The same quality that makes you broke makes you have kids w/o reasonable caution with money. Lack of planning, impulsive, does what feels good in the moment.
@@whitneyw.7919 Hmm. I over-analyze things and I don’t like taking risks. I don’t like doing anything without knowing the outcome. Therefore, I am single with no children. Good lord, he needs a better job or she just needs to work, to be that old and not even making 40K is pretty sad! I think they both need to get decent careers FIRST and then pay off all the debt, AND then worry about starting a business!! They bought a 9 year old Tahoe for 25K, poor choices are being made!! At his age he should be making at least 70K!
Some places in the U.S. don’t require that much to live a comfortable life. I’m 28 my wife and I combined make 45k a year. We love our jobs and have a ton of flexibility. We have no credit cards, we are working towards paying off our vehicle and we have a little money in savings for emergencies. Once the vehicle is paid off that frees up about 5k a year not including the extra we are throwing at it. It can be done on lower income it just takes the ability to be intentional with your money. living in one of those areas that is not insanely overpriced is a big part of it obviously. Also knowing how to fix things yourself helps.
Move to Iowa or something. There are only two components of the equation: income and expenses. If you can’t get income up, your expenses HAS TO go down.
This might seem too radical, but they should probably move to South America. Living expenses will be a fraction of what they are in the US. Not sure what he'd do for work there, but he could probably find something.
He is financially illiterate as well. Unfortunately, these are the people who had the majority of children in the country, poor people with no education.
4 kids?!?! He’s sunk. There’s no coming back from this. All the talk about cars and extra jobs and side hustles and career changes is dumb when there’s four kids in the picture.
Worse yet he is only 32, if he (husband) or she (wife) or they don't get fixed, there could be even more children, and they can't afford the ones they have!
@@Primitive_Code Do you know what daycare costs? For one child it is not worth putting mom in the work force as the money that would have come from working would be small after you pay for daycare, three kids they would be going into debt to pay for child care because her income would not cover it. They need to figure it out but daycare is not the road to solve that problem. BTW why are you so hateful?
@@fhuber7507 The two oldest are at school, so it's only the 3rd that needs childcare. Even working minimum wage, you'll make more than the cost of childcare for one child. If you use grandparents for some of it or get a job in the evening when their father is home, you can easily make much more than the cost of childcare. The fact that there is another baby on the way in two months is a problem. (Condoms are cheap...) It might make sense to wait until the new baby is six months old before she gets a job. But she's going to need to get a job sooner or later.
He doesn’t know why he doesn’t have money then says he makes $40k, bought a truck for $15k +41% interest and a car for $25k. Gol-LY. I hope they work their way out of this but I worry about the lack of critical thinking.
No doubt the economy is tough right now and even those who try are struggling. But in my 52 years on the planet there are 3 major reasons for poverty. #1 -- substance abuse (alcohol & drugs). #2 -- getting in trouble with the law. And finally, #3 -- having many kids. See humans have an unlimited amount of love to give BUT like it or not, we have a finite amount of time and money! [And that is a fact. You can argue with me all you want but it doesn't change that there is a lot to do and there are only 24 hours in day and unless your last name is Bezos you have limited resources]
The numbers on his truck don't work. $15,000 at 41% interest is $512.50 in interest a month. His monthly payment is less than the interest. That can't be right. I'm guessing that was 41% APR, not 41% interest. There was probably a large up front fee that is being included in the APR. It's a massive rip off whatever it is...
Start profiting from landscaping. That will bring in 20k more annually. Make the wife work part time or work from home job. That’s another 20k at least and boom problem solved
I get it's Alabama, but $40k a year with a stay at home wife and essentially 4 kids is not doable. She either has to go to work or he needs to make more. To be honest she probably be better off divorcing him and having the government be the kids dad
If the mother can work a different shift from husband. That would be great!!! Or start watching maybe 2 or 3 kids a week charge 200 or more each child depending where you live at Could charge more. That is 1600- 2400 a month add. The wife is paying off both vehicles . And the husband build his business up. And pay off the rest of debt. Get a savings together and move forward. And also ask yourself am I’m in the right state the city to make the money for my family.
These people need to start using condoms and other forms of birth controls. They will be a family of 6 soon enough, but they can’t afford to become a family of 7.
Car salesmen who meet a person like this, see their debt load, and still sell them a loan like this are positively diabolical. (Yes he's a grown man but that's insanity on behalf of the car dealership)
Because some things are more important than rockin' a house and a boat. I know a lot of people who live in very low cost areas, make 50k a year and have 5 kids and still make all their ends meet. People who refuse to have children because they think they "can't afford them" are missing the mark.
Yep. Having kids in this day and age on such a low income was not a good idea. Then having the wife stay home with the kids wasn’t a great decision either. She needs to work part time or night time.
@thejakelegion yeah some things are more important... like being able to afford giving your child an at least middle income life. Theres more to having a kid than popping one out. How about some financial planning first?
The kids are not the problem, neither is the stay at home mom. It's the other decisions with money are bad. We have 4 kids, i stay at home he makes 48 a year and we lack for nothing.
At 0:42- Dr. John- "You gotta make more money, brother." Well DUH! Reminds me of a scene on "Big Bang Theory" where Sheldon said basically the same to Penney in his classic clueless fashion! Penney deadpan replies- "Yes, it occurs to me, too!"
Don’t get me wrong this guy is not the example to follow but some people can make it on less than 40k a year. Not everyone wants to be a millionaire by the time they are 40. I personally just want to live a comfortable debt free life and have flexibility in my day to day. I’m putting a little money in a Roth IRA so hopefully everything keeps working like it is and I can retire with enough to live on. That’s the goal that some have in life. To comfortably enjoy life.
The wife needs to get a side hustle, she can do work from home customer service or teach English online. I disagree with John telling she needs to go back to work full time though. Once they get done paying childcare for 4 kids her salary would be gone.

It's really heartbreaking to see how inflation and recession impact low-income families. The cost of living keeps rising, and many struggle just to meet basic needs, let alone save or invest. It's a reminder of the importance of finding ways to create financial opportunities. You've helped me a lot sir Jihan! Imagine i invested $50,000 and received $190,500 after 14 days
As a beginner in this, it’s essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable.

Too much family too little money
They can’t say it, but I will. You can’t continue having kids when you don’t have money. What do you mean that you have a two year-old and then a seven month pregnant wife making 40 grand a year?
Birth control is cheaper than kids but I bet he won't do that
Right i still don’t understand why they are so afraid to admit that
Go away
Well the kids are here so there's no going back on that. So telling them to not have them is ridiculous. This is an income issue.
That don't make any sense at all. Seems like they doing u know what more than working and making money
Why is the wife not working? And why did they have kids that they can't afford? Having 4 kids is utterly ridiculous for what he's earning.
Poverty works better than honey packs and viagra combined.
4 kids with $40k income.... That's $6,600 a year for each member of the family. Yea, condoms should be forced upon some people 😂🤣
But but but.... that's FAAAAAAAAAAASCISUUUUUUUUUMMMMM! *sarcasm*
Bought a truck at 41% interest? He's an idiot. That's the Buy-here/Pay-here lot saying: "You can't afford this, so we'll charge it's value as a down payment and then screw you on interest."
He digs his current gig.
It seems he wants to know how he can keep doing the same things but get a different result 😆
Digging a grave is his fave.👻
Dude needs a new job and make more money. He needs a job that pays more. Dude says he is "pinching pennies"then is out buying a truck at 21% interest rate.
She can get a job in the evening after he comes home at night. At least enough to cover groceries.
He needs his truck for landscaping. He needs to refinance out of that higher rate and keep it to grow the landscaping business.
I make $60k as a single guy in Las Vegas. The emphasis being on "single".
I'm sure you're celibate 🙄
Very glad to have found your channel! Your videos are an example of how to make quality content. Keep it up 🏹🤗🧸
Thats why you are living paycheck to paycheck. Making under 40k in 2024, married, stay at home wife, three kids, two bonehead cars. What you expect?
Man, he doubled and tripled down on bad decision after bad decision. Glad he called in for advice; hope it was a wake up call to turn things around! He has plenty of time on his side to fix his life!
8% interest loan on a used car is pretty good?!! This poor guy is out of touch.
No money, make kids. FFS🎉
41% interest rate? Wow I didn’t know that go up that high.
No wonder he combined the numbers together when Jade asked him about the value of the cars and what is owed on them. He sounded like a weasel. Someone who will not face the truth is never going to straighten things out.
@@genxx2724not a weasel 😂😂😂
There's a sucker born every minute.
I originally misheard and thought he said 21% which I already thought was awful. 41% is just insane
I wonder if that is legal
I feel like the brokest people have the most kids!
The same quality that makes you broke makes you have kids w/o reasonable caution with money. Lack of planning, impulsive, does what feels good in the moment.
The movie made called Idiocracy is fitting here
@@whitneyw.7919 Hmm. I over-analyze things and I don’t like taking risks. I don’t like doing anything without knowing the outcome. Therefore, I am single with no children. I wanted a husband and children, but I didn’t see guys acting like they were going to step up and be husbands and fathers. I was petrified of the prospect of winding up, divorced with kids and not enough money, so with all of the things I’ve described being the case, here I am single. And when I was in my 20s and 30s, we were told not to let guys know that we wanted to get married, because it was scare them away. Now with social media and the term “define the relationship” out there, it looks like things have really changed. Maybe not, because there are also all of those sicko red pill channels out there. Maybe the extremes have just become more extreme.
It’s the only entertainment they can afford
I know. The more the caller talked the more I felt the stress. No savings, no retirement, making $40k, married, three kids and one in the oven, stay at home mom, two stupid decisions cars. This almost sounds made up it is so bad, like an example of what not to do. Almost every possible bad move is here. Unless the kids are really gifted in some way, they represent future public burdens.
Surely Mobile isn’t that expensive, though? They might live beyond their means wherever they’re at
Iowa is a lot more expensive than Alabama.
@ is it though?
@@kendrapratt2098 true
This might seem too radical, but they should probably move to South America. Living expenses will be a fraction of what they are in the US. Not sure what he'd do for work there, but he could probably find something.
Why are they having so many kids? They can't afford to have more kids! Stop having kids!
Poor people always tend to have a lot of kids
I get the feeling that the two older ones aren't hers.
He is financially illiterate as well. Unfortunately, these are the people who had the majority of children in the country, poor people with no education.

Couples with kids on one income 40k a year, impossible to stay afloat in today's economy.
Well the wife chose not to work. That's the biggest issue IMHO. She could at least babysit other kids at home.
Yes 3 kids and one on the way is not a smart move but I'm sure he loves tax time . Earned income credits I'm sure he sees $10,000 plus
OF has brought so many women - married, mothers, etc from poverty. From home!
4 kids?!?! He’s sunk. There’s no coming back from this. All the talk about cars and extra jobs and side hustles and career changes is dumb when there’s four kids in the picture.
I wonder if the older two kids are hers.
41% interest rate!!!!?? I didn't realize people are this 🤪🤡🤡🤡

Who the hell buys a vehicle with 41% interest 🤷🏽♂️? And once your wife have the baby? Make it the last one?

Meanwhile a good friend of mine went from $21 to $38 an hour in a year by job hopping. Im trying to do the same
You would be smart to ask your friend for advice
Dave would say, Amputate the Tahoe!
Worse yet he is only 32, if he (husband) or she (wife) or they don't get fixed, there could be even more children, and they can't afford the ones they have!
Why the 4th kids for 🤣😂🤦♂️

A 41% car loan? Is that even legal? When I worked in the sub-prime personal loan and mortgage business, the highest we could go was around 29%.
Finally, they tell someone that the SAHM needs to get a job!
Yup on/off parenting
Not if she's married to this simp.
BTW why are you so hateful?
child care can cost more than what she'll make...
Right 👍
I think it was 21 that he said initially, then Jade heard 41 and asked if she was right, he must have misheard and confirmed
@jjukjkjiok7782 It sounds like 41% to me. I can't hear the initial consonant, but I can hear "...orty one".
2:43 johns face
Start profiting from landscaping. That will bring in 20k more annually. Make the wife work part time or work from home job. That’s another 20k at least and boom problem solved
I get it's Alabama, but $40k a year with a stay at home wife and essentially 4 kids is not doable. She either has to go to work or he needs to make more. To be honest she probably be better off divorcing him and having the government be the kids dad
Sadly you are probably right.m, but shhhh...don't say that too loud the poor struggling red hat supporters will have a fit😂
Then those kids are fooked.
How do you make only 40k in this world….. this makes zero sense
Mobile is well Mobile lol. Go work on a rig or at the port probably make lot more.
Stop having kids.
Somebody does.
Being a stay at home Mom these days, is like expecting to pay $1.05 a gallon for gas.
The rest of his life will be working 2 full-time jobs with no life.
Another child coming? I will withhold comment
He's in Alabama, If they believe in abortion she couldn't get one there.

How old is he?
He says 32
I find it absurd you have to make x3 you rent for an appartment but there is no requirement of income to raise a human. Let that sink in.
41% interest rate should be illegal under usury laws, not sure if that is even allowed
I make 30k to 35k on average a year...But im loaded because im cheap and dont have kids
Car salesmen who meet a person like this, see their debt load, and still sell them a loan like this are positively diabolical. (Yes he's a grown man but that's insanity on behalf of the car dealership)
If youre only making 40k, what in the actual hell made you think it was a good idea to have kids?
“Oops”
Children are gifts from God and the future of our country.
I’m 25 and trying to save for a car. Know what I won’t do? Have a damn child 😭

These people are breeding?
These folks earn 1/3 of what I do while having a better car than me 🤦🏿♂️
At 0:42- Dr.
Is 41% actually legal???
Stop spending money and stop having kids

It's actually hard to make only $40k working full time in 2024....but working 40 hours? Why? I hardly ever do this in my 50s. Work more.
