  • I am not an expert user of laser cutters / etchers but with the xTool D1 Pro 20w it is so easy to use I feel like I can make anything! It can cut through basically anything including paper, wood, leather, and multiple types of metal and acrylic . It can etch everything including metal and glass.
    I'm going to show over 12 projects I made using the xTool D1 Pro 20w and some of its accessories. I use the new Rotary Tool, Honeycomb Working Panel, air assist and some of xTool's engraving accessories. I can't believe I was able to make all of these cool things with zero experience.
    The xTool D1 Pro 20w Cutting and Engraving Machine is an industrial machine downsized for designers and hobbyists. All of the internal moving components are industrialized steel, but it is light enough to easy carry. The laser is accurate to .08 mm and moves with a precision of .01 mm. It has height adjustment, engraves and cuts numerous materials and is easy to adjust.

    Derek, make sure you never laser PVC as it will release chlorine gas. The projects you did came out really nice.

    I m new to laser machine and in market to use for making pop up cards from cardstock paper and some miniature wood pieces. I have Cricut maker machine.
    1) does it work on cardstock paper making intricate cuts or too strong for it?
    2) other tool air assist or honeycomb is optional in such application? like to try first and gradually like to add accessory.
    3) what is longevity of this machine? I read mixed review on amazon
    4)Looking at xtool d1 pro 10w or 20w . I see diff of 500 $ between them. Should I go with 20w ? Does 10W cut more intricate cuts then 20w?
    Quick reply (if u can) will be great as some deal may over soon by cyber monday.

    Where did you get the project files? I just got the same laser and haven't used it yet and I'm wondering where I'm gonna be able to download all the goods from since I don't know how to create it myself.

      I get a lot of them at Etsy. They are normally very cheap for the quality you get. Some of them I created on my own after I gained knowledge from analyzing the professional files I bought. Have fun :)

    Can one edge polyester/nylon backpacks or lanyards without cutting mesh strings?

    • @derekbanas
      @derekbanas  Год назад

      The cuts are very precise and I have found it is rather easy to place cuts using the framing tool, but I have never used it to cut backpack material. Sorry

      All I know is that I have had the xTool D1 10w for over 8 months and we used it a lot and we've not had any issues with it at all. I've only ever cleaned it maybe twice? The components are very solid.

    Hello! I am having issues with my Xtool D1 Pro Laser. I received it and tried it, the first try was perfect. Then the second time I tried it wouldn't work. The laser would move around but the laser light barely had any strength. It would move around as if it was doing the job and would take the amount of time the project would take, however there were no marks on the plywood or anything and the light was very very weak. You could barely see. I emailed customer service and it has now been a 3 month battle or recommendations and changes they want me to make which I have but nothing has solved the issue. I went ahead and tried another laser head which is the one for metals. I did 1 dog tag that came out beautiful. I went ahead and tried to do another dog tag....same thing happened....the light was too weak barely visible, the laser would move around as if it was doing de project but nothing would engrave. I didn't change anything on the setting from first project to second. I was working with pre-establish material settings. Power speed and all was verified and still nothing. Do you have any idea what it could be or how to fix it?

    Why did you stop with the machine learning tutorials?

    • @derekbanas
      @derekbanas  Год назад

      I might revisit it but most aren’t getting any views or comments so I didn’t think anyone liked them. I base a lot on what I do based off of the number of comments and percentage of video watched. If most people tune out 1 minute in to a 90 minute video I normally stop making them
