I love that more and more game makers are producing 'self-contained' addons/character packs/etc, where everything you need for the enclosed unit is included rather than having to buy more and more extras.
Also, specifically to the Bolt Action units, I love how they strike a nice balance of being more than just a one part game piece without the full complexity (and time investment) of a full blown model kit 😎👍

This is one of the new kits, and starting to see more sets with them in now which is awesome.

Nice review thanks for sharing the main problem with many of Warlord Games plastic thanks is the total lake of details on the road wheels which on the Panzer IV should be individual double road wheels and not the simplified blob of plastic warlord games have chosen to use. A massive disappointment that makes me prefer the.Rubicon models Panzer IV models over warlords. Even though Rubicon tanks are a bit more experience its worth it for the details.
If you like Warlord's plastics, you should check out Rubicon Models line of WW II tanks.
They're amazing, have better detail, and are about the same price as Warlord's.

A MkIV from Monogram or Tamiya was the first model I ever painted.

Ha!! I used some awful blue/grey enamel paint that my mom or dad had left over from some project. And a paint brush that was about half an inch wide. I guess I was 6 or 7 years old. Wouldn’t have won any prizes, that’s for sure.

I’m torn between starting a US or German force. I was in the U.S. Army so I will know more about the uniform and vehicle markings…
There’s a nice starter set with both German and US which might be good to try them both out before you expand to a full army
