My jigsaw came with clear plastic inserts that snap in to prevent the wood splinters . You could even see through it for a few seconds. It’s a Bosch and very old . Has the black plastic piece to tighten the blade but I preferred the earlier model that required a screwdriver to change blades
My old AEG (i thinks it from the 70s) has the same feature for the splinters.
I prefare the mechanism with a screwdriver/Hex key too because it normally holds more tight then one of the newer lock systems.
Great ideas 💡 appreciate the advice
Hope you have good results.
Thanks for watching.😄👍
Table saw idea was fantastic 👌🏻🫡
Thank you for a good look.
I hope you are always full of good things 😁👍
@@HANDY369-TIPS I'll won't compo if I lose my fingers
You missed an important one; How to start a cut in the middle of a board without a hole to insert the blade into.
Outstanding! Thank you. New subscriber.
Nice to meet you, subscriber.
Hope every day is full of happiness😁👍
Sweet!!! I'll remember this!!
thank you Your comment is a great gift for me. I hope you are always full of good things 😁👍
As a Master carpenter and Joiner O.N.C AND H.N.C now retired, I waited patiently to see what "Nobody Knows" I was not surprised not to see anything we have not known or used before. There are many ways to stop splintering and each pro has his favoured way. Also do realise folks although cutting a straight cut with a jigsaw is of course possible the machine is principally designed and made to cut curves, circles and shapes. Any "straight" cut is liable to wander and deviate, and of course the right blade for the right job is essential.
I fully agree with what you are saying.
Choosing the right tool for the purpose is very important.
But my laziness makes me look for a quicker and easier way.
Most of them regret it, but very occasionally they find a better way.😁
Thank you teacher for your valuable comments. I hope you are always full of good things.😁👍
THANK U 4THIS INFO!! WAS WONDERIN WHY I HAD PROBS W/STRAIGHT BUT ○'s NOT SO MUCH. THX AGAIN! Think I'll have 2 invest in a small, liteweight, 'beginner's circular saw!
Thanks for your interest in my video. I hope you are always full of good things 😁👍
thank you 😊
Thanks for watching the video. I hope you are always full of good things. 😁👍
Great! 👍 cool! 😎😎
stanley's jigsaw and the dewalt's model have the same parents. even the color scheme. best one i've had....
I totally agree with what you said.
I hope you are always full of good things. 😁👍
Bosch for the win
Stanley bought DeWalt, then merged with Black & Decker, so all are likely made in the same factory, just with different color schemes. They also own the Craftsman brand, Porter Cable, and Irwin.
I learned some new things thank you
I'm glad you found it helpful. I hope you are always full of good things 😁 👍
From a DIYer of many many years standing, it just goes to show that you can teach an old dog new tricks. Thanks.
すばらしい。凄い。

The umpteen-thousandth re-invention of the wheel ...
Wow, that drill bit built into the saw is an amazing hidden feature
Супер! 👍
Ви благодарам Се надевам дека сте секогаш полни со добри работи 😁 👍
Neat tip thanks
Thanks for your interest in the video. I hope you are always full of good things 😁 👍
Wow!
😁😁😁👍👍👍thanks for watching
Nice tips. Thank you for making & sharing your video. God[Bible] Bless.
Thank you for your valuable comments that make me feel better. I hope you always have only good things 😄👍
LOL. there is a lever on the side of the saw which helps prevent splintering that the makers put on. It restricts the vibration of the blade.
Yeah, I know. This is called the orbital function.
Nice!
Thank you for watching the video and for writing valuable comments.
I hope you are always full of good things. 😁
Excellent
Thank you for your short but strong valuable comment. I hope you are always full of good things😁👍
Yes that breakout splintering does spoil the job. I will try masking tape on a sample piece of plywood tomorrow.
Hot damn. I’m learning.👍🇺🇸subbed.👍👍
Thank you for watching. I hope you always have only good things 😄👍
Try a downcut blade .
Thx 4INFO!!
Does the tape trick work with router ?
I'm curious too. 🤔🤔
I'll have to experiment with tools that do rotary motion. If successful, we will make it into a video. Thanks for your interest in the video. I hope you are always full of good things 😁 👍
Put styro-foam underneath and you can cut safely and easily anywhere. Started when I had to to do cursive lettering.😢
Works the same with a circular saw.
Thank you for your valuable advice.
I'll definitely try it next time.
I hope you are always full of good things 😁👍
Now that's a REAL Good Typ!
THX 4 INFO!!
You can wallpaper. It also makes a good Frappe mixer. You can cut a birthday cake. It is also good for cutting ice cream. Great for removing stubborn tires. Make a great paint mixer. You can power a generator with it. Any other ideas? Disabling bicycles left in driveway. You can edge a lawn with it. 😅😊
@@duanemoran2868 Supi, vielen Dank für diese Extra-Skills😅😅😁😁👍👍
Not putting your saw on the orbital setting will save you from a lot of tearout.
Thank you for your valuable advice.
I'll refer you to it.
I hope you are always full of good things 😁👍
Somebody does!
The last one is my straight cut 😳
methods are definitely good for masking tape sales.......
You do know the jigsaw comes with a zero clearance insert for just this reason…
It was the first time I knew that zero inserts were provided. I have made and used it. I would appreciate it if you could tell me which product it is 😄👍
Yes, kindly repost with more info on the Dewalt carro clearance insert. I need one for my saw.
Mostly they are known as anti-splintering inserts. They will vary with the manufacturer of the saw and also quality/price of the saw.
Yea ..I knew that.
Hey here’s an idea, use correct blade and not splinters.
Of course I know. It even has blades for clean cuts. Also, even if you don't have such a blade, you can cut cleanly by cutting slowly in orbital mode.
This video demonstrates that you can make clean cuts without those tools.
Thanks for your interest in the video. I hope you are always full of good things. Luck will come to you when you smile😁👍
@@HANDY369-TIPS using the correct blade will go way further in project execution than these ideas you call hidden features.
Should have made a tiny push stick for the table saw'
What's the real difference between a jigsaw and a saber-saw?
A saber saw can cut thick wood quickly, and a jigsaw can cut thin wood precisely.
@@HANDY369-TIPS Plus you can use the reciprosaw for deconstruction and gardenwork
Hidden features...yes it cuts wood!
Thanks for your interest in the video. I hope you are always full of good things. Luck will come to you when you smile😁👍
The under table jigsaw seems a little dangerous.
Need to use a foot pedal off/on switch just for safety.
That's a good comment.
I will be sure to refer to it.
I hope you are always full of good things 😁👍
@@HANDY369-TIPS I try to be helpful with anybody I can. It's a good thing to learn from somebody else's mistakes so it won't happen to you and learn the hard way.
i guess everybody knows now!
When do you get to the part "no one knows"? My 15 year old Festool jigsaw has a zero clearance insert system and a bench top mode...
Sounds like an egotistical tool slut to me.
Not all of us can drop a weeks income on basic tools, and further, are just getting in to woodworking. This was a very helpful video.
Your comment however…..
Very impressive video for using a $50 saw, with an aggressive blade at 10%, the festool price 👍 😀 👌
I didn't know festool had those features, so that was a bonus as well !
wow, something makes me feel better. 😁😁 Thank you.
I hope you are always full of good things.

NOBODY KNOWS THE TROUBLE I'VE SEEN
Thanks for your interest in the video. I hope you are always full of good things. Luck will come to you when you smile😁👍
You must be new to woodworking,we know this from years ago
Didn't see any hidden features, just hacks...
He states they are hacks in his description of the video.
You must be new here
The screw holes in the bottom seemed hidden to me
Didn't see anything "nobody knows", either.
Thanks for your interest in the video. I hope you are always full of good things. Luck will come to you when you smile😁👍
User manuals are handier than a forked stick.
I knew you could do that with a jigsaw.
Well I didn’t! Very good tutorial.
Thanks for your interest in the video. I hope you are always full of good things 😁👍
Get a down cut blade?
so where was the hidden feature of the jigsaw? not one of those was a feature of the jigsaw, not a single 1
Thanks for your interest in the video. I hope you are always full of good things. Luck will come to you when you smile😁👍
First hack…just score it with a razor knife..
Really, you start out with the zero insert mentality then you drill out a hole to make the upside down contraption when you could have sawn an inch past the hole before screwing it down to have another zero clearance solution.
No body knows only you right…🤣😂🦆🦆
yeah.
fall on that and it'll be comfy wont it
he who uses a tool not as it was intended or must bear the consequences
there was reason why the blade was tucked away outof site
IT WAS SAFER
Hey, you need to get that line under your thumbnail checked out by a dermatologist if you haven’t already. It could be nothing, but it also could be very serious. Please Google it. Thx.
get so many misunderstandings. 😅😅
It came about when he was 7 years old when he was playing with a friend in the neighborhood and got his finger hit by a stone thrown by him. But it doesn't go away. 😁👍 Thank you for your concern.
I hope you are always full of good things. 😁
where's the part that I didn't know?
The part where you stop watching
I'm impressed.😢😢 Thank you. 😄👍
Lane
So, if "nobody knows" is this AI generated and published
I wouldn’t even use a jigsaw for a cut like that first one and I would use my bandsaw or table saw instead of trying to hang a jig saw upside down
I respect the teacher's opinion.
As you said, there are tools that fit the purpose. This video was meant to show you that you can do many things with a jigsaw.
Thanks for your interest in the video. I hope you are always full of good things 😁👍
Dont see anything nobody doesn't already know....
I didn't see a single hidden feature! It was titled "nobody knows you can do this" and i knew you could do all of it as did the person who made the vid, so that's at least 2 people. I'm sure there are many millions more who do.
Stop it mr no it all whats your channel
😄👍 You are cool.
I'm sorry, are you suggesting that i can not comment on other peoples inaccuracy unless i have a youtube channel of my own??
My apologies if you are offended by the inaccurate title. Since it's a channel that just started, I'm trying to get some attention.
The title may be inaccurate, but this is a video that I did my best to contemplate, film, and edit.
I hope you can kindly understand. 😅
May you always be full of good things
Not offended just disappointed there was nothing in the vid i didn't know. Good luck with your new endeavour.
Ridiculous , use the proper tool and you won't get tear out .

Why aren’t you talking?
That was a joke !!!
Love that I didn’t have to listen to some guy chatter on before and between each demonstration
If you use the correct blade for the application you will not get tear out

Lol is that a Dewalt paddle pop stick
Buy some down cutter blades same results
Number one, that’s not a jigsaw! It’s is in fact a Sabre saw!
In the sentient world it’s a jigsaw.
Why can’t you talk
The title and description of this channel are translated into more than 40 languages around the world. So I am not talking.😁👍
Wow!
