Is the Mini Paceman a hatchback? A coupé? A 4x4? Or all three? The Paceman is the seventh model to join the Mini range. It's Mini's answer to cars like the Nissan Juke and Range Rover Evoque, with eye-catching styling and plenty of options for personalisation. There are petrol Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper Works versions - or a choice of efficient diesels. We tried the Cooper S at the launch in Spain. Авто/Мото
I live in a country where all wheel drive is a must for winter, and since the hatch or the clubman don't offer ALL4 variants, and the Countryman is for families (i'm single), the Paceman for me makes a lot of sense.
love this car!!!
I wanted a mini, but I'm 6ft5 and it's all in the back *sad face, the hatch is just too small, I drove both back to back, both felt good, I still had 2 inches of head room in the paceman and I could squeeze behind myself (just) 0_0, the paceman was the one for me. Went for a used JCW, it's great and survived the snowpocolypse of 2018 xD
Alex my girlfriend is 6ft 6 and she was also worried about the room in a Paceman. We tried it and she was absolutely fine in there with space left. They are quite a big car aren't they? Nice little car all round actually. I enjoy driving it as well.
Beautiful car!
It's a crossover coupe - compromises both worlds in the name of style. You buy this car with your heart not your head. It's not for everyone, I can see it's looks being like marmite.
However, owning a Cooper S myself and knowing how awful the practicality is - this is a step up. There's enough room for rear passengers vs the hatch which forces the front passengers to squish themselves up against the dash and the boot space looks to be decently average.
Compare this to the hatch which has a boot volume roughly equivalent to a large suitcase on its side (when I travel my case fills the whole boot perfectly)
Maybe someday I'll consider swapping my hatch for one of these.
I love this car and I’ve had it now for 2 years. It’s very big and chunky when driving it which I like. Great car and plenty of room.
Makes total sense once you come to live in a country where it snows from November to April and 4WD is a big plus, a country with such tight parking spaces you don't want anything bigger than a Mini. You guessed right, Switzerland (applies to Austria and a couple others too)!
Over sensitive steering???
I disagree -- so many people want an All4 that is cute fun peppy and easy to park around the city
getting in to the back there's enough space for a toll child and a short man
Countryman?Paceman?dont know
Closing statement summed it up. A good review of a strange car. As if the Countryman wasn't ugly enough - this appears.
Pointless that’s what makes a fun car :)
Not a true report!
I agree with you. It's a kind of pointless.
Simply pointless vehicle. I'm also tired of doors coming up to chin height.
A perfect description of most of the SUV/crossover vehicles today.
How come it is so ugly?
It’s gorgeous in real life
Pointless. Perfect word for it.
