- I am not an expert user of laser cutters / etchers but with the xTool D1 Pro 20w it is so easy to use I feel like I can make anything! It can cut through basically anything including paper, wood, leather, and multiple types of metal and acrylic . It can etch everything including metal and glass.
I'm going to show over 12 projects I made using the xTool D1 Pro 20w and some of its accessories. I use the new Rotary Tool, Honeycomb Working Panel, air assist and some of xTool's engraving accessories. I can't believe I was able to make all of these cool things with zero experience.
The xTool D1 Pro 20w Cutting and Engraving Machine is an industrial machine downsized for designers and hobbyists. All of the internal moving components are industrialized steel, but it is light enough to easy carry. The laser is accurate to .08 mm and moves with a precision of .01 mm. It has height adjustment, engraves and cuts numerous materials and is easy to adjust.

Very helpful, thank you!
Very cool! Great info, thanks!
Great video. Thank you.
Excellent well laid out video. It inspires you.
Derek, make sure you never laser PVC as it will release chlorine gas. The projects you did came out really nice.
I'm super safe, but thank you for the heads up. Thank you. It's cool that a person like me that isn't very artistic can make stuff like this!
Yeah they need to remove that from there booklet that's a lawsuit waiting to happen lol.
Mister Nielsen thanks for he info, we always must be careful with this equipment, they are NOT toys.
Great green screen effect on the green earrings.
Those are actually invisible earrings :D
I'm wondering if I can make my own projects. This looks really cool.
Nice video and love your excitement ; )
That looks very cool
Thanks Stan :) It's kind of amazing a dope like me can make stuff like this
Hi derek,
Beautiful designs. Can i ask what transparent material you used for the back of the koi design?
Great tool. Regards from Mexico
Hello Mexico :) It is pretty cool! I can't believe it works with next to no experience
Hey there, great video! I am looking to engrave stainless steel or silver pendants as well as powder coated mugs. Do you recommend this unit for these things over other lasers?
Can you explain the 3D etching in depth a bit?
You're doing these videos now? I used to watch all your programming vids back in the day.
Do you design your own cut/burn files? How can I obtain some of these files if possible? Thanks
when to expect calc 1,2,3? saw the precal already covered! thanks in advance
Mister Banas thanks for the video.
I would like to ask a question, what about stamps rubber and polymer plates for graphics arts?
Is it possible a test?
Best regards.
I m new to laser machine and in market to use for making pop up cards from cardstock paper and some miniature wood pieces. I have Cricut maker machine.
1) does it work on cardstock paper making intricate cuts or too strong for it?
2) other tool air assist or honeycomb is optional in such application? like to try first and gradually like to add accessory.
3) what is longevity of this machine? I read mixed review on amazon
4)Looking at xtool d1 pro 10w or 20w . I see diff of 500 $ between them. Should I go with 20w ? Does 10W cut more intricate cuts then 20w?
Quick reply (if u can) will be great as some deal may over soon by cyber monday.
I love you video how ever can you please make more
Thank you very much :) when I make some new projects I will
I have the XTool D1 Pro 20W and I want to engrave my Apple Watch band. Do you have any settings for this? Thanks
Where did you get the project files? I just got the same laser and haven't used it yet and I'm wondering where I'm gonna be able to download all the goods from since I don't know how to create it myself.
I get a lot of them at Etsy. They are normally very cheap for the quality you get. Some of them I created on my own after I gained knowledge from analyzing the professional files I bought. Have fun :)
Can one edge polyester/nylon backpacks or lanyards without cutting mesh strings?
The cuts are very precise and I have found it is rather easy to place cuts using the framing tool, but I have never used it to cut backpack material. Sorry
What computer program did you use? What operating system did you use?
I used xTools software www.xtool.com/pages/software and I tested it on both Windows and PC
Hey, how long do you think this cheap lasers will last? Saw some nasty comments on other slightly cheaper tools like Neye 3 that after few months of working with it you can see huge decrease of quality
All I know is that I have had the xTool D1 10w for over 8 months and we used it a lot and we've not had any issues with it at all. I've only ever cleaned it maybe twice? The components are very solid.
ever plan to resume the machine learning series, (tensorflow)?
I could at any time, but they were only getting about 7000 views, and 100 likes. I didn't think people liked them which is why I stopped. I have countless other videos where I use data science to analyze the stock market and more. Have you seen them?
Great video. I really like these sort of videos. One question, will you be live on chess today (I reallly want to play you). Thanks! P.S Your python course was really helpful!
It’s fun for me to mix up the content every once in a while. I’m glad you liked it! I’ll probably play chess on lichess in about 30 minutes if you want to challenge me?
Hello! I am having issues with my Xtool D1 Pro Laser. I received it and tried it, the first try was perfect. Then the second time I tried it wouldn't work. The laser would move around but the laser light barely had any strength. It would move around as if it was doing the job and would take the amount of time the project would take, however there were no marks on the plywood or anything and the light was very very weak. You could barely see. I emailed customer service and it has now been a 3 month battle or recommendations and changes they want me to make which I have but nothing has solved the issue. I went ahead and tried another laser head which is the one for metals. I did 1 dog tag that came out beautiful. I went ahead and tried to do another dog tag....same thing happened....the light was too weak barely visible, the laser would move around as if it was doing de project but nothing would engrave. I didn't change anything on the setting from first project to second. I was working with pre-establish material settings. Power speed and all was verified and still nothing. Do you have any idea what it could be or how to fix it?
Why did you stop with the machine learning tutorials?
I might revisit it but most aren’t getting any views or comments so I didn’t think anyone liked them. I base a lot on what I do based off of the number of comments and percentage of video watched. If most people tune out 1 minute in to a 90 minute video I normally stop making them
@@derekbanas i understand. If possible, one inventory analysis tutorial would be great.
