Tori Amos is a goddess. She masters writing, composing, piano playing, singing and carrying emotion with her lyrics and performances far beyond human capabilities. I discover her music in 92 and I think I'm still in love. To see how great she is with a group, take a look at Precious Things (live session 1998)
Tori Amos is an authentic powerhouse. There are few female artists who pack the musicality, emoptionality, virtuosity, performance, and true raw talent.
The best way to experience Tori is to view the live performances in the 90s and early 00s. She has a guitarist with her in 96 & a full band starting in 98 with the absolute best bassist & drummer. Lots of great concert footage from her peak era. She's still at it, mind you. Those times were iconic, though. She is a living vessel for pure art through music, confronting the patriarchy & religion & backstabbing friends, also exploring shadow work & sexuality through a blunt lens at times. She sees music, so was able to play back what she heard at a young age & started attending a prestigious classical music school on scholarship at age 5. I could gush for hours. Just, if you start exploring, don't forget the b-sides. They're often only b-sides because they didn't fit the flow or she didn't have room for everything. Or, like Cooling (her best song), it told her to fuck off. 😂 All her songs are girls, btw, with personalities & attitudes. They sometimes evolve over time. Crucify, for example. Both the melody & lyrics have been altered or added to over the years multiple times.
I saw her in the early 80 s in a small theater in Cambridge Mass with perfect acoustics. I was a rather hardcore rocker/ punk but after a while I realized I had tears running down my face and had for a while. She was so exquisite in her performance, voice, piano and her lyrics, treat yourself to more of her work. ☮️
Ace! I am sooooo looking forward to you reacting to more Tori Amos. She is the only artist I have seen twice in concert. The whole audience is usually hypnotized by her performances. Thanks again! 🥰🥰🥰
Glad you got to experience Tori. She is something very special. Her music is so honest, raw and very metaphoric. Lyrics like poems. Its hard for me to listen to hear alot because she overflows your emtions and thoughts. A true one of a kind artist.

Love Tori ❤
Tori is an amazing performer. A triple threat. Singer, songwriter, and pianist. You don't see a lot of that.

Check out her first album "Little Earthquakes". You will not be disappointed. I still have my original cd and it is in my music apps.
AMAZING PERFORMANCE! WOW!
Does not get better than this! 😍
Here are some other great songs by Tori - Silent All These Years, China, Take To the Sky, A Sorta Fairytale.
Please listen to all of her music from her original album. She is one of the most talented artists in my lifetime.
I would recommend Tori Amos- “Precious Things live session 1998”.
Her live performances just outdo her studio versions.
She has a huge selection of songs. Enjoy learning about her. Check out Waitress, Crucify, Silent After All these Years, Toast, Cornflake Girl …..
