- What good is knowing a whole bunch of scales on the guitar if you don’t know how to really use them?
In this video, I’m going to go over the Major Pentatonic Scale and show you some relatively simple riffs and improvisational techniques to practice so you can get more creative with your melodies. I’ll even show you how to infuse the Major Pentatonic Scale in the blues, so you can use it in your blues playing as well.

The chords F, C and G (bVII IV I in the key of G) can also be the IV I V (in the key of C). The C Major Pentatonic scale would also work over those chords.

Good video but just to to be clear you don't "have to" switch to C Major Pentatonic when you go to the IV chord (C Major). You can still stay in the G Major Pentatonic scale and work around the G and E notes as they are both in the C chord. Personally, I find this gives you more texture as if you are say working around the G note in the G Maj. Pent scale then go to the C chord and work around the C note there really is no variance as they are both the root of each chord. You have simply moved higher in pitch. However, if you work around the G note in the G Maj. Pent. scale around both the G and the C chord you have a different blend as the G is the root of the G chord but the 5th of the C chord

Great Video! Forgive me for chiming in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you researched - Riddleagan Skillful Playing Remedy (google it)? It is a great one of a kind guide for learning complex guitar chords and become a pro minus the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my m8 at last got excellent results with it.
