic wow after watching this.

pretty sure it's a private server where legendary and epic items and drops are a lot easier to attain

You have to view the difficulty for Raids in its timeline. You can't compare mythic Tomb of sargeras etc with Naxx 40 etc.
Cant wait to do naxx again. Only got to do it in wrath.

My gear for tanking always varied a great deal depending on alot of different factors. Is threat a problem, how do the mobs hit me, do they stun, do they deal alot of magic dmg or all physical, how many healers are there, do we have world buffs, etc. Too many to name.
Some advice I can give you, try to aim for 7% hit or so for threat gear or if you can get it without losing too much survivability, you could go for 9%, also use full dps comsumes. It really just depends on the boss and what gear you have.
You have to hold aggro and you have to stay alive, both are important and a requirement, therefore you must balance your gear to achieve both.

Confirmed by Blizzard that private servers had resist values and armor values on bosses in raids wrong.
ye lol this whole video is bullshit from free server with wrong or increased rates, you really couldnt clear whole naxx in 4 hours with no world buffs and with no wipes back then lol...
@@zdenek3057 the funny realisation is that private servers actually overturned raids because of the memory of it being so difficult, when naxx releases on classic it will be full cleared in 6-12 hours from release.

Thats still Vanilla my man, lol. I started in Vanilla, made it to 40 or so, quit. Then came back after they announced TBC and got to 60 like a week before TBC launched. If anyone asks, I played Vanilla.

Thank you sir, glad you enjoyed. As I've said before, vanilla is not for everyone, as for the haters, who knows what their motivations are. Very simple, if they dont like it, dont play it. Plenty of loot boxes for them in BFA.

interesting shield selection, do you find the proc to be that impactful with the TF for holding aoe threat?
I use force reactive disc for the skitterer packs in spider wing. They hit hard enough where I want a shield on anyways and the aoe damage helps some

Is this a fury/prot hybrid spec? All the gear and weapon swapping is making me so confused.
In this video I was a full fury spec, 17 / 34 / 0. For some fights I dps, for some fights I tank. For some fights I'll need full mitigation gear, for some fights I'll need threat gear. It's part of vanilla knowing how you should gear for each encounter as a tank.
dont worry about what trash players on private servers with incorrect values on bosses are doing.

Casters start off a little slow due to bad itemization, but when ZG and BWL come around, they have access to spell hit gear and perform alot better. Warlock is one of the highest dps classes endgame.

At that gear level is there a point in going a protection based build? I've never tanked as fury, but then again I've never had gear even close to that lol.
Theres a couple different builds tanks use. During almost all of Naxx I just tanked as full fury though. Can go Bloodthirst / Defiance, but you don't get Tact mastery. I still think the MT should be 31 Prot though. A few bosses hit extremely hard.
naxx requiring so many tanks how many tanks in the raid constitute "main tank" then? I can see if you have a dedicated MT as prot for the worst hits is necessary, but you look like you MT as fury in some situations hahaha. What's the split between prot tanks and fury tanks that y'all use?
Its good to have at least 1, but no more than 2 Prot warriors for Naxx. Sapphiron, Loatheb are 2 fights where the tank needs good mitigation and also KT. Also, there are certain fights where threat is a problem, these are the fights I would generally tank as fury. Thunderfury and deathwish can generate some nice aggro. Towards the end I was dual wield tanking Thaddius lol.

For our progression kill we had all 8 respec prot. But after the first kill we switched to only 2 prot, had the fury's stay Fury.

so every fireball dot takes a debuff slot from each mage as well as deep wounds from a warrior? Are those dots the 1st to get overwritten
It does, but it, like deep wounds are of the lowest priority debuffs. This means if you demo shout or drop a curse on the boss, and there isn't debuff space, fireball and deep wounds will be the first to be replaced with the more important debuff.
@@BaronCstrikeGaming so if there r 16 buffs a fireball/deep wound debuff wont go on the boss i assume.
I was also wondering if you were running with 3 ds/ruin locks and 2 sm/ruin locks if the debuffs go somewhat like this.
1st ds ruin - Curse of elements
2nd ds ruin - curse of shadows
3rd ds ruin - curse of recklessness
1st sm ruin - (amp curse with agony 3/3 talented for 18 secs) then just casts corruption for nightfall and doesn't agony anymore till amp curse is up)
2nd sm ruin - curse of weakness (3/3 talented) or if curse of weakness isnt worth it, he can just do the same as the 1st sm ruin lock.
If there is space, 1 lock could corruption, it's rare there would be more than 1 or 2 open slots. And yes, that's how it works, if there are 16 higher priority debuffs on a mob, fireball or deep wounds will not be applied.
@@BaronCstrikeGaming oh ok ty I guess its just better for only 1 lock to be sm/ruin since ds/ruin does more dmg so one corruption slot.
Isn't that also quite a fair bit of DPS for a tank as well?
If you're going off my dps meter, I didn't have my combat log fixed, it was only gathering data on players within 30 yds. So it isn't accurate for fights with long distance.

i play wow back in the days i was in a solid guild with good full progress on naxx... it was worth the time? hell fucking yeah, it is nostalgic, and people saying that it is not hard mechanics, its not but it was a pain in the ass to get all the consumables potions and proper gear to do it and thats the fun part of the game and that part is lost now days that was the core of wow that you have full control over your character stats... will it do it again? probably not cause im older and dont have time like i had back in those days...

Excited for Vanilla because it will mean the game i fell in love with will come back in it's true form (I was level 45 when BC came out, so i started in vanilla but didnt really experience vanilla endgame.) AND also because hopefully the inevitable mass exodus of retail players logging intto Classic will finally get the clueless Activision execs and shareholders who are apparently calling the creative directing shots at Blizzard these days to realize that: THE PEOPLE WANT A REAL MMO. THEY STILL WANT IT. THEY DONT WANT THIS DUMBED DOWN RNG BULLSHIT WITH NO SPELLS, NO SKILL, and NO CONTENT. Fuck.

The razuvious adds have alot of health, so after razuvious dies, they take like 1000% increased damage. I guess blizzard could have just had them despawn also.
